Hotel was nice, clean and centrally located. Breakfast was really good with lots of options, make sure to check out the cooked breakfast you can order, as we missed this the first morning. staff were helpful and friendly too. Hotel bar was upstairs on the roof terrace, which was nice but be aware the drinks arent cheap here.

The pool was smaller than I imagined and there were no pool towels on 2 of the days we were there, which was annoying. Our in room refreshments wasnt replenished on 2 days either but the staff did send this up when requested. As we were so close to las ramblas, there is a bit of noise at night too but it didnt last too long.

We had a very easy and comfortable stay at Hotel Espana. The staff were fantastic and helpful, the hotel decor was exceptional and the room well decorated and a decent size. Great shower. It was close to La Rambla but down a side road so away from the noise. The rooftop bar is sweet but does not have much of a view. We did not visit the on-site Michelin-starred restaurant but by being so close to the market the options were endless.

Not the hotel but because of the market (I think) there are a lot of homeless people in the area. Having stayed in three hotels in my time in Barcelona I prefer being on the Gothic Quarter side but that is just personal preference. They are also currently doing a lot of construction on La Rambla making it more chaotic than usual.

Hotel Staff went above and beyond as it was my birthday. Lovely bottle of fizz arrived in the room plus a couple of free drinks the first night we arrived. Our deluxe room looked onto main entrance. Got quite noisy after midnight which was a nightmare. Woke up twice around 4am. Windows could be better glazed for soundproofing. Great breakfast! Rooftop bar was only part open so didn't get the full experience but was still nice. Shame they didn't have an internal bar as it can get quite cold up there. Overall, great hotel though and very central.

The location was brilliant. The staff was very welcoming and kind. Felt very safe to walk around until early hours.. We stayed between 22/26 December and on Christmas Day the staff left us a little note and nougat and little bottles of alcohol on the house. Although we don’t drink alcohol we certainly enjoyed the nougat. We have no issues. Our room view was so picturesque!

Only thing.. the room lighting is a little dark but not a huge issue

Loved the location and friendly front desk staff. There were a couple of minor problems, the coffee maker in the room leaked, and one of the faucets wouldn’t stay on. The coffee machine leak was something we didn’t realize until the end of our stay. The bathroom faucet situation was fixed immediately. Disappointed in the selection at breakfast, compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at, but it was adequate. Would definitely stay here again.

We pre-booked our room. The room was clean but somewhat small in size. The rooftop deck was great, and breakfast on site was very good, albeit expensive, $25E. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the main boulevard in Barcelona, close to Metro too. The room was missing extra towels, we had only one, and there was no tissues in the room. We were able to get these.

This was a great hotel to stay in. Just off the busy La Rambla, this hotel is a quiet little oasis. Staff very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and had all that we needed. We didn't try the breakfast as ate out at bakeries most mornings, and didn't check out the roof until the last day, which was lovely, we wished we had looked up there earlier!

Personally I prefer other locations in Barcelona like El Born or Gracia. In saying that it was easy to get to these areas walking or via public transport.

The decor of this hotel is absolutely amazingly beautiful. I just could not help looking at all the wonderful details, the mosaics, the lighting and beautiful wall sculpting. The breakfast was excellent and the location just off the Ramblas could not be bettered.

Our room was a little on the tight side, but we opted for economies so you get what you pay for

The location is perfect ,the swimming pool great especially with the opening hours and the hot scorching weather when we were there and also the housekeepers were amazing with ensure our room was cleaned up properly.Big shout out to the bartenders at the rooftop bar they are magnificent 😍,accommodating and passionate about what they do.

The lift needs to be repaired cause it was a bit slow and you could see a lot of the guests got agitated but was manageable 😃

The hotel is beautiful and the location was perfect! We were able to walk or catch the train to any location we wanted. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They helped with all of our requests and made sure we had everything we needed.

The room is on the smaller side so it felt a little tight. As for the current remodeling, some of the work being done was very loud so it was hard to relax in the room.
