Breakfast was simple (eggs, butter, jam, toasts) But good to have possibility to eat on premises.

Missing mosquitoes nets on the windows. We wanted fresh air and mosquitoes flow in.

The breakfast was self service and the rules as explained by the counter staff were observed by the people staying in the hostel. The hostel is only a short walk from the subway station and the location has lots of shops and eateries, and pharmacies that suit the needs anytime.

The blanket was not washed from the last stay and had a smell despite being covered with a clean fresh sheet cover.

I recommend it for a couple of nights. The location is good, close to the metro stop. There is air conditioning. The staff is very responsive. The price is very good and breakfast is included. You have to cook breakfast yourself, there are cereals, milk, juice, raw eggs, bread, butter, jam, tea, coffee, water. I saw in the reviews that there is problem with hot water. It turns out that there is a device on the wall in the room where you can turn on or off the hot water heating. Everything was fine with the water when the employee showed which button to press on the panel.

There is no closet, just a rod with hangers.

Easy to take bus to myeongdong. Train stn nearby. Near mini market.

While there are nearby stores and shops, the neighborhood is generally quiet, which I like most. The room is clean, neat, and spacious. The location is near Seoul Forest and Ki Bakery, so if you want to exercise in the morning or buy some pastries, this place is for you.  Also, the receptionist is friendly and accommodating. I asked if there was a nearby terminal for buses going to the airport, and he immediately gave me directions and even a map. Overall, I loved my stay here. I felt safe and comfortable.

None. But if you'll be checking in early, you have to wait until 8:00 a.m. for the reception/office to open.

Good location in a less touristy neighbor. Close to 2 metro stations (Wangsimni and Sangwangsimni) and bus stations. There is an airport bus station nearby (bus 6010), across the road from Wangsimni Station Exit 4, and there is an elevator at Wangsimni station Exit 4 too if you prefer going to and from the airport by subway. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The room was clean and a good size for a solo traveller like me. I imagine it would be a bit small for 2 people but it’s Seoul so that’s the average hotel room size for you. There is a kitchen where you can use the microwave and kitchenware after breakfast hours. Washing machine and dryer can also be used for 5,000 KRW each.

it was really close to a train station, and decently close to a mall with good food and shopping. there were multiple convenience stores for snacks and little meals nearby too!

While we were there, we couldn’t figure out the AC if there was any, and the windows don’t actually open so it can get a little toasty and stale. The beds were comfy, but it’s just a duvet, so if you’re a sheets in bed kind of person, this may not be for you. we tended to need to use the subway for about 30 mins every time we wanted to visit something, which is in no way bad, but you may want to put yourself closer to some locations if you’re on a time crunch.

Very good value for money Good location - not so crowded but also not far from city center (i.e., Myeong-dong), near Sangwangsimni subway station (with elevators!) and bus stops, has many food options/restaurants around the area and has a nearby supermarket, Olive Young, etc. Size of the room - nice functional bathroom (even if the shower and sink are in the same space), fits big luggages, clean Has free breakfast for guests - cereals, bread, coffee, tea, instant soup, egg (you just have to do the cooking) With reliable staff

Breakfast has a time limit - 8-10AM only, but even if you're at the pantry before 10AM, they will request you to go out to clean the area even if you haven't finished eating! That is fine as long as they say that cleaning time is at exactly 10AM and guests are requested not to stay in the area during this time.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. I was not feeling well and they helped me out so nicely. The location is also very good, very close to the sangwangsimni metro line which is very well connected. The hotel is located right on the main road so its safe for female solo travellers as well.

The walls are a bit then so you can hear sounds from other rooms sometimes but that wasn't a major issue as I was out the whole day.

The staff was very friendly. The receptionist had a very good English. He helped us with everything, recommended good places to visit. Our stay in Seoul was very short, only 2 days and we spent these two days very great all thanks to K-Grand Hostel Dongdaemun. Special thanks for the mr who worked in reception. He was the best on his job. 👏👏👏 And the hotel provided us with guide book, city map and subway map, with clear explanations which was very helpful. If I'm gonna visit Seoul one more time I'm definitely staying here again. Extra point for the location. Very close to subway line 2, and the airport bus station. I really liked the breakfast, everything was fresh and well provided.
