Really loved the place! It was small yes, however it was such a cute little room and the best part was the huge TV! Me and my friend really enjoyed our stay in the cozy room, which had a modern feel. Receptionist were very friendly and helpful, and everyday they'll provide new bottles of water if you request to 'make up room'. You can also store your luggage there after check-out if your flight is later after check-out. Heating was great too and the shower had great water pressure. Location wise, it's located somewhere in an alley, however it's a 5 min walk to a subway station and there are several convenience stores nearby. Additionally, the airport bus stop is just straight down the road, so easy to access when arriving and leaving. I totally recommend the place and honestly I miss coming back to the hotel after a long day of walking in the cold! 10/10 :)

To be honest, I liked everything :)

Although the hotel is located opposite a karaoke bar, you cannot hear any noise from outside with the window closed. Room and bathroom were lovely - the shampoo/body washes smelled so good! The TV was absolutely HUGE and had all the apps you need. Bed was also so comfy and the black out blinds meant we had a lovely night sleep.

The temperature of the water was quite temperamental and on occasion got extremely hot randomly and ended up burning my partner and I. The hotel is located down a back street, which was quite dark at night. I’m sure it is safe but something to consider if you are a solo female traveller who may feel uneasy walking alone

the room is very decent and the space is good enough for two people. the best is very comfortable and everything was very clean. staff was helpful but English skills were to be improved. location is good, as the bus station is right outside of the hotel and metro is only walking distance (5-10min). there are plenty of restaurants and food stalls around. rooms are relatively soundproof and I could sleep well.

even though we stayed for 6 nights, the sheets weren’t cleaned or tidied during house keeping.

Super clean room. Spacious enough to house two and the television was so huge i love it. Walls were also soundproof. Place was only few stops away from Dongdaemun/Myeongdong and there is a straight bus to Hongdae/Gangnam too! Ara is also situated right by Dongmyo station where the airport limousine also stops at. Super convenient getting around. Place was also surrounded by coin laundry places, eateries and convenient stores so not to worry.

My second stay here, and i was very satisfied! Loved that they let me check in early on a cold day! I had an early flight and went to drop my luggage before going out and about, but the staff at the counter said the room was ready and that I could check in! Really pleasantly surprised at theit hospitality~ Amenities are accessible from the ground floor. The room was just nice for a solo traveller. Bed is very comfortable, and they cleaned daily. The airport bus stops at the Dongmyo bus stop in front of the hotel. And many convenient stores nearby for snacks and drinks. Many food shops too! The subway station is also short walking distance. They also give adaptors at the check in counter if you need!

We felt so lucky finding this place after having a very unpleasant experience with a dirty and old accommodation. Can truly say this is a gem as I have noticed the majority of the affordable accommodation places in Seoul are dealing with hygiene problems. The accommodation is extremely new and clean, bed is super comfortable and the hotel is located 4 minutes away from the metro station and very well connected with the rest of the city. We had an early flight and the bus station was right across the street from where Ara hotel was located which was extremely useful. We had our room on the 4th floor and after checking in, we noticed the internet wasn’t working properly. After bringing this problem to the staff they were extremely quick to solve it by bringing us a router and connecting it. Water was provided at our arrival and for the rest of the stay. Overall, would recommend it to anyone as it is a great value for money.

very clean with a reasonable amount of amenities. exceeded my expectations, especially for the price of it; if you ever run into trouble with something in your room & reception isn’t there, assistance can immediately be found at the hotel next door (hotel DM).

the only problem was the location as it’s in an alley & can appear unsafe at night, but the neighbourhood itself is actually very friendly & there is always at least a few people on every turn. so, technically, there isn’t anything to not like!

One of the front desk staff was very helpful and kind, always smiley and good natured, and even helped me secure housekeeping one evening when I'd rested in the room the whole day and had only managed to leave the room at 5.30pm. I was so grateful 😊!! This was my second stay at Ara. I came back because I like the comfy room, the very clean and pretty bathroom and sink areas, and the big TV and general spaciousness and orderliness of the room. It always smells nice and clean. It's a very short walk from the subway station Dongmyo, which makes it really convenient to get anywhere.

I did laundry at the new laundromat attached to DM Hotel, their sister hotel two doors away. The washing machine didn't seem to add detergent to the load even though it said it was automatically provided. (DM Hotel gave me a refund on the money I'd put into the machine.) A bit of a panic moment, I had to get detergent from the convenience store across the road since it was late at night and other shops were closed.

Room was clean and spacious, solid walls, huge TV, no disturbances at all. :) Loved the bathroom and sink area, all new and aesthetically pleasing. Housekeeping was a bit absent sometimes, but because I requested for water, they left two new bottles outside my door every day.

No view, small window (but I wasn't looking for a view so this was not an issue for me). Had a bit of difficulty figuring out where to do the laundry -- the detergent can be purchased at the sister hotel and the laundromat is just behind the sister hotel. Location is a little bit out of the way but not a big problem.

The hotel is very conveniently located, close to the subway station, with airport buses right outside the door, convenience stores, local restaurants and small shops all available. The waiter was very friendly and helped us answer all kinds of questions. The room was clean and comfortable.

I will use the Google navigation for the first time and take the small road. It would be nice if there were hotel directions on the small road.
