Really cool place to meet new people. The staff is very social and helpful. They are really great at organizing social events so perfect if you want to do things even as a solo traveler. They do Pub Crawls everynights in collab with Animal Party, so also great place to start if you like partying. The organizers are really cool and know how to set the vibe. Would totally recommand, I’ll probably go back ! PS: Shoutout to Angelica who was the guide my first night, got to meet cool people right from the beginning thanks to her !

The hostel could have used a few more / bigger toilets (at least in the man area). Also just take an eye mask cause there can be come lights in the rooms.

We really liked the location, great distance from restaurants, some attractions, shops. They had wonderful activities on for us every night; free dinner, organised pub crawl/clubbing. The room was pleasant, we had an all girls room and had no problems with anyone/anything. Very safe and a good atmosphere.

Maybe the only strange thing we’ve seen was an older, local lady who seemed to have no connection with anyone staying at the hostel, let in on the grounds on some occasions. We’ve heard some things about her but personally had no bad experiences. However if someone has no connection to guests maybe they shouldn’t be allowed to go near rooms and toilets/showers. This didn’t let our overall experience down though and thought the place had great atmosphere and overall felt very safe!

This was one of the best experience in hostel I can't recommend it more. It was really clean, the location is perfect with metro stop only a few minutes away, and also all the main attractions are in the walking distance. The staff was so nice and helpful, especially the volunteers Juan, Amelie, Alejandro, Abby and Augustin with all the activities they organized, dinner they cooked and they were just so friendly to all the guests. Hostel is perfect for solo travelers, with a lot of free activities you can also get a free dinner every night, and the whole hostel just have a pleasant atmosphere where you can easily meet people. They also organize pub crawl every day with amazing guides my favorite Ellen, Amalie and Danny!

The cabinets that you put your staff in can get a bit loud, and distracting other visitors, and also for tall people (me 194cm) bed can be a little bit short.

Curtains in bed are very nice for privacy They had activities every day (dinner, tours, gatherings with dj, pub crawls, dancing classes on Thursdays), if you are a solo traveller, it is a very nice hostel to stay in because you will get to meet other people if you participate in the activities Staff is very nice, you can leave your luggage before checkin/after checkout Bathrooms were always clean and equipped (bring your own towels and toiletries) Common areas for meeting people/chilling The kitchen is very modern and you can cook there The rooms have big lockers (bring your own padlock)

They didn’t have rooms for girls only Common areas were closed after 11pm, so there is no place to hang out after that hour

The staff was very friendly, the location was superb , all the major spots were nearby, I explore all the major tourist attraction by walking due to the amazing location. The hostel was quite clean and there were enough showers and toilets to not cause any delay in getting ready every morning plus hygiene was quite well maintained. Special mention to Borja who was extremely helpful . Thanks for the amazing experience. I’ll definitely stay here again if I return to Barcelona in future .

It was a 14-bed dormitory room and there was a man in that room who was snoring so loudly that I couldn’t sleep the entire night . It happened for 2 co decline nights and when I raised it to the hostel staff, they were very co/ operative and they said they ‘ll change my room if that person still staying in that room but fortunately left the next morning . But I guess , I should raised it earlier on my first night itself but tbh , no discredits to the hostel or the staff as they were very nice and helpful and trying to sort the problem For me .

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in, bar none. From the first night of my stay, I was graciously welcomed to an atmosphere of excitement and hospitality. This hostel's greatest asset is undoubtedly its vibrant social scene. The Black Swan strikes a perfect balance between safety and excitement, creating an environment where guests can truly let loose and enjoy themselves without worry. The common areas are always busy with the energy of fellow travelers. I cannot say enough good things about the people running this place. Darius, Chiara, Lolo, Esmail, and Danny went above and beyond to make the stay unforgettable. Their genuine friendliness, insider tips on Barcelona's hidden gems, and quickness to respond to guests' needs elevated my stay from great to extraordinary. I booked for four nights, and only wish that I had stayed a bit longer. The Black Swan Hostel became a cornerstone of my Barcelona experience. Whether you're lounging with a friend, enjoying a free dinner among other guests, or joining one of their city tours, there's never a dull moment. I cannot wait to return!

It is conveniently located around 8-10 mins on foot from Plaça de Catalunya Airport Bus Stop once you get off and has a reception desk 24×7. The check-in was seemless around 2-2.30 am at night. It also happens to have a great connectivity to public railways hardly 5 mins away. Notably the Arc de Triomphe place and the Parc de la Ciutadella can easily be reached on foot from here. I feel the place is a lovely stay for solo commuters and they have social gathering events in the evening for folks. The free evening vodka shots was lovely touch with fellow solo hostelers!

The staff were so accommodating from the first day to the last. Nara was a ray of sunshine who ensured that every time we went out we had an safe but fun time. Danny, Ishmael and Sophie were also so attentive when it came to the nights out. Victor was a welcoming presence and ensured everything was in great condition. Overall, I had a wonderful experience here and will definitely be back again.

As it was a mixed dorm, you would have some guests coming in and making a lot of noise at random hours during the night. While this is of no fault of the accommodation, it did disturb my sleep on multiple nights. Also I would've liked to see toiletries and towels provided but again this did not majorly hinder my experience.

I loved how all my luggage fit in the locker space as I stayed for nine days and had a lot with me. I loved having an outlet in my bed area where I could charge my phone! Big window/door and cute balcony in the room. Loved the full body mirror. Very cozy :) The location of this area is very prime! Barcelona is big but you’re near a lot of great places to visit! I loved the day tours and night tours offered by the hostel, there was always something to do. If it wasn’t the night life, it was a movie night. Free dinners were so yummy. Shout out to one of the chefs, Kayla!!! Big shout out to Danny and Nara for taking care of us during those night crawls and for having such great energy!!! They showed us an amazing time during night life. Made the best of friends and great memories!

The locker under our beds for luggage are squeaky so it can be very loud when someone is trying to sleep. Did my best to not be noisy!

Absolutely the best hostel I stayed so far. First of all it is VERY clean. Not every hotel has such a clean showers as this hostel. Beds are comfortable, towels are clean, kitchen is well maintained and tidy at all times. Second, the feeling of community is amazing. Everyone who works there goes out of their way to help and make everyone comfortable and included. Special note to Augustine, Abdul, Gretta and Yousef. They made me feel at home at all times, answered all the questions I had and helped me whenever needed. There are a lot of places to relax and hang out with others in the hostel as well. The whole place is organized in a way that you can have opportunity to both relax or work alone and socialize with other tenants when you feel like it. Big plus for the curtains on the beds!
