The room was clean, and the bed was nice and comfortable. And I like the fact that the hotel uses regular size dispensers for soaps in the bathroom instead of wasteful single-use items. The hotel is close to the Shinseoldong subway station, which is conveniently on three subway lines (though the station itself is a confusing maze). Checking in and out was convenient, and the hotel sent a text message with check-in info (nice if you arrive late and the front desk is closed).

My key card did not work on the room door - I had to use the entry code that the hotel sent me via text message. The front desk is on the 20th floor, which is odd, and is not open 24 hours. The hotel seems to mainly caters to younger tourists and solo business travelers. Their no-children rule means it's not good for families with kids, but it's fine for solo or younger adult travelers. The room does not have a TV or landline phone, and is also small (maybe 10-15 square meters), but again, not an issue for the type of guests that this hotel is intended for.

Location was great, near a metro station and near a bus stop (we took a bus direct from Incheon airport); a convenience store nearby and free laundry service. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly, they helped us to see the best route to go to the airport and also gave us a 20% off coupon for the coffee shop on the first floor. There is a vending machine to get some snacks or rice in the common area, also many utensils in the kitchen, useful to prepare food.

Mangrove Sinseol is a nice structure, aimed primarly at people needing medium term stay. Rooms average size, featuring lots of shelves and a nice desk (furniture is meant for people who might need to work there). Common areas include laundries and common kitchen every other floor, as well as a gym in the basement and a wonderful common room with two terraces on the top floor. the automated coin-locker at ground floor is super convenient: can keep your luggage up to 7 days and the price is less than half what you would pay in any locker at a train station. Location is a bit out of the city centre, but is straight over Sinseol station on line 1 - linking to Seoul Station

The hotel is new and one can feel it. Air conditioning, a lot of small shelves, wardrobe, table and chairs. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There was a small skin care present at check-in. The hotel is a bit out of city center but has a good fast metro connection.

i stayed in both sinseol and dongdaemun branches and they are very different. for sinseol, i think they focused on the details a lot. staff are super nice and friendly. my room was right near the kitchen which was super convenient. the kitchen has mostly everything you need and was clean. the room was fairly clean, but i did find that if you look closely it wasn't spotless. air conditioning kept me cool. for one person the room is very spacious. library and community spaces were also nice to visit, i often spent some nights before going to bed in the library to relax and look at some books. there is a subway station and bus stop right in front of the building which was really nice and convenient. although you have to buy detergent (the one i bought from the mangrove store wasn't very good) you can you use washing machine and dryer as many times as you want. the dryer was amazing, it would dry my clothes in an hour or so which is convenient.

it wasn't extremely dirty but it wasn't clean either. the walls had a few stains on it and the bathroom had a few stains as well. it seems like its been a while since this branch of mangrove opened so there is some wear and tear. the window was also a bit dirty on the outside but they did a clean of all the windows during my stay. one thing that i really dislike about both mangrove branches is the bedding. the mattress cover often slides off the mattress and for me personally it was kind of uncomfortable. the bathroom had a shower curtain but the floor would all get wet. theres also no mirror or anything on the desk area so theres nowhere to sit comfortably and do your makeup etc, i had to stand in the bathroom and do my makeup.

Very affordable and good value for your money, would definitely return here on future trips! :)

Room is like a uni dorm, very cute. Mine is on the even number floor and close to the public kitchen, so it's convenient to have drinking water and take-out food. The hotel is right above the Sinseol-dong station. Checkin and checkout are both self service via mobile phone. I can exchange money and store my luggage on the ground floor. Looking forward to next time stay. I want to tryout the gym.

I had a lot of questions for the staff and they were gracious and helpful. I appreciated that so much. I loved the whole vibe. The kitchen, the laundry and the close proximity to restaurants and cafes as well as excellent transport links to almost everywhere in Seoul! I truly enjoyed my stay.

The emplacement is AMAZING ! you got bus and subway just in front of the hotel. It’s a safe place. The personal of the hotel is friendly. Room are clean and you have space for big luggage

- Window doesn’t close fully or at least there is still noise outside. So it’s not soundproof 100%. - You have to filter your garbage even if it’s an hotel. I would recommend to have different kind of trash in the room.
