- not separate dry and wet bathroom - only short towl provided (but you can take as you need) - after 11 pm main entrance will close you need to get in from the backdoor I think it’s a bit too dark and scary

If you're coming to Korea, this is the best place to stay — hands down! Located right in the heart of Myeongdong, this guesthouse offers the absolute best location in Seoul. It's in a hotspot area within walking distance to major tourist attractions, and just 2 minutes away from both the metro and bus stations. It’s also the best area for shopping and street food. You can safely return even late at night — the streets are alive with open restaurants, convenience stores, currency exchanges, and essential shops. Everything you need is right there — much more convenient than staying in other parts of the city. The rooms and the guesthouse are super clean, neat, cozy, and very well managed. But what truly makes this place special is the mazing staff and management team, who always greet you with a big smile and are ready to assist. I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world, but nowhere have I felt more welcomed. The staff went above and beyond to assist me with every question and request — I genuinely felt like I was at home. I’ll definitely stay here again. Just don’t make the same mistake I did: I didn’t pay for my full stay upfront while waiting for my visa and had to move out for two nights — they were fully booked. I deeply regretted it because other places didn’t come close to the comfort, cleanliness, and warmth of Sunshine Guesthouse. Another great plus: they have a laundry area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy common area where you can work, relax, or meet fellow travelers, and repeated guests. As a solo traveler, I met amazing people here and made lifelong friends. This guesthouse didn’t just meet my expectations — it exceeded them and made my Seoul experience unforgettable. This is our second time staying here. First was last November with only two of us and now we got 2 rooms— 1 for our own family with a Toddler and the other one for out senior parents. The property was very clean, at the center of restaurants, coffee shops and convenience stores, train station and airport bus drop off was super nearby too. The check in and check out was seamless & everything we needed were all here. Free hot and cold water, some other freebie food on the table and the utensils are easily available for everyone. This is definitely value for money. The staff were also so nice. They helled with our requests and made sure our rooms are ready and equipped with adaptors upon arrival at midnight. It’s the cheapest place in the area too! Definitely worth it. This will surely be our designated home accomodation everytime we’re seoul.

1. its just so happen the room that was given has its bad smell even if they have a spray given. 2. would be nice if they let us use of the common area 24hrs because like us we usually have a tour package so we do need to wake up early and it would give a big help if we could have a small meal/coffee before we go. 3. the plug is not universal ( they should have it upgraded)

Very convenient location. If you intend to join tours by Klook, the station pick up is just a short 3min walk away (unless you have young children) Shopping district so u can shop and drop off shopping bag then back to shop again! Then Olive Young nearby is huge! Regret not buying more before I move to other parts of Korea bcos the other Olive Young I visited were not as big. Staff at check in was friendly and approachable.

Recycling is a big part in Korea. So when we packed food to eat at the common lounge, we were being watched by another person (not the same guy who did the check in) to ensure that we really place the items into the right corner. Ended up spending half an hour to sort and clean up. So I think it’s less stressful to eat out. Might have been a little different if the guy was more approachable and smiled a little more. The beds were not comfortable, but for that price and location, can’t expect much. Bring your own towels, unless u don’t mind the heavy detergent smell.

The staff was super friendly and very detailed in sharing the information you need to know. I had my own room for some privacy and it was very clean. The size of the room was relatively small but I spent most of the time outside so it didn't bother me. Location is super close to Myeongdong station and the shopping area.

The entrance was a bit hard to find, but once you get to the left side of the building and find the elevator, you're good 👍 And the wall is kinda thin so you just have to tire out yourself before going back for some rest.

the guesthouse is close to the myeongdong shopping street. The airport limousine stop is just 5mins walk away. The bathroom gives out a sewage smell, but the owner put an automatic airfreshener in the bathroom to get rid of the smell.

The convenience of transport and amenities nearby.

One washing machine. Not enough for group usage. No dryer. Limited time usage. Possible solution. If there can be a laundry room fitted with 2 washing machine and 2 dryer will be ideal. Just for consideration.

Awesome location yet almost no noise from the streets below (double paned windows). Bed was comfy, AC much welcome, bathroom small but perfectly fine. The room also had a mini-fridge. There is a small shared kitchen too next to the reception which we didn't use (with so much street food around) but could come in handy if you want to make something simple / heat something up.

The walls were a bit thin so when our neighbours stayed up late and chatted until the early morning hours, that woke us up a few times during the night.
