Since I was staying a long time (a month total), the host very kindly put me up in an ADU (private bedroom and bathroom) across the street from the hostel for no extra charge. It was heaven! I still cooked in the hostel kitchen and hung out there, and the facilities are wonderful: always spotlessly clean, homey feeling, designed to encourage socializing and meeting people. And, my personal favorite part: the dog (sometimes multiple dogs) and two cats. I've never gotten to pet and play with animals at a hostel stay before! Life changing! Staff are wonderful and also help make the hostel feel cozy and welcoming. The breakfasts in the mornings are generous, with breads, pastries and cakes, cheese, eggs, fruit... Easy combo lock on the hostel door means you can come and go as you like. Hostel is quite close to the bus and train station, in a neighborhood that is local/residential rather than touristy.

Nothing -- I had a fantastic stay!

The hostel had everything you needed for a short stay. The free breakfast was a lovely touch and the staff are always there to help with any questions. The dining room has a wall full of top tips to explore Girona which was very helpful. I had a road bike and they were able to store it securely. There were also bikepackers doing the same thing.

The only set back is it isn’t located in the main part of Girona. However, it is only a 15-20 minute walk to the old town which was not an issue.

The location of the property is very good in a quiet street about five minutes walk from the train and bus stations in Girona, We used it for an overnight stay, coming on a train from France and then continuing on to the airport the next morning by bus, all very convenient. Everyone in the house was very pleasant welcoming, There was a good breakfast the next morning, round a big table, all guests together. We were able to find a restaurant a few minutes walk from the property in which to eat in the evening.

The cooling system in the bedroom was not very effective and also rather noisy.

Everything from the amount of service provided, the positive moods of every staff member, and a couple of adorable animals was a lovely bonus as well.

I did not like that my Spanish was not adequate enough to interact with every employee, which is not a negative trait of your staff at all. More something I wish I had put more effort into myself.

The staff put a label with guest's name on the bed, and ask the guest to look for it. It causes an agruement between two ladies in my room after midnight, as both claim that they should have the bottom bunk! It finally wakes everyone in the room! It would be better if the staff brings the guest to the room and show clearly which bed belongs to him or her!

This was my second onenight stay within a month. Friendly, cosy home-like hostel, with nice atmosphere. Close to AVE train station. Sweet staff, sweet guests. Female dorm a bit cramped, but OK for short stay. Good kitchen if you need to prepare meal. Didn´t have time for breakfast. Will gladly return.

Room could really benefit by some clothes hooks on the walls, there is nowhere to hang a jacket or anything.

Cozy, homelike, well organised and clean hostel with helpful and super nice hosts and guests which is also important. The breakfast was amazing with homemade cakes, the mattresses are comfortable with warm and huge blankets for the winter. I really appreciate that the female room is not more expensive than the coeducated room. Thanks for having the feeling to be at home a little bit while being on my trip!

Nice cozy hostel in a neighborhood (not downtown). Near the train station, about a 20 minute walk from the old city. Staff was great and helpful.

No real place to hang out when not in my room. There was a picnic table for breakfast and I could sit there. Also some outdoor seating in a garden setting, but unfortunately it rained while I was there so it was not usable

I love this hostel. Great vibes. Great breakfast. Great staff. Comfortable beds, plenty of bathrooms, cleaned frequently and well, well stocked kitchen, cute dogs and cats. Perfect location to walk 15 mins to all the Girona site. Very bike-traveler friendly. Cheap to wash your clothes. Social atmosphere without party vibes- most of the people are in their late 20s to 40s. I kept extending my stay because I liked it so much. Made many friends and felt like a home away from home.

Extremely helpful staff. Friendly and knowledgeable and always glad to help. Useful minimarket 100m away. 7 mins walk to the bus/train station. Air conditioning in the dorms during the heatwave. Clean. Lovely, soppy dogs!

Maybe some more space such as a common area with sofas/armchairs etc. would be good. But then of course the hostel is only so big!
