Very friendly and helpful staff are always quick to reply on KakaoTalk. The washer/dryer very handy. Cool/hot filtered water available. The room fit a double and large single bed. I like the plugs next to each bed. And the pink aesthetic is very cute. There was an issue with our bathroom but the owners were very quick to fix the problem and provided a solution while we were waiting for it to be fixed. Also very very greatful for how accomodating the owners were to let us check in early after over 24hrs of travelling. They provide a Manual which is very informative with directions and attractions nearby. The location is great, close to Jong-gak trainstation, the street comes alive at night and theres The Avenue of Youth is pretty cool and the Cheongyechong stream is a 2minute walk away. So many seoul attractions are nearby within 20minutes or less of walking. We had a good time at MJ Stays.

The beds are very hot, I think its because of the matress protector? But the beds/bedding are very standard, which is I guess reflects the price they charge. You get what you pay for, which is fair. I understand the rooms are small, but there is not much storage or surfaces to place your things. A small shelf next to the beds would be nice, and some more hooks/hangers on the bare walls, i feel like this might make the space better. *although, there are fold out tables/chairs in the hallway if needed, so this is a good solution. For some reason the tv volume wouldnt go below 32 haha No conditioner in bathroom. Not much natural light in room 604.

- The location is strategic. 2-3mins of walk to bus/train station. The whole area is very central, close to all attractions. We went home at 1am in the morning and it's still crowded, very safe area to walk around - the host is welcoming and quick to communicate. They welcomed us with smiles - The room is very good. Comfortable. We can have 4 small luggages opened at the same time. Good for 2 ppl. - The bathroom is good for an accomdation of such, spacious, has all toiletries you need. - The room is clean, basic ammenities. Happy with it.

Not that I didnt like, just something to keep in mind The area is quite crowded and full of bars so expect some noises on weekends. I am not sensitive to noises but ppl who are should keep this in mind. You will not have room clean for the entire stay. And have to separate gabbage on your own.

It is right on top of some restaurants street. We had supper at 3 am for 3 nights. Some restaurants open till 6 am

Nothing really the room is small n has no frills but for that price and location what else do we want, I stay with 3 kids so if it works it is good for adults. My room was across community room with dryer and washer, soundproofing was amazing I hear no noise.actually for hostels there is lots of privacy.

- It's located only 3 mins walking from Jonggak metro station, exit 4. If you travel with big and heavy luggage, you should take exit 3 since there is an elevator. - There are hundreds of restaurant, food stores on that street. It likes the street for local office staff drinking and networking after work. That's why it's crowded till midnight. - There is a convenient store right at the corner. - The staff can communicate well in English and supportive. - You can use washing machine and dryer there for free. - You can leave your luggage there before and after the check-in, check-out time.

- We stayed there for 3 nights, they had better clean our room, at least once.

Really fuss-free and pleasant experience here for the price — clean rooms, nice bed, sufficient space for luggage. Laundry self-service and dryer is available, very kind owners. Location is also good with restaurants/bars and cafes in the area. I will recommend anyone who’s looking for an affordable private room! I will definitely consider staying here again

FYI - i wasn't very bothered by this but i had to put a 'what i didn't like' portion for a review on booking.com: rooms won’t be cleaned/made during your stay; but you can use the vaccum cleaner located on the hall; throw your own trash outside your rooms during your stay

The owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We were allowed a much earlier check in which allowed us to settle in and rest after a long trip. The bed was very comfortable, I slept like a baby in it despite a loud alley with bars right outside. There's a washing machine and a dryer along with a water station for everyone to use. There's also plenty of space to store your luggage before the check in or after the check out.

Moldy walls hidden behind the curtains were the only off putting thing.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. The location is superb, super close to Jonggak station and it is flat ground. There is elevator so this is really a plus. They provided vacuum cleaner, washing machine and dryer, ironing facility, water dispenser and microwave at common areas. They also provide space to keep luggages and a scale! There are a lot of shops and convenience stores nearby, even Olive Young is just around the corner! Thanks for making our visit in Korea much better.

It would be perfect if they could provide the housekeeping service especially for long stay. But they gave us new towels and beddings when we asked, but we have to change the beddings by ourselves.

Good location, very near to subway station which can take you anywhere in Seoul. Close to main attractions in the city, can just walk to get to the places of interest. There’s a guest terrace equipped with washer, dryer, iron, toaster. The room and bathroom is very clean too.

Room is quite small but that doesn’t matter much. The bath towel used in Korea is small which we normally used it as face towel in Malaysia.

Great place to stay! Rooms are clean and very comfy. We stayed for 8 nights. You can do your laundry for free. They provide everything we requested without any charges. Their front desk officer can understand and speak english. no need to worry about purchasing an adapter. you can borrow for free. 3 mins away from jonggak subway station and bus station which is very convenient. 18 mins walk to myeongdong street food area. There are also a lot for restos and stores nearby. 3 mins walk to olive young. I highly recommend MJ Stay 🫰💗💗

I came to seoul for a business trip and was also seeing a show over by the palace so I needed a cheap place to stay by myself within walking distance of that. This worked. The room was cleaner than I expected from the area. There were plenty of restaurants and mini-marts and cafes nearby.

They kept trying to make me add them on a chat app, but I was not worried about not being able to find it. I arrived after 10 pm and there was nobody there and my card was put in a safety box and they emailed me the codes. It wasn't a problem, but I was not expecting to check myself in, haha. There were also no water bottles or kettle in the room, which was a first in Korea for me; even rooms half the price usually give those things. They did have a water machine and a microwave in the common room though.
