The view at this place was spectacular! I would say unbeatable. Staff member was super helpful and apartment was clean and well presented. Pool was a bonus and the property is terraced so you can enjoy outdoor dining with a view. Parking just down the road was easy to access.

You need a certain level of fitness to stay here. It is located on a steep hill and is a steep climb up stairs- more stairs and then more stairs. I would do it 1000 times over just for the view! We had a 3 year old and a pram- we had no issues but you do need a pram with strong tyres because all of the streets are cobblestone and you need to move quickly to avoid oncoming traffic.

I stayed for 5 nights in one of the cave apartments ( The Secret Cave) It is one of the most unusual places I have ever stayed. The cave is well equipped with everything you need. A good kitchen and comfortable beds. The communal patio on the first level is gorgeous and the pool patio is lovely. I loved dipping in the pool in the afternoon. I came for the views of the Alhambra but found so much more! Thankyou Martha for such a lovely welcome. Buses run frequently dropping you close to the few steps up to the complex. A short walk downhill gets you to shops and bars, and if you walk the other way, into rural Sacromonte. A magical place!

There is nothing I did not like but you must realise it is a cave, so very dark at night and slightly musty, but absolutely worth a visit!

This place is superb for the location. You couldn't really ask for a better view of the Alhambra. İt's very high up from both the street and further steps to navigate so something to be aware of. I became ill on the fourth day of the stay, my daughters had already left and I was on my own. The manageress was brilliant and even went out of her way to get me food and medicine. That is worth a lot.

There was no chest of drawers or dressing table. We had to try to rig up something ourselves. Also no vanity unit or proper way to do make up in the bathroom. The lighting in there also poor. The facilities are basic. Also there was no control for the Aircon in the bedroom and I could have done with that on the last day.

I enjoyed my stay. The view of the Alhambra from the glass balcony door of the living room was amazing. I could stare at it for eons. The location was on a quiet cobble-stone street with no vehicles, and was in between Sacromonte and Albaicin. The apartment had everything needed- complete kitchen with toaster, microwave, two burner electric stove and kettle. The lounge room was comfy with full lounge (sofa bed) and a large screen TV with Netflix. Beds were comfy with quality sheets and towels. Swimming pool was great for a cooling dip in the afternoon after a morning out. The manageress was friendly, considerate and very helpful.

Block out curtains in the bedroom would be great to help sleeping and so that people sitting at the tables outside could not see in at night. I put the bamboo blinds on the bedroom windows down. They remained down for my stay as they could only be accessed from outside- this made the room dark in the day. I found the noise from the tables directly outside the room noisy - there was a family of four (other guests in two rooms) who used to sit at the tables and talk and play games. This started about 8am and continued at various times throughout the day up to about 10:30pm. I suggest asking for a room on the upper (of the two) levels to avoid the above.

The Apartmentos Montes Claros is a complete gem, nestled within the Albaicin area but very close to Sacromonte, it is the perfect location to explore the old city. The view across to the Alhambra palace is incredible, much more imposing and closer than in the pictures. The Apartments were welcoming and lovely from the very start, with all the necessities needed coffee, butter milk etc. until the first walk to the nearby Elemen supermarket. The pool was so nice, to be able to cool off during the afternoon siesta was again fantastic. A really beautiful setting and already planning our next visit.

The view from our room was incredible. The different levels of each section was great and still had an amazing view! The location of the apartment was also in a great area and provided us a very authentic experience. The communal square within the property had a similar resemblance to a smaller version of the communal square in Mamma Mia.

I liked it all. The photos don't do the place justice. Our room was better in person than in the photos. So that was an added bonus. I would say that the size of the property is ideal for couples and couples with children. It's suitable for 2 couples on holiday together, but it might be a bit snug. But it still works.

This was our second time staying at Apartamentos Montesclaros! We love the location first of all, away from the noise of the city and the tourists, with incredible views of the Alhambra, probably one of the best views in the whole city. The temperature was very hot whilst we stayed (40c!), so the pool was perfect for a dip! We used it every morning and again in the afternoon/early evening. Some reviewers have said the pool was green, this is incorrect. The pool is filtered automatically on a regular basis, and aside from the occasional fly falling in, it was pristine. It’s chlorinated too, it isn’t salt water as other people have claimed! We were usually the only people using the pool and the communal space. We were staying for 5 nights and most other guests appeared to just stay for a night or two, so it was generally a very peaceful stay. The property itself could use a little love. The apartment was clean but not impeccably clean, but we were fine with that. The furniture is rustic but getting a little tired and could do with a refresh! The beds are very comfortable however, we slept well every night! To be able to wake up and have breakfast with that stunning Alhambra view was amazing. We can’t wait to visit again.

The decor and furniture could use a little bit of a refresh but I’d still love to stay here again!

We loved staying in the cave house. In addition, the staff were friendly, it was an interesting location, had fabulous views of the Alhambra and it was nice to have access to a shared pool.

Granada is a very hilly area and so we took transportation on local buses and taxis to get around for some of the time, although alot of places were accessible by walking too. It was fine for my family and me but maybe difficult for elderly visitors or anyone with disabilities.
