I received an upgrade to the room with a large and comfortable bed. I enjoyed the sunset on the terrace with a cocktail and some snacks. The staff was friendly, available, and helpful. The breakfast was a buffet with a large variety of options.

The room was next to a concurrent street and I could hear the people talking and walking outside. It seems as if the windows do not block much of the noise.

The hotel was in a perfect location, walking distance to essentially everything in less than 5 to 20 minutes, depending on where you were going. You had access to the metro close by so a car is not needed.

The one downfall that we had about this hotel is that it is a bit loud outside at night and if you room is facing the main road, you hear a lot of the nightlife going on.

Really nice room, my partner and I appreciated our stay at REC Barcelona. Very spacious, and well equipped: from the sound system in the ceiling (being music lovers, we really appreciated that!!), to the connected large screen, the large shower and all the amenities in the room. Also really nice view of the city on the Lounge, where we can take a nice various breakfast with a little glimpse of Arc de Triomf. The hotel also offer some activities during the week, which we didn't participate to any but is a nice way for clients to enjoy their evening. The location of this hotel is really great, we did everything on foot as we like to walk and everything was pretty accessible from there (La Rambla, Boqueria Market, the beach,... parc Guell is about ~40min and a bit less for Sagrada Familia) The hotel offer the possibility to keep your luggage if you arrive earlier or leave before your departure time, it allows you to enjoy the waiting time without any stress. The checkout is at 11am, our plane was at 3:30, we couldn't access the room anymore but we were still allowed to wait in the Lounge if we wanted. Thank you for the nice staff we have met during this stay.!

We found the check in process quite long. If possible find a way to ease this for the next clients.

The staff, the rooms and the facilities were great! Beautiful rooftop. The location is also wonderful in the El Born neighborhood, near the Arc de Triompf and a lot of major subway lines. You can rent a bike and ride to the beach too. The hotel does a few activities which are fun. I would definitely stay again!

My only complaint is the shower (but also on me because I didn't ask the staff) but I could never get the water quite hot enough or comfortable enough.

Very beautiful hotel in a nice neighbourhood. Lovely restaurants in the surroundings. Elsa Y fred is a must-try! You can easily use the subway/metro to get to the citycentre. Breakfast was nice. Swimmingspool is oke but very small and there's not much place for chairs. Unfortunally we didn't have the luck during our 3-day stay to have a pool at the swimmingpool.

The staff at the receptiondesk is not that friendly at all. They don't give you an explanation about the hotel, they don't help you to find restaurants etc in the surroundings, they don't give you good tips. We had to ask for a map, and that's literally all we got. When it was raining outside we had to ask for an umbrella while they were just standing there. So very beautiful hotel, would recommend when visiting Barcelona! But so disappointed in the unfriendly staff of the frontdesk.

Bed was extremely comfortable and very large! Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Very knowledgeable and great tips and advice. The hotel is ideally located for easy access to the Gothic area and Metro/Buses etc approx 100m from the Arc du Triumf.

Unfortunately there is a relatively high proportion of rough sleepers dotted all around Barcelona [in parks, by stations, in some of the harbour areas] and a few of these are in the streets not very far from Hotel Rec area. That said, directly outside the hotel is absolutely fine, and we always felt safe walking to and from the hotel at all times of the day and evening that we ventured out.

Central location, after doing shopping it was very easy to get to the hotel and leave the bags, the staff was very friendly and always wanting to help. But what made my trip great was the surprize I got: I planned this trip with my boyfriend, on my birthday, but we broke up, and I ended going on my trip alone, sad as I was "celebrating" my birthday alone, when I got to my room I found a bottle of champagne, a cake and a Happy Birthday card, it just made my day! So thank you for going above and beyond!!!

The room was spatious enough for our two big backpacks. The bed was comfortable and the sliding mirror was a nice touch. The 7’th floor view was outstanding and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a great luggage storing room with little lockers that were great for the time we had in between check-out and our flight. Our room had 5 comfortable sleeping pillows, towels and a hairdryer as well as shower supplies. The property itself was very close to multiple bus stops and attractions and I would say it felt good to be this well connected to all public transportation

We had no slippers as they didn’t add this little finishing touch in the room. The bathroom door was sliding with some difficulties and I didn’t feel comfortable sliding it as it didn’t have a proper handle.

We loved the location, the cleanliness, the very helpful and attentive staff. The room is an interesting layout and as someone else said there’s not much privacy but if you’re close mates or a couple who doesn’t mind bathroom in the room(!) then it’s perfect. Note the balcony is only enough to pop out and stand on for a bit of air, or to dry your clothes but it’s still nice to have. The pool is a nice touch. Nice vibe up on the rooftop and honestly, wonderful views! Overall we loved it :) don’t listen to the bad reviews.

It’s not loud at all but if you’re a light sleeper and worried about the neighbouring rooms just bring ear plugs and there’ll be literally nothing to complain about.

The hotel went above and beyond e.g we had planned to visit in April 2024 but due to 2 deaths in our family, we moved it to September and they still treated to us to champagne and a cake on arrival. It was very central, we got towels changed, the rooms were lovely, the staff were friendly and rooftop bar and pool was great between sight seeing breaks

We originally booked this as a package via Expedia which was several £100's cheaper than booking the hotel on its own - it is a lot of money for 4 nights! We didn't get new water every day and we feel the room could have benefitted from a fridge to keep water etc cool. Our room said we had a patio but we didn't have one unless this was a sahfer one on our floor. We we're also unaware of the £100 deposit which the hotel held and was part of our spending money. I would suggest the hotel notifying people so they know this is expected as well as the tax which wasn't included in the hotel price
