Loved the area but only after we got to know it. Initially all we saw was graffiti and our hearts sank. But we soon discovered that the area had a great community feel. Children were able to play in a very secure area outside the hotel. 5 mins walk to a huge shopping mall and about 10 mins to the conference centre. Plenty of small bars/restaurants close by within a 2 or 3 minute walk. The metro was 2 mins walk which was so handy. Hairdressers, pastry shops, pharmacy and a shoe shop all right beside the hotel. We went to a bar about 3 mins walk awsy which had outside seating and plenty of TVs to watch the soccer. Food was great and the staff very attentive. Staff in the hotel were absolutely brilliant. So helpful with how to get places. I can't say enough good about them. They have a fridge with beers, soft drinks, water and snacks which was great. We often arrived back after a night out to have a last beer and chat that to whoever was on the desk.

There was a very limited storage area. A very small area to hang clothes and no drawers for other items. Very limited space in the bathroom. But if you could put up with this, it was fine.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is perfect, with easy access to all forms of public transport, making it incredibly convenient to reach the city center quickly. The beach is also nearby, which was a great bonus. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always offering great advice on sightseeing and local attractions, which made our experience even better. The room was spotless and well-maintained, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. After a long day of walking and exploring, having such a cozy bed to rest in was exactly what we needed to recharge for the next day's adventures. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

Friendly and helpful staff. We really appreciated that the room was available earlier than announced. Room was air-conditioned and clean with very comfortable bed. Good location, walkable distance to the beach, close to metro, trams and bus stations (few stops to the city centre).

There was no fridge in the room (but it was possible to use the shared fridge in the lobby). Our room did not have window to the street at all, but only windows to the corridor. Unfortunately, the metro and trams were not working during our stay, but the staff advised us an alternative connection to the centre.

The hotel was perfect for our short trip attending the nearby Primavera Sound festival - just 15 minutes walk down Diagonal to Parc del Forum. It is also very well located for tram and metro links to get around the rest of Barcelona / to and from the airport etc. The area of Diagonal it is on is pretty quiet and always felt safe, even coming home from the festival in the small hours of the morning. The room itself was spotlessly clean on arrival, and bed and pillows were very comfy - we had good nights' sleep each night. Our room's bathroom was compact, but no smaller than that of many hotel rooms, and again it was very clean, with a very good shower. Last but not least, the hotel staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful throughout. We wholeheartedly recommend BESTPRICE Diagonal!

The hotel is very well localized in a friendly neighbourhood. It has a 24h open desk and a pharmacy and grocerie store right next to it, which is something one appreciates when traveling solo. It is 5min walking from the surface metro and 7min from underground metro, with 22euros you get a montly pass for barcelona (1zone) which is more than enough to explore the major attractions. The rooms are exactly like in the pictures, extremely clean. The beds are very comfortable. The staff was extremely kind and helpful - had a last minute issue and they did everything they could to help me out - you end up feeling safe and welcome. For all of this i would say the price is pretty good for barcelona.

I had a great stay at this hotel! The location is excellent, just a few steps from the metro station, making it very easy to reach the city center quickly. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly. A special thanks to Ms. Liliana, who gave us great recommendations for exploring Barcelona.

The only downside was the breakfast—it could be improved. The sandwich we received only had bread and salami, which was a bit disappointing. Also, we had some trouble turning on the air conditioning for heating, as the room was quite cold at first. Overall, a very good experience, and I would recommend this hotel for its convenience and hospitality!

Very good budget hotel. Excellent staff. Clean hotel. Good location a couple of miles from city centre,excellent transport links. Plenty of cafes,bars etc on doorstep. Large shopping centre and beach 10 mins walk. Decent Wi-Fi.Good air conditioning. Get number 7 bus from outside hotel,ten minutes to city centre,just pay contactless at front of bus on entry.

All good for the price. No complaints.

The room was very clean, after we left every day, they did a thorough cleaning. We visited on Valentine’s day and got a card from the staff in our native language, it was a very nice gesture. The breakfast was delicious and enough (it was in the restaurant next to the hotel from 7:30 to 12:00) Public transportation was exceptional: the metro, tram and bus stations were a 2 minute walk away. The neighborhood was safe even at night. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a pleasant stay

The room was quite nice for the value. It was very clean, and staff was really friendly. The location is really nice, as it's right next to a metro stop and is a little out of the way of the massive crowds. It's right on a public courtyard, which is nice and keeps it busy (with low noise levels) at pretty much all hours.

The AC unit had a very loud motor kicking on at random times, which was really annoying. However, I didn't actually let the staff know, so that's probably on me.

Clean room, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Comfortable and very large bed. Hotel is situated very close to the metro and tram stop. Free tea, 1 euro for coffee.

The bed has been too big for this room so it was difficult to maneuver around it. Very small bathroom. Breakfast served next door cafe is very limited choice. You can have sandwich, coffee, juice and apple, that's all. Also service in cafe is not friendly for hotel guests.
