We had a wonderful experience at Ibis Barcelona Plaza Glories. From the moment we arrived, everything went smoothly. We were pleasantly surprised to be granted an early check-in at 12 PM, which was a great start to our stay. Another big convenience was the late check-out time, also until 12 PM. The room was clean, with daily housekeeping and fresh towels provided every day. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was very welcome during the warm days. The bathroom looked newly renovated and was spotless. Beds were comfortable and we slept very well throughout our stay. Breakfast was simple but satisfying—everything you’d expect from a continental buffet, and the coffee was particularly good. The location is excellent, with a supermarket right next to the hotel, several small local restaurants offering tasty and affordable meals just around the corner, and both the metro and bus stations just a few minutes’ walk away. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona!

It was a really good stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful – when I asked for an extra cover, they brought it quickly, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was super good with a variety of options to choose from, so there’s something for everyone. The room was clean and comfortable. While there were a few small issues like a broken shower gel dispenser, it didn’t impact my overall experience. The location is perfect – about a 20-minute walk to the sea (Playa de Bogatell) and to the center (around 45 minutes on foot to Casa Batllo). It’s also easy to get around by bus or metro if you prefer not to walk a lot. All in all, a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely consider coming back!

We loved the location of this hotel, as we could walk to pretty much everywhere we wanted to visit for our short stay in Barcelona. The front desk staff (especially Chris) were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make our stay easy and enjoyable. Arriving to the hotel early in the morning. we were only expecting to be able to store our luggage until we would get a room later in the day, but due to being an IBIS loyalty member, we were able to get early check-in to our room when we arrived around 9 AM in the morning. There are plenty of restaurants and stores within a short walking distance of the hotel. We really enjoyed the restaurants and locals and the vibe on the "Rambla Del Poblenou" street that was a short walk from the hotel.

The second room I was given (see negative comment below) was very good and convenient. The staff were helpful and effective. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was quite rich and offered a good variety of savory and sweet options. The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the Glories metro station. The overall atmosphere in the hotel was relaxed and cool.

The first room I was given had no desk, which was a problem as I was traveling for work - also it was on the ground floor and the room was rather exposing. Fortunately, the staff was helpful and arranged a room change the next day.

Location, room size. Did not have breakfast included, so can't comment on it. Hotel (& surrounding area) was usually very quiet!

Room was a bit hot and could not turn on A/C, as the reception informed me. On 1st day, the door stayed unlocked so had to wait for a lock change. Had to try the room key many times before it connected and opened the door (before&after the lock change). However, the service for the lock change was super fast and helpful, although most staff did not speak English. Unfortunately, my room could also be a bit more clean (sink area).

I travel to attend a conference in Barcelona at the end of October 2024. The caring staff was wonderful towards all of us, including our dog. There was no hiding extra fee to take our pet with us, what's more, they were super lovely. The parking facilities are great and, as we were almost in Halloween, the deco in the hotel was awesome.

Although the hotel is not central, it's really well connected and it offers calmness to the guest instead of being surrounded by noise and people. It also has a great garden near by and anything you can think of surrounding so... no need to stay in the main streets!

The hotel was clean, and the service was very nice, with staff always ready to assist. The location was excellent, making it easy to explore the city center, with just a 4-minute walk to metro line 4, which takes you to the main shopping street and cathedral area. It was good value for the price, especially considering that Barcelona is a very touristic city where hotel prices are pretty high during peak season. I would consider staying here again.

There was one downside to our stay. We were placed on the first floor, and unfortunately, our window faced a higher ground level. Because of this, we couldn’t open the window, which resulted in the air in the room feeling a bit stale and musty, with a slight smell of mold. While this was a minor inconvenience, it’s something to be aware of if you’re considering staying on the lower floors.

The room and the hotel were clean. The location is ok in a quiet neighborhood with big shopping centre nearby but the closest metro stations are bit further away. The AC didn't work well in the room, it only blowed hot air so I had to keep windows open to get some "fresh air" in the room. Also you can hear the noise from neighboring rooms. Breakfast was good with many options and I appreciate that it's available from very early until noon during the weekend.

The hotel is clean, well-maintained and modern. What we particularly liked was the affordable and very good breakfast. The choices were better than what I would expect from a 2-star hotel and so was the quality and the taste of the breakfast.

As others have pointed out, the rooms are not particularly well isolated. You can hear pretty clearly what's happening outside on the street and in the corridor. But luckily, we stayed from Friday to Saturday, so not much was going on.

Great location, very different to another IBIS Ive been to. This one had personality and was in keeping with the local area rather than being generic. The staff were great

The room was too hot for me. I couldn't turn the heating off (or the air conditioning on) so I had to leave the window open all night. Thankfully, the street outside was quiet for BCN. I do understand that for the locals its winter, but for me its still warm so I would have liked some control over my room temperature.
