Location was perfect. Upgrade was appreciated. Nice walk into town to shops and restaurants. Out the way of the hustle and the rowdy youngsters in the centre. Super clean and the man keeping the paths scrubbed and clean needs a wage increase.

I was in room 252 and the Cockerell next door needed done away with! Two of the staff weren't great. The lady on the front desk was a little argumentative when I said I hadn't had any missed calls "I can prove it to you" she said. I didn't need proof I just didn't have any missed calls. Also breakfast starts at 7am and I arrived at 7.05am it was very difficult to convince him to let me enter.

If you’re looking for a really chilled holiday doing nothing but relaxing this is for you. It’s definitely not a Brits abroad hotel. Beautiful pool area , it’s like a lush oasis. We went for a week in July and it was really hot even the pool was hot !We didn’t struggle to get a lounger. Some people on the reviews moan it’s tired and has no coffee making facilities ,that’s true however most hotels in this area don’t have that so make your peace with it and sit in the lush surroundings having your coffee instead, the breakfast area opens very early and bar area has nice seating to sit in. Yes it was a bit tired in the garden room 218 but the hotels been going a long time. The main thing is it’s clean and spacious and they clean your room every day. Others have commented on mangy cats. There are two that we saw all week who seemed quite sweet actually. They go about their business and are harmless but the grey one is partial to a bit of attention should you like cats otherwise they leave you alone mostly. The park is a must see across the road, get your discount from the hotel reception it opens at 10am it’s really quite beautiful and worth a visit. Breakfast was awesome in choices was fresh and never seemed to be crammed. Lunch and evening restaurant food was amazing. We will definitely go back . Our Spanish wasn’t great but the staff were very patient and helpful. It can be busy at lunch times and you can wait to get attention,

I feel the bar area could do with additional staff as you do wait a bit for lunch service. However the staff are nice and did do well. Do check your bar / restaurant bills and keep receipts as sometimes even though we paid as we went to avoid settling a big bill at the end there were a couple of instances that they put a bill on our room even though we’d paid at bar so luckily we kept receipts. we paid for drinks at bar then went to restaurant with our drinks in hand and found the drinks had got added to the restaurant bill. Easy mistake to make however we then paid restaurant bill after meal but then found it had been charged to our room on leaving .

The location, low rise buildings, beautiful surroundings both day and night. Night lighting in pool and veranda area is stunning. Bar service is good, drinks are reasonably priced. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. Live music on Thursday night Comfortable bed, quiet around the rooms. The staff are all five star - especially Nina on reception

Many of the rooms have been upgraded, the bedroom area where we stayed was good with new chairs. The bathroom is in need of updating - it is the same as when we first stayed 14 years ago and is tired, the shower head had a mind of its own and bathroom got wet a couple of times, the bath enamel is scratched and worn All very clean but shabby, it will not stop us returning

We love it here - this was my third visit. It is always special staying here. My room was gorgeous and nicely private. The pool is fabulous! A great stay. Excellent staff. Some of the staff were exceptional, especially Gloria. Marina was wonderful too, as were Ana, Pedro and Ivan. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you

I arrived by train from Alicante and needed a taxi - the train station was quite a distance from the hotel! When I rang the hotel to ask if they could book a taxi for me to the hotel, the male member of staff said no. This made me feel stressed, as I do not speak much Spanish and was travelling solo. It was not a big thing to ask.

Genuinely don't have a bad word to say about this property. I had travelled with my mother to celebrate both of our birthdays, and ended up extending my stay for an extra night on a whim because I didn't want to leave. The gardens that the property is located in are beyond stunning. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating (we arrived from the airport quite late the first night as the kitchen was closing, and one of the waiters, Noel, was able to get us seated and fed). The food in the restaurant was amazing. Best of all is the value for money - I travel a lot and would consider the experience you get here as being *very* close to 5 star, but without breaking the bank. Will definitely be back!

Entering the hotel immediately separates you from city life. Right at the reception, the pleasant scent, decor and very kind and professional staff will introduce you to a basically tropical environment surrounded by beautiful tropical landscape full of beautiful palm trees and Mediterranean feel is felt on every corner . Beautiful pool with bar and excellent cuisine restaurante. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the beds are comfortable. Our second and definitely not the last visit to this hotel . Love it !

We have a small dog and unfortunately this hotel does not allow pets.

Beautiful pool and gardens in a great location close to the town centre. We really enjoyed the breakfasts, lots of variety and egg dishes cooked freshly as requested. Dinner was very good too with excellent service from all the staff. The rooms were comfortable but could do with an update.

All good. We booked for 2 nights and stayed for 3.

We had a suite this time and it was okay for size and layout but was very tired and needs updating, room 263. We did note others were in that process of upgrade. The facilities are good and staff excellent apart from the odd one, namely a waiter in the restaurant who did everything he could to avoid serving us but apart from that all good, the actual bar tender was excellent and made us feel very welcome.

Breakfast is buffet style and for the 3 days we were there the cold selection was excellent but eggs, bacon etc were cold even when just coming out of the kitchen. Not much choice for me being Coeliac. Very cold in the buffet so make sure you have a jumper.

Bungalow type hotel. One bungalow contains several rooms (the larger the room, the fewer neighbors you will have). The hotel has a swimming pool, sauna (reservation required), SPA (additional cost), bar. Of course, a restaurant and banquet hall(s?). But we used room service for dinner, so I can't comment on the restaurant itself. But what I can say for sure is that their dishes are quite DECENT! Well, something like Michelin level (both in presentation and taste, ... and in price). So we highly recommend having dinner there at least once. The breakfast is very varied, we can also recommend it. The rooms are quite large (we were in a junior suite) and contain a bath (and a separate shower). Excellent working climate control system (quiet, fast). Well, overall, we stayed overnight as we were moving from the south of Spain to the north. But we would have happily stayed a few more days to get to know the city better and to rest in the hotel. So we'll probably come back...

The hotel is lovely - great decor and beautiful gardens. We didn’t use the pool or spa but they looked fantastic. We ate in the restaurant one night and it was very good. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful

The only reason I marked the score down to 8/10 was the bar staff. They were sullen and surly. No smile or welcome and we waited ages to be served. Even when I stood at the bar the bartender totally ignored me and carried on making a cocktail for another guest. No acknowledgment, not even a ‘be with you shortly’ The same staff fell over themselves to serve locals and off duty staff members It was such a shame, but it really took the gloss off of an otherwise lovely couple of days.
