the hotel is stunning, the vibe is great and it's super clean. in an amazing area. The staff where lovely and the Tope and four corners food was great. we hired out a cabana at tope and it was awesome :)

I think the pool sun beds should be able to be used by hotel guests at any time of the day, it shouldn't be that we have to pay to sit on the sun beds if they aren't in use - if we are spending so much to be a guest. but it really is the only negative and wouldn't stop me from booking again. :)

The interiors are gorgeous, with a room that was not only beautiful but also featured the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. The rooftop is a standout, boasting a lovely bar with views of the Sagrada Familia and a nice-looking pool. Downstairs, there's a beautiful bar serving delicious coffee and pastries in the morning, and a pizza restaurant that was absolutely delicious. The room service and cleaning was also very good, making my stay even more enjoyable.

While the hotel has its charms, there are some drawbacks. It's frustrating to pay a premium for a room and then be charged extra for a sunbed or cabana by the pool. Use is free before 10am, but not everyone wants to go swimming that early on holiday. The cost is €40 for a sunbed and €80 for a cabana, which can be redeemed against food and drink, but it wasn't justifiable as my partner doesn't drink alcohol. Paying over £1,500 for a room and not being able to use the pool feels unreasonable. Additionally, the staff at the rooftop bar weren't very attentive. For such a premium room, it's disappointing that the TV doesn't have Netflix, Amazon Prime, or similar services; you can only screen mirror if you have a Samsung phone, which excludes iPhone users.

Hotel decor was fantastic. This extended to the rooms which were beautifully appointed, with extremely comfortable beds! Roof top was lovely - great way to spend the day beside the pool sipping yummy cocktails in the sun!

This hotel is a little bit out of the hustle and bustle of Barcelona - but nothing a quick taxi/bus/metro ride didn't fix!

Great atmosphere and nice design of the hotel. The staff is very friendly and professional

It doesn’t feel right that you need to pay €40 (minimum spend) as a hotel guest to use a sunbed at your own hotel when you already pay + €250 per night

The rooftop pool area was beautiful!

They majorly need work on the pool situation. Kind of crazy to spend $80 for 4-hours at the pool. The staff at the rooftop pool seemed disorganized, would forget your drinks, etc.

Great option if traveling with a kid! The rooftop pool is very quiet until 11:00 am and there is a really nice playground about a block away across the street. Our family loved starting our day with a swim and play session! The immediate surrounding area feels very safe and is kind of a creative offices modern area with an exceptional cafe (NOMAD Frutas Selectas) a short walk away. The design of the hotel is super chic and the room and bathroom are very spacious. We all slept amazing at this hotel as well - very comfy and quiet room. Would definitely stay here again!

The pool was not heated which was not an issue with the summer heat, but not sure if they heat it during cooler seasons.

Good hotel - staff is less experienced but try really hard to go the extra mile.

We loved using the bikes but when the App left us stranded on the beach our holiday turned into a big stress, I emailed the hotel and as of writing this review 5 days later received no response, also left a message on the hotel Facebook messenger asking for help and 5 days later no reply. What we eventually figured out after a long time on the beach is that the hotel bicycle App does not like an e-sim, the App activated at the hotel on wi-fi but when we locked the bikes on the beach the app via the e-sim data package would not work. Very frustrating and stressful.

Chose The Hoxton for its location in Poblenou for its easy access to metro and bus to the F1 circuit. So glad I did. Poblenou is a completely regenerated industrial area with a wonderful local vibe. Away from mass tourist areas. This is reflected in the design of the hotel. Despite it being busy was never noisy and slept well. Breakfast well worth the money as is the mini bar concept which doesnt rip you off! It just oozes cool ! Roof top terrace views incredible. Paid extra for Biggy with View and although pricey 100% worth it for the vista to La Sagrada Familia. It’s a 20 mins walk away abs the beach a mile away.

Pillows too soft- would be good to change to firmer ones.

Upon entering The Hoxton, Poblenou, one is immediately met with a most resplendent welcome. Anas, a gentleman of exceptional bearing, proficient in many tongues, ever-smiling, helpful, kind-hearted, and above all, profoundly professional. A rare jewel amidst the sands of modern hospitality. His attentive presence at every beck and call, coupled with his poised and courteous manner, instills a sense of comfort and respect, an ode to the noblest traditions of guest service. The hotel itself stands as a charming haven, Away from the cacophonous throngs of Barcelona's bustling masses. The rooms are generously appointed, offering a spacious and comfortable refuge wherein weary travellers may find rest. The rooftop bar TOPE crowns the experience with its vibrant energy; the Thursday evening reverberated with a masterful House music set, a true celebration of sound and rhythm that invites one to commence the night in style. For those inclined to stroll, the Rambla Poblenou offers a scenic promenade leading to the sea within twenty minutes, where the Mediterranean beckons with her azure waves. A particular mention must be made of Sabrina, whose impeccable service redeem the less inspired interactions of her colleagues. Her smile is warm, and her fluency in French, with a delightful Spanish flair, renders her an ambassador of conviviality at both the bar and the breakfast room.

Yet amidst this tapestry of excellence, a few shadows linger. The breakfast, though adequate, falls short of the grandeur befitting a rate of €450 per night. One might expect a broader, more bountiful spread, free from the blemish of overripe fruit, whose fragrance spoke too insistently of fermentation. The service at the ground floor bar left much to be desired. The air of nonchalance from certain servers gave the impression that the mere act of ordering a drink was an imposition upon their leisure. Smiles were scarce, and the hospitality, so evident elsewhere, felt diminished. Nonetheless, it is a testament to the resilience of the establishment that these lapses were somewhat redeemed by Sabrina’s presence and the effulgence of the rooftop ambiance.

Lovely little boutique hotel, with a great little bar. Due to weather conditions (time of year) we didn’t use the rooftop, but it looks like a lovely facility to enjoy some summer drinks. Bikes are available from reception, we used each morning to cycle to local coffee shops each morning. Comfortable and clean room.

Being really picky, I would have appreciated some additional toiletries such as shower cap, dental kit and cotton pads. Only the minimum shower gel/hair care products provided. Didn’t see a hair dryer either. Considering price and like I have experienced in many other similar boutique city hotels, a little welcome note and treat would be appreciated also.
