This was one of the best experience in hostel I can't recommend it more. It was really clean, the location is perfect with metro stop only a few minutes away, and also all the main attractions are in the walking distance. The staff was so nice and helpful, especially the volunteers Juan, Amelie, Alejandro, Abby and Augustin with all the activities they organized, dinner they cooked and they were just so friendly to all the guests. Hostel is perfect for solo travelers, with a lot of free activities you can also get a free dinner every night, and the whole hostel just have a pleasant atmosphere where you can easily meet people. They also organize pub crawl every day with amazing guides my favorite Ellen, Amalie and Danny!

The cabinets that you put your staff in can get a bit loud, and distracting other visitors, and also for tall people (me 194cm) bed can be a little bit short.

Curtains in bed are very nice for privacy They had activities every day (dinner, tours, gatherings with dj, pub crawls, dancing classes on Thursdays), if you are a solo traveller, it is a very nice hostel to stay in because you will get to meet other people if you participate in the activities Staff is very nice, you can leave your luggage before checkin/after checkout Bathrooms were always clean and equipped (bring your own towels and toiletries) Common areas for meeting people/chilling The kitchen is very modern and you can cook there The rooms have big lockers (bring your own padlock)

They didn’t have rooms for girls only Common areas were closed after 11pm, so there is no place to hang out after that hour

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in, bar none. From the first night of my stay, I was graciously welcomed to an atmosphere of excitement and hospitality. This hostel's greatest asset is undoubtedly its vibrant social scene. The Black Swan strikes a perfect balance between safety and excitement, creating an environment where guests can truly let loose and enjoy themselves without worry. The common areas are always busy with the energy of fellow travelers. I cannot say enough good things about the people running this place. Darius, Chiara, Lolo, Esmail, and Danny went above and beyond to make the stay unforgettable. Their genuine friendliness, insider tips on Barcelona's hidden gems, and quickness to respond to guests' needs elevated my stay from great to extraordinary. I booked for four nights, and only wish that I had stayed a bit longer. The Black Swan Hostel became a cornerstone of my Barcelona experience. Whether you're lounging with a friend, enjoying a free dinner among other guests, or joining one of their city tours, there's never a dull moment. I cannot wait to return!

The staff were so accommodating from the first day to the last. Nara was a ray of sunshine who ensured that every time we went out we had an safe but fun time. Danny, Ishmael and Sophie were also so attentive when it came to the nights out. Victor was a welcoming presence and ensured everything was in great condition. Overall, I had a wonderful experience here and will definitely be back again.

As it was a mixed dorm, you would have some guests coming in and making a lot of noise at random hours during the night. While this is of no fault of the accommodation, it did disturb my sleep on multiple nights. Also I would've liked to see toiletries and towels provided but again this did not majorly hinder my experience.

I loved how all my luggage fit in the locker space as I stayed for nine days and had a lot with me. I loved having an outlet in my bed area where I could charge my phone! Big window/door and cute balcony in the room. Loved the full body mirror. Very cozy :) The location of this area is very prime! Barcelona is big but you’re near a lot of great places to visit! I loved the day tours and night tours offered by the hostel, there was always something to do. If it wasn’t the night life, it was a movie night. Free dinners were so yummy. Shout out to one of the chefs, Kayla!!! Big shout out to Danny and Nara for taking care of us during those night crawls and for having such great energy!!! They showed us an amazing time during night life. Made the best of friends and great memories!

The locker under our beds for luggage are squeaky so it can be very loud when someone is trying to sleep. Did my best to not be noisy!

It's a great hostel if you are looking to meet people or go out. They have pub crawls every night and we went to Shoko, Pacha and other clubs. They also had games in the common room every evening which is a great way to meet new people. Although I don't drink, the party hosts were inclusive and welcoming. The showers were amazing, the water pressure was high and it had a proper shower (main shower head + hand held shower head) unlike other hostels which just have a non adjustable shower head.

The toilets could have been better. The toilet door is too close to the seat which makes it difficult

Amazing experience in the heart of Barcelona! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My stay at Black Swan Hostel was simply incredible! From the moment I arrived, the staff was extremely friendly and always willing to help with great tips about the city. The atmosphere of the hostel is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for meeting other travelers and making the most of Barcelona. The rooms are comfortable and well-organized, with spacious lockers to store belongings securely. The beds have individual curtains for extra privacy, and the mattresses are great for a good night's sleep. The bathrooms were also always clean and well-maintained. The hostel has well-designed common areas, perfect for relaxing or socializing. The modern decor and laid-back vibe make the stay even more enjoyable. The location is excellent! It’s just a short walk from Arc de Triomf and many top attractions, with great public transport connections. There are also plenty of bars, cafés, and shops nearby, making it super convenient to explore the city. If you’re looking for a hostel with great energy, comfort, and a fantastic location, Black Swan is definitely an excellent choice. Can’t wait to come back! 💙✨

I had such a great time here! I will definitely return. People were so welcoming and I felt...integrated, while all were much younger than me :) The location is absolutely great, near Plaça Catalunya (12 min), Arc de Triomf (5 min), Urquinaona metro station (7 min) & others. I was amazed by the staff, very warm and polite and helpful, too. I want to thank this way to Sebastian (for helping with the extra blanket and pillow), to Bruno (for opening the room's door & the towel) and to Borja for helping with my luggage). I also appreciate the curtains of the beds, they assure your intimacy and protection against light. I recommand the place!

The location is quite close to Metro Station Urquinaona 5 min walking , staff is friendly and helpful. Cleaning 🧹 process of wet areas always in progress . After 11 pm most of the common areas are closed and the lights are turned off. Only -2 Floor basement can be used after 11 pm for the common use . Also hair dryers are not in service after 11 pm for avoiding noise.Every evening at 8 pm a free dinner is served by Hostel staff( do not expect a large portion :) İt's is called "friendly dinner " Also they organize Pun Crawl meeting most of the nights at 9:30 pm for 20 € including unlimited vodka drinks .I stayed in a 3 bed room which was quite comfortable and large .

This place is exceptionally nice! The staffs were very welcoming the minute you enter the door. They make you feel at home like you are part of a family or you are with friends! We eat together. They organized activities for everyone, if you want to participate. It is in the center of town and near the metro station. There are many restaurants and supermarket nearby. The place is clean and comfortable!

The bathrooms and showers are located outside of the room. The shower is on a different floor. The cleaning products they use is very strong. However, they are so nice there with a positive attitude you don’t even mind the fact that you have to go to a different floor to take a shower!
