This was our second visit to Hotel Mas del Sol and we’re so glad to make the return! The hotel is such a joy; it’s beautifully styled throughout, it’s relaxing and peaceful; the grounds are full of fragrant planting and the restaurant facilities are perfect. Whether it’s the wonderful buffet breakfast (as well as cooked options) or a romantic dinner for two under the scented Jasmine and festoon lighting, the vibe is just spot on! A special mention to Gerard who was working at the hotel when we went last year and it was great to see him still there - he is such a charming guy and nothing is too much trouble. Plus, the Mojito he makes are superb! The whole team are great and all so keen to make sure everyone is looked after. In all, this has become our favourite destination for a peaceful get away. Whilst the hotels location means local facilities are scant, the fact that you really feel you are miles from anywhere is a bonus for us. We will be back for sure!

One thing… the bed was quite hard… not a massive issue but we’re just used to something a little more giving!

The hotel was gorgeous, great rooms and a beautiful property. We rented bikes from the local shops and they delivered and even came immediately when one got a flat tire. The pool is wonderful at the end of the day. The free coffee is a nice touch in the lobby if you are up early before breakfast.

The breakfast was nice but could have offered fresh fruit. Also, there are only two tables with cushioned chairs, the others are small and uncomfortable. We made a point to be the first to arrive at breakfast to secure the comfortable chairs.

The Hotel is beautiful - expertly styled and looked after with modern furnishings and finishes. A perfect blend of rural charm and contemporary style. The breakfast (included in room rate) was excellent. Great selection of cold meats and cheese, fruit, nuts, yoghurts and pastries. Fresh orange juice was fabulous and nothing is too much trouble. The option of cooked eggs and bacon a bonus. We ate in the small but busy restaurant on two occasions. Both meals were very good and top-notch local wine to go with the meal. The staff are fantastic. Everyone is so helpful and will seemingly go out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one. The swimming pool is clean and the whole pool area is quiet and relaxing. Just the sounds of nearby rural life as the backdrop. Also, the garden bar is a great idea! We had a massage with Jana (?) while we were there. It was great, the hour went too quick for me though - could have stayed there all day!

There is nothing about the Hotel, its facilities or staff that are a negative for me. The only thing I would point out is the location. I'd assume anyone booking at May del Sol will already have realised that it is not in the beating heart of some swanky resort and this is the very reason we chose it. However, I would say a car is highly recommended if you stay for a week. Whilst we love walking there are no amenities in Vall-Llobrega itself and a half hour walk to the nearest store is a bit of a pain. Not a game changer by any means and not the Hotels fault - this is a rural setting and that's what you go here for.

We loved it here! We came from busy Barcelona, so this was a perfect quiet place to end our vacation. Lovely staff, personal approach. The rooms are nice. At the swimming pool they have a fridge where you can get your drinks and you write down what you took. If you want wine or prosecco, you can ask inside. On some days they opened a cocktail bar by the pool which we loved! Breakfast was also really nice.

Be sure to not leave any food in the room as there a lot of ants.

Very beautiful surroundings, with lots of nature and quietness. The room was very good, spacious, great bed and good bathroom. Breakfast outside was really the cherry on top. Friendly personnel.

Finding the place via GPS was somewhat difficult and we had to call the reception to be able to find it. Unfortunately the WIFI network was very poor, we were not able to use it.

We loved everything about this property. The setting is superb, amongst lavender and a nearby vineyard. The pool is a good size and offers an abundance of loungers and umbrellas. The honesty bar is set a short distance from the pool and offers comfortable covered-seating. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee and tea bar, in the reception area. Breakfast selection was vast and delicious. They served the best omelette that we've ever had. We highly recommend having dinner. The people that work here are fabulous. They really make your stay feel exceptional.

It is a beautiful hotel. Very boutique feel. The pool is beautiful, it's very quiet - and the breakfast is fantastic. The staff are lovely and very friendly. You need a car to get to the hotel, BUT its perfect location to reach all of the best beaches and small towns with short drives of anywhere from 10-30 mins. For me and my partner it was perfect.

Cozy and relaxing, we had a wonderful stay. The seclusion is terrific, however You definitely need a car to get there and get around to nearby attractions (downtown Palamos is a very easy 10-minutes drive). The in-house restaurant is absolutely fantastic!

Although we knew in advance it wasn’t, the only suggestion that could make the hotel better would be if the pool was heated.

The property is beautiful with such stunning views it really added to the tranquility and peacefulness of our stay. The staff went above and beyond to help us whenever we needed it with taxis or booking in for dinner, at breakfast they took our orders and the food was excellent. The tapas dinner was so so good, we went twice in the end on our first and last night and it was perfect both times. There was also an issue with a glass pane in one of our rooms and it was no problem for us when we reported it as we just wanted to let them know but the staff upgraded our room anyway and just went above and beyond the entire time of our stay to ensure we were comfortable and had what we needed. we were attending a wedding around 20 minutes from the hotel but also the hotel was a short taxi journey from Palamos so a perfect location for us. Juan was particularly helpful during our stay and made sure the honesty bar was topped up for us so we could have refreshments while around the pool.

The outdoor pool was slightly on the colder side but we still went in and was fine once we got used to it. This was also due to the time of year we visited. Again the location was perfect for us, even better if you have a hire car as parking is available and everything is in reachable distance via car, if not taxi was fine also.

It is a beautiful place to unwind, with very kind staff. The pool area is lovely. Breakfast is lovely. Would recommend for a relaxing stay!
