Pros: The room cooled down very well, and it was nice to have a warm blanket provided. Everything was clean, and the Wi-Fi worked well on all floors. There’s a beautiful night view of the city from the window, which I really enjoyed. The shared kitchen was very convenient and well-equipped, and the terrace was also a great place to relax. Breakfasts were tasty, even if not very varied.

Cons: In the room, the bathroom floor gets wet quickly after a shower, and there’s no water squeegee provided to help dry it. It would also be helpful to have more hooks for hanging clothes or towels. The shower itself works with a push-button system and stops automatically, but there’s no way to turn it off manually once it's on. This can be uncomfortable if the water turns out too hot or cold, since opening the shower door would cause water to spill all over the bathroom floor. In the common areas, I noticed that although the third-floor terrace is marked as non-smoking, staff members were smoking there in front of guests, which was disappointing.

The atmosphere was great. I loved the layout of the facility. Everything was clearly marked so that it was easy to see no matter where you were where the common area was, where the kitchen was, and the two levels that had outdoor areas. The rooftop terrace was, by far, the best. It was a great place to easily meet other travelers, and the staff were extremely helpful, especially for people like me who get confused easily and have been traveling alone. Even the people working there who were not behind the desk or the bar were friendly and more than happy to help me in any way they could.

I would have stayed longer if the prices hadn't risen so dramatically overnight, but I understand with the higher demand as the month of May was coming to an end. I did not like having to move to another hostel down the street that seemed ok, but after having stayed at Urbany Hostel, nothing else could compare.

Location excellent, near metro and very good looking places walking around. Room was more for friends, as the place's vibes are more for solo/group of friends travelling. Breakfast was also good, very good price and buffet type. Bed was personal, although im not use to those beds when traveling, i felt it comfortable. Nice place to stay, the Argentinian girl from the kitchen (3rd) floor is really kind and friendly, I loved her attitude!

The front/reception staff does not speak spanish and some of them dont speak in english that much, it was a little hard to ask them for help to take a taxi / metro, but overall it was a great experience in Barcelona!

I booked the wrong Urbany as I had to be more central. The guy at the reception tried to have my stay change but as I had a non refundable booking he was not able to succeed. Nevertheless he was very kind and helpful like the rest of the staff. The location is ok and plenty to do around. Otherwise everything was perfect and I highly recommend it.( I do not remember his name, but I want to thank the receptionist - Italian guy if I am not mistaken

One thing I do not not appreciate is the cleaning staff turning up at 8 am. I understand that they have a job to do bit people sleep when on holidays. Not saying they were rude, on the contrary, but it did spoil my vacation twice on a 4 day stay. And if this is the policy of your establishment, it might be time to amend it

We booked a four person private, it was clean and good for the price

The shower door was broken so water leaked out and the location is very far from many of the attractions, so it was very difficult to explore the city that way, be warned. It is 20 minute walk from the Sagrada Familia, but other than that far from everything.

Genuinely one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in, and if anything, better than some budget chain hotels I've been to. The staff are extremely helpful, speak multiple languages, and can sort any issues or queries you might have including directions, booking taxis or talking on your behalf if you are unfamiliar with the language. Take a few minutes when you're in the lifts to look at all the facilities available - the luggage storage is all automatic, very fairly priced and very secure. The bar/terrace and rooftop are lovely, give you incredible views and are worth a visit. I stayed in a shared, all-female dorm room, and it was extremely clean, and spacious for what you pay for! Each bed has a small private light, which does not disturb others in the room, a single EU wall plug, and a single UK wall plug (so bring extension leads should you want to charge more than one device). The bed itself is very comfortable, and you get 1 pillow, 1 duvet and linens for free. Each person has a huge card-operated locker, which is secure and can comfortably fit lots of luggage! The room has the best blackout curtains I have ever seen, which means no outside disturbances and the window is sound-proofed so the rooms looking out onto the main road are very very quiet. There are coat hooks in the room too. Each shared room (I was in a room of 4 females), has an ensuite bathroom, which itself too is very spacious. There is a large shower, toilet, sink, hair straighteners and hair dryer provided, as well as a large mirror and small magnifying wall mirror too. There are coat hooks on the back of the door. Towels are not free, but only cost a few euros for your entire stay, but you can also bring your own. I read many reviews before I left about the shower - yes, it is on a 'timer' but literally not an issue. Great water pressure and instant hot water - temperature adjustable.

I literally have nothing to put here. Before I booked, I read that many people didn't like that the showers were on a 'timer'. You only have to press it once every 30 seconds or when you turn around or when you reach for the shampoo. Unless you plan to spend 5 hours in the shower, it is not an issue at all.

Each day you have a different free night club for this hostel guests. Easy to spot when you are going home (between the identical streets of Barcelona). Near the metro station. Near the Sagrada Família. Lots of cheap restaurants nearby. Excellent to meet new people from other european countries.

The room was a bit small, but we were already expecting that. The shower was not the best, it did not have an hose.

The hostel is located near (10 min) the main attraction of the city - Basilica de la Sagrada Familia. The room is for 4, there were just four of us. Small, but modern with a cool view of the city. On the top floor there is an observation deck with a bar.

Towels for an extra fee or bring your own.

Everything was as we expected. I especially liked the breakfast (8 euros) which was very plentiful and delicious, also the staff of hostel is really kind, special thanks to Nacho who helped us with his tips and advices, the view from the hostel Roof top is amazing

The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, the location is great and the staff was very friendly. The lockers didn't need a lock, they could be locked with the pass card and were free which was appreciated.

The other guests screamed in his sleep, so that was scary. I would’ve also wished for some privacy curtains by the bunkers.
