i loved how chill and nice this place was! if you’re young (or older, i guess it doesn’t really matter :)) and don’t spend much time at your accommodation, Hostel Haru is perfect! It is in a great location, was very cleanly and well kept, the building was easy to find and connected to a convenience store. It was a great experience and as a traveler that spends most of her day out, the small size of the accommodation didn’t disturb me at all :p The cleaners were excellent and thorough with all their room cleaning as well as Hostel Haru being great hosts and offering amenities like laundry, water, charger rentals, and top of the line microwaves and kettles.

That being said, if you do like to spend time in your room relaxing and enjoying your accommodation, you might want to rethink staying here. The beds are clean and comfy, but still very small. As it is a hostel, there is also often shared living spaces which can be hard to manage at times.

I had an outstanding stay at Hostel Haru. I was in South Korea for a month, spending my final week in Seoul. Hostel Haru's location was absolutely perfect. I love walking whenever possible, taking my time to explore a city on foot. Depending on my destination, there was a train station in either direction (the most I walked to get to one was 10-15 minutes, Myeongdong Station). Cheonggyecheon Stream is 2 minutes away, if that. It only took 15 minutes to walk to Gyeongbokgung Palace. I was very grateful to be that close since it was raining the day that I booked a tour of the palace. The changing of the guards ceremony had been canceled that morning due to the inclement weather. Very convenient to return on a sunny day to watch (there is a ceremony in the morning and another in the afternoon). The room itself was very clean, and quiet. Very cute and large lounge space available on both the 10th and 11th floors. Such a relief to be able to leave my luggage behind the check-in counter (10th floor), on both the day that I arrived and the day that I checked out. Had no issues at all. Communicating with Hostel Haru was great -- sent messages via the Booking.com app and found them very responsive. I did inquire about laundry although I ended up not doing any since I was running around the city all day, returning in the late evening. There is a laundry room which you can use for a fee (submit an inquiry and they'll provide you the access code to the laundry room). They will also provide you info on a nearby coin-operated laundromat if you prefer to use that instead. Thank you, Hostel Haru! Will definitely stay again should I be lucky enough to visit Seoul again some day!

The facility was modern and clean. It was quiet for the most part and walking distance of main bus and subway lines. I felt safe and really enjoyed this hostel.

Walls are quite thin so you can hear loud noises from other rooms (coughing, phone, loud talking). For the most part, it wasn’t an issue and it was pretty quiet. Some other guests in my room didn’t like how hard the beds were, but I used to live in Korea and was used to it. Lastly, I asked for an extra blanket but was told by the staff via Booking.com I wouldn’t need it and the bed blanket would be sufficient; it wasn’t and I was cold some nights and had to layer up. I think for others it was fine, but I tend to get cold easily from the air conditioning.

I stayed at Hostel Haru for 5 nights in a 4 bed female dorm. I had a wonderful time and will absolutely recommend it to friends as a great place to stay. I found the location very conveniently located between lines 1 & 2 which make the city super accessible. The hostel is quiet, clean and very well maintained. I enjoyed exploring the local area restaurants and bars and found that the popular neighbouring area only a short walking distance away.

There weren't any laundry services from what I could see. I stayed 5 nights so I was keen to do laundry during this time. With no staff around I had to seek out alternative options a few blocks away. I would recommend either bringing in a laundry service for guests or provide guests with instructions/assistance on how to find options nearby.

I loved the location it was a super quick walk to most things and if it wasn't it was super close to the train stations and bus stops so super convenient. I also loved the little hangout areas and the view from that section on the 11th floor was unmatched. Super nice to sit and eat your dinner and look out over the city.

I wish there was more than 1 toilet for the 6 people in the room, it would be good even if there was one in the hallway incase the one in the room is in use. Was kinda weird that its unmanned so that meant leaving your bag behind the desk but no one is actually watching it. Although to get into the area you need a code for the door so I still found it safe.

