The whole stay absolutely exceeded my expectations. The location of the hotel is in a quieter area, less than 5 minutes walk from the L4 metro station and less than 10 minutes walk from the sea. Two streets from the hotel is the smaller La Rambla with lots of restaurants, it's not that crowded, so perfect for someone for whom the most famous La Rambla in the centre is too much. The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, clean, modern, the staff is always friendly and willing to help with anything. Rooms very cosy, spacious, cleaned every day. Nespresso coffee machine and drinking water in glass available directly in the room. The cosmetics from Rituals brand is just a nice addition already. The pool with terrace and bar is on the 4th floor, there was always free space, there are plenty of sunbeds. At the bar you can order alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and food. Free towels are available for rent right at the entrance. Breakfast excellent, varied, huge choice every day, so there really is something for everyone. As a big plus I rate the plant based milk and yoghurt. I definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back sometime.

Breakfasts were outstanding! I enjoyed fresh orange juice, fresh sliced pineapple and piel de sapo melon, cheese selection and finally - bakery products from Madeleine by Ferrieres - all was wonderfully tasty! Rooms - spacy, modern equipment, comfortable beds, bed sheets were silky? Bathroom - towels and bathrobes very soft; shampoo & soap were Rituals brands with very pleasant smell. Staff - professional, friendly, pleasant, helpful. Perfect! The management has to be very happy that they have created and now operate such a hospitality masterpiece. Congratulations to all the hotel team!

That we had to leave home…

We had a great stay at the Paxton Hotel. The receptionist who welcomed us was very friendly and proposed us an upgrade. The room was very clean, modern and the bed very comfortable. It is very easy to regulate the temperature in the room with the help of the thermostat. There is a coffee machine in the room. As we drink tea, we asked the reception and got a kettle for our stay, which we appreciated. We have been many times in Barcelona but never in the area of Poblenou, which we found very nice. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby (next to the hotel or just walking along the nice Rambla del Poblenou). The wonderful beaches (Mar Bella or Bogatell - much nicer than Barceloneta) are just 10-15 min walk. To metro station (Llacuna) is only 350m from the hotel but if you like long walks (like we do) it is possible to reach the center by foot as well. The breakfast was excellent, you can enjoy it while watching what is going on in the surroundings of the hotel. Last but not least: after the check-out, we could leave our luggage in the hotel till the evening, which was of a great help.

The noise insulation was the only minor point which we noted. We could hear some voices from rooms next to ours or from the outside. However after long days of walking in Barcelona, we had deep sleep and this was not an issue.

The staff were really helpful, breakfast was plentiful and reasonable hours of serving (even at the weekend). Outdoor swimming pool area was very nicely looked after. Room was spacious but a bit characterless (not a problem for me), bathroom was very clean and a good standard. The shower gel/shampoo/body lotion all upmarket and nice to use. Great location, near to the beach AND the metro Llacuna and bus services. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel cannot do anything about this, but unfortunately the area around the hotel is noisy at night, which is a great pity. The bar, Sala Boveda is a small concert venue, and is open from 01.00 until 06.00 and if you have a room which faces onto the Carrer de Roc Boronat, prepare to be kept awake or wear good earplugs. I had room 414. This was the only downside to an otherwise lovely stay at the Hotel Paxton.

Paxton is simple, but elegant. I loved the tasteful design, work of light, spacious rooms and halls. The room was comfortable, quiet, well equipped, though minimalistic with a good touch of taste. I also loved the atmosphere itself - very welcoming and classy, at the same time, thanks to staff, easy and friendly.

The location is not for tourists who appreciate walking around the cities they visit, you’d have to use taxis/public transport a lot. The breakfast menu is very wide: you have whatever you want and you can also ask the chef to add some extras if you need them. The quality though, in my humble opinion, should be lifted up a little, as, for instance, eggshell in your egg is smth you don’t want to taste in your breakfast. Overall, breakfast and dishes we’ve tasted for late lunch, were good.

A beautifully designed hotel in a perfect location — close to everything! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel offers convenient parking. With the Hop-On Hop-Off bus stop nearby and plenty of great restaurants within walking distance, it’s an ideal base for exploring the city. Highly recommended!

The bed wasn’t quite to our comfort level, but that may be due to being a bit spoiled by previous stays elsewhere. Also, the breakfast at €25 felt a bit pricey, especially considering the many nearby restaurants where you can enjoy a great meal for less.

Loved everything- location, friendly staff, interior , great room

The only thing we didn’t really like was the breakfast. Booking says it’s‘fabulous’ one but I’d said it’s good at best. All the dishes that were supposed to be hot (like scramble eggs or bacon ) were cold !!! All 4 days, and we came either in the beginning or in the middle of the breakfast hours. Cheese and cucumbers were dried out so it was weird to eat. The pastry and coffee was ok but I buy the hotel breakfasts to have a good hot breakfast ! I can buy coffee and croissant in the local bakeries for 5€ instead of paying 20€ for them in the hotel!!! I feel scammed with this breakfast situation.

Modern and new hotel. We booked a joint room and it was great. Location is perfect. Few minutes walk from the train station. The train goes to major tourist spots in a few stops. Extremely convenient. Rituals products in hotel. I love rituals. There is nothing to complain about. We love our stay here in Paxton.

Breakfast is almost same everyday. So if you stay for longer period. It might boring but you can always eat out. There is a great bakery around. The window is not very sound proof. But if you stay off the street, I think not would be a problem.

This is a modern property with modular design, not a brick & mortar structure. But no compromises on comfort.Location is decent. Breakfast is nice and elaborate.

The bathroom was open with no privacy ( not even a privacy curtain), a design which is insensitive to people from diverse cultures. In fact it made no sense to save on a door with water splashing on to the floor at the entrance. The 2 of us, me and my son, had to step out of the room by turns if one of us had to take a shower!

Easy check-in process, I’d done it online prior to arrivals so we could get straight in. Spacious room, clean, modern bathroom. Partition screen between bed and living area/baby's cot, Nespresso machine in room. I wanted a kettle and room temperature lowering, I called reception and they sorted straight away. All staff very friendly. The Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice to suit tastes and different nationalities. We had a cocktail and mocktail from the bar, both very good! It was a lot nicer hotel than I’d realised when I booked. Check out time (12:00) is great & they looked after bags for rest of the afternoon. Easy walking distance to metro service (Lacuna) to get around the city. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, market stalls and beach. Good value for money.
