lovely little boutique hotel in Poble Sec, at the foot of mount Montjuic. Location is perfect. You can just cross the street and start walking up the stairs to the beautiful park above. And going to the center is just 15 minutes walking (To Placa Reial) or 8 minutes to the nearest metro (Paralel) from where you can go anywhere basically. The hotel has a pleasant and personal vibe. Excellent fresh & healthy breakfast & bakery inside. Our room (2nd floor overlooking Montjuic/street) was large, comfortable, nicely decorated and quiet. The bed large and comfortable. The 'garden' & swimming pool area are inviting to lounge and very 'Instagrammable'. The pool itself is small. More picturesque than practical so only for some relaxing, not really for swimming but that didn't bother us, as it was obvious from the pictures. The neighbourhood in general is quiet, close to the center and far enough from the mass tourism vibe of La Rambla. Some nice little bars, restaurants and shops nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

food was absolutely delicious, we had vegan buffet full of flavours and very nice options, coffee was also great. the location is very nice, close to the metro station, not in the strict center but easily available and in the neighbourhood there are many interesting places to see and eat in. The room was perfect - it had an amazing view and a staircase / balcony; also very decent size for 2 people, it was very clean, I personally liked a lot the soap / shampoo / shower gel provided. The hotel is small, but very well designed, it has beautiful eating area. Also the hotel provides very nice daily recommendations for area / food / interesting places.

for a week long stay there was maybe no need to change sheets and towels daily, for environmental reasons, although it was nice to have it clean every day. Hair dryer was also producing a lot of heat, it was rather too warm in general - not for a complain, but just to point out. As for the food, there is a restaurant at the hotel which sounds great, but unfortunately it has mainly meat options, almost nothing vegetarian, not too mention vegan.

The decor and vibe of the entire hotel was wonderful. We loved the courtyard in the lobby and the honesty bar was a nice touch. We also very much appreciated the daily recommendations and guide given upon check in. It was super useful for getting a sense of the immediate area.

The hotel style and design was just what we like: modern, stylish, intimate and simple. The staff was helpful and genuinely nice and attentive. There was daily recommendations in the elevator about places to eat or shop. I bought amazing designer sunglasses at Wilde that they had recommended. The location next to a park and Montjuic with the subway in walking distance as well several restaurants close by is very convenient. The breakfast was a buffet or a la carte with healthy choices. I requested omelettes made in front of me. The coffee and special teas was made by the staff at your request. I enjoyed delicious cappuccinos. On the terrasse I relaxed in the afternoon on lounge chairs surrounded by flowers and plants. I was happily surprised about the sauna. A great relaxing stay for a conference and some family time.

The pool is small just big enough to dip but enjoyable to refresh from the heat.

Boutique style, nicely designed surroundings. Room small but it didn’t matter was very comfortable. Staff were excellent and the lady on reception probably gave the best welcome of any stay and we have been a few places. Breakfast was unusual and excellent. Julia recommended a local tapas bar - family run - excellent!

I agree with the majority of reviewers who really liked this hotel. I found it very comfortable with high quality amenities. The coffee and pastries were fabulous. All of the staff -- both at the front desk and the restaurant were patient and kind. I especially want to thank Maria at the front desk for providing wonderful recommendations and good conversation to my wife and me. The hotel is located in the Poble Sec neighborhood. This is not central Barcelona and we appreciated the fact that it wasn't. The neighborhood is far less tourist-focused than lots of Barcelona. We discovered some excellent restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. It is also easy to go to Montjuic to walk around, go to the museums, cable car, etc.

Friendly quirky small hotel. Great room and location. Plenty of tips and options for eating and walking nearby. Pool was little but great. Not heated.

Our stay at hotel Brummell was fantastic. As our first stop in Barcelona the location was great, we felt very safe and it was very quiet at all times. 15 minute walk to La Rambla for reference. The staff are second to none, they all went above and beyond to provide us with information about the area to booking taxis and dinner reservations… they were definitely one of the main reasons we loved our stay. Great facilities, great location, great staff and a very aesthetically pleasing cafe/lobby. We will be back on our next trip to Barcelona.

I loved the welcoming and trendy vibe of this hotel. The staff are incredible and go above and beyond to ensure an amazing experience. The area is one of the best in Barcelona for delicious tapas bars and restaurants with natural wines and innovative cuisine, and it's more of a local neighborhood than a tourist scene. The hotel staff offered great recommendations for exploring the area too so it was easy to dive right in and skip the tourist traps. The rooms are clean, bright, quiet and comfortable. It's a small hotel, so each guest is taken care of personally. The breakfast was a gorgeous feast with excellent coffee drinks. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Barcelona!

If you like cruise ship travel and big bus tours, this probably isn't your vibe ;)
