You have to be totally honest - this is a 2 star hotel and for that reason I have given an excellent rating. The place was cleaned every day. Bed was comfortable, a good shower and excellent air conditioning, also a good TV in the room. There is a large fridge on the 1st floor available to store things if needed (none in room) The receptionists were friendly and polite. For our needs, this hotel was in the perfect location, in the heart of the city.

The room smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke on arrival - a good air freshener sorted it. - see next comment Obviously the hotel is very dated and could do with even just a small amount of modernisation. The curtains in the bedroom no doubt retained the cigarette smell! The door locks are antiquated and not sure how safe they are. Even just a coat of paint would freshen up the yellowing ceiling and walls.

It was excellent, for the low price. Located in the middle of a very pleasant city with lots of attractions And dog friendly. The place is friendly. Sleeping is good, bathroom is good. So CHAPEAU

1 The city is so nice that one unfortunately has a parking problem. It is a lot of searching for a parking space. 2 If you don't know Spanish then communicating is a big problem. Even one speaks little or no English at all, even among young people. And that for a European country is not good.

The staff were awesome, I have been travelling with my cat and they were very kind and accommodating. We really appreciated it! Even with any language barriers, everyone was kind and tried their best. I really appreciate that! Thank you! PS, great location and very clean (it's an older spainsh building and they keep it very clean)

For the price and location, it was perfect. I will definitely be back for more city breaks!

It's a modest hotel, sure, but my room (a small room for a single person) had all I needed, including TV, air conditioning, safe... The bathroom was fine, bigger than I expected. Room was clean and the bed was made every day. The best thing about it is the location, right in the center of Castellón.

Owner was superb, couldnt do enough for us. Whilst basic that was all we expected, but very clean and comfortable and he even drove and picked us up from Villarreal