The location was excellent! Great view of the stream!! The building was neat, and clean and was in a very foody area, even with a 7-11 downstairs and a GS-25 a short walk! The building was quiet from the street (in the room where you sleep) in the common space it was noisy with the window open. The common space was super lovely too, that's what made me book. Overall great experience with the comfortability of my stay

Communication between staff and guests wasn't that good, replies took a long time and the self-check-in was confusing for others as I had to help another guest "check-in". You emailed them a picture of your passport page as "evidence" of checking in which felt very odd to me. The room was nice, however, the few of the females staying there had no concept of quiet time and were blow-drying their hair at midnight, past the quiet time hours, and this happened every single night. Not having breakfast service wasn't an issue for me, it just would have been nice to have a coffee machine! No laundry service either, unless you're a long-stay guest and it was all very hush-hush.

Cleanliness,Location,Safe, Read Below.. Tidiness and cleanliness is superb. We stayed for 2 weeks and they literally cleaned everyday (emptying our bin was a must for us). They change bedsheet every 3days. We arrived at almost 1am and the owner gave very detailed instructions. The hostel smelllssss so good and the owner is very particular with tidiness. Although we had a private triple room, we were still able to use the common area both 10 and 11th floor. On nights were we opted not to dine out, we just bought food at 7/11 downstairs and have it in the quiet shared lounge. It had a great view and were complete of kitchen applicances/utensils. As we stayed on a long term, the owner allowed us to use the laundry (free)and dryer (5k won) which was really helpful for us as we did not want to bring back a luggage just full of dirty clothes and we were able to reuse some of our already worn clothes in the first few days. All doors to each floor has digital locks so very safe. Although the room was a bit small for us to move around since we had at least 3 large suitcasws and 2 medium ones, the room size was considerable. Location was perfect. The area is where long alley of restaurants in Seoul open late so u will never ho hungry for a proper sit down food at 12mn. Closest station is only 2 stops from Seoul Station. Around 10-15mins walk to myeongdong. Also close to so many bus stops. Next to Cheonggyecheon stream- its 11km long and is great for a lovely afternoon or evening walks.

Bed wasnt so comfortable i wish they were better. Guess we were all not used to hard foam bed. Okay for short stay but not for long term as you can feel its not great :) The beddings though were still neat and clean. I asked for 2hrs late checkout as we were really struggling to packup but we were declined immediately bec it needs to cleaned considering new customers (checkout at 10am check in at 2pm) I wish we were at least given even 30mins which would have been appreciated.

The design was very pretty, a relaxing space to enjoy after a flight or a city stroll. We stayed 3 nights - and loved it! The location was excellent to discover the city and taking strolls, the room comfortable, the bed very hard. We loved that there was shower gel / shampoo / conditioner - everything smelling so nice! On the 10th floor you could get filtered water and sit in the lounge enjoying the views...

The check in process was a bit "unpersonal" - send us a picture of the passport :D at the same time it is very efficient! Thank you so much, Hostel Haru!

The place is super modern and super clean. There is a quiet atmosphere. It's on the 10th floor so little to no outside noise. Self check-in with the door codes works well. The neigborhood is cool, downstairs is the 7 11, and in the neighboring streets there is lots of food places and also bars. Also walking distance from the Myeongdong shopping district. The metro is closeby.

The place was super quiet, which I liked but the last 2 nights I was alone in the 8 bed room. The privacy was nice but sometimes I would have liked some roommates to talk to. There is also very little staff there, I only saw the cleaners. It was no problem for me though.

Central location,even though the address guidance showed the wrong “entrance/side of the building”. The bed was nice, with a small flatscreen, however I didn’t use it. The lockers didn’t work, but it felt safe. There came a guide and claimed he was picking up a tourist, and then he wanted to use the bathroom. I of course declined, as it was a room for women… a bit odd and also scary, that you have to think about who you are letting in the door.

The noise from the bathroom was very loud. From the doors, the ventilation, the hairdryer… to general noise, maybe a little “sound work” would help.
