We enjoyed our stay at the Hip Karma Hostel. We booked a private room which surpassed our expectations. It was very clean, and since it is in a different apartment from the dormitory, we didn't even run into the other guests. We especially loved the location of this property, as it is within walking distance of the top attractions in the city center. The staff was very helpful and friendly - we arrived a couple of hours before the check-in time, and the lovely lady at the reception greeted us with a smile and took our bags into storage, free of charge. They also stored our bags for free for a few hours after check-out. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for clean, affordable, and centrally located accommodation in Barcelona!

The building is situated close to public transportation, so there is noise from tramways even late at night. We personally didn't mind this and there were earplugs in the room, but if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet place to stay, you might want to consider other options.

The location was good, and the place was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly.

They literally charged me for the sheets and pillow on top of the fifty euro per night for a bed!!! You don't get told this until after you book it. I have never paid this much for a bed, even in the height of summer, so I think they have really reached the heights of gall. It was only three euros for both sheets and towel but I couldn't believe it. I would've searched more if it hadn't been last minute. Find a cheap room if you can.

I already stayed in this hostel last year, but then in the bunk bed section. I had no problem with that either, but this year I slept in my own room. The hostel is very easy to find, the bus stop and the metro stop are close by. Many attractions can be reached in minutes from here. The staff of the hostel is very friendly and helpful. They speak English, check-in takes place within minutes. The room has air conditioning, a television, a balcony, a bathroom, and a shared kitchen. There is also free Wi-Fi. loud. The hostel and the room are also high quality and clean. I recommend it to everyone, if I travel to Barcelona again, I will stay here again!

Soft minimalist decor. No tiresome "party pub crawl atmosphere" (thank goodness)! Thick, comfortable mattress w/privacy curtain (& overall solid bunkbed structure; not that cheap, squeaky pitiful crap). Decent communal kitchen, luggage storage, good WiFi...and beautiful old-world cage elevator.

Charges for coffee, linen, and non-cash payment. Seriously?! Where's the hostel spirit! They nickle-and-dime guests.

We booked a room for 8 and it was great! the room was very clean and comfortable for the number of people. The kitchen was very useful and had a lot of utensils. We liked that besides the common bathroom there was a private one. The location was amazing!!!!! A lot of restaurants nearby and right outside there was a mini market open 24h.

There is a Metro line underneath the hostel so it sounded pretty loud but we got used to it.

The location of the property was great. Plus the private rooms and bathroom were up to a very high standard as it looks like they were recently renovated. The cleanliness of the place was one if not the best I’ve seen at an accommodation. The cleaning lady was constantly cleaning and to a high standard as there was not a spec of dust anywhere. The location was ideal with so many restaurants and shops and walking distances to most tourist sites and a metro literally on the door stop. For the price this was an amazing choice. Would highly recommend.

The check-in process was a little long. As their system went down, but they didn’t explain this to us until we asked as we had been waiting a while. The staff were friendly and helpful overall.

The room was great, with a large shared kitchen. It was very clean and the facilities were also very good. It’s very close to plaza de catalunya so well connected by public transport and not too noisy at night.

The air conditioning didn’t work and you were not allowed to drink alcohol in the building.

The property was really close to all attractive places and transport links., all the areas were well cleaned and maintained properly by the management.

It is bit hard to find the place as no signs or land marks mentioned for a guest who comes first to spain.

The property of the hostel is so remarkable which I appreciated a lot, the staff aswell they are so friendly and professional. The location is ideal for the prices proposed. I really enjoyed my journey in Kip Harma hostel and recommend it for anyone who wanna vists Barcelona.

What I didn't like is the supplement charges that we need to pay, I know the city taxes are out of the hostel's responsibility but the supplement charges for a pillow is something that I didn't appreciate even if it is just 2 euros.

Clean,fresh, renovated hostel. Good location. Comfortable bed with several curtains.

No privacy in the shower. 3 shower cubicles together with toilet, people can enter while you showering/undressing. Quite small kitchen for the amount of beds in the hostel. Only 2 tables and 8 chairs.
