Everything was perfect. After a 8 hour drive from st malo with a dog and 2 cats we were delighted when the sat nav said take the exit off the motorway and turn left into the car park !! How amazing and we were met with a roaring fire in reception and a very happy receptionist that gave us the best room that had a balcony with a view of the garden. We didn’t use it as we had our cats but a beautiful clean room. The bathroom was huge with Clarins toiletries. We walked our dog a 2 minute walk across the road to a McDonalds as we were so hungry and there was a petrol station and car wash next door. . Can’t fault this hotel wow would stay here again it was so good !! Thank you

The welcoming atmosphere and the facilities made our stay perfect. The hotel is close to the motorway, which is great if you are moving around the area with your car, it takes 15 to 20 minutes to get to San Sebastian. It was really quiet, so we could rest and disconnect. Location is pet friendly and at a walking distance to Alcampo/shopping area. Lunch was amazing, the portions are rathar generous and the staff very nice. We enjoyed chatting with the owner of the place, he is very approachable and friendly. We traveled with an electric vehicle, but this wasn't an issue as they have chargers available. Everything was great, so we are looking forward to come back for another vacation.

The breakfast is varied, ample and healthy!Something for all tastes. The hotel is located in an oasis just off the autoroute, next to a big shopping center, and a short drive from the coast. The attention to details at all levels is notable, rooms, beds, linens, in-room care products, space, friendliness of all staff. 5-star stay in a 3-star hotel. And super animal friendly! Spacious parking and large garden area around the hotel. Third time staying here. Next time in warmer weather so I can enjoy the surroundings more!

This is my second stay at hotel Atalaia and will be my regular overnight stay when driving from UK to Portugal. It is situated very close to motorway but rooms are peaceful and very comfortable. Showers are fabulous and they even supply Clarins toiletries! Staff are lovely and it is always a great stay! Just wished they had a little bar/cafe/restaurant which would be the cherry on top!

The only thing I would prefer is to eat an evening meal at the hotel rather than go to the nearby shopping mall/centro commercial.

had a wonderful stay at Hotel Atalaia on the hottest day of the summer. The staff was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful with both us and our dog. They managed to get us the last available table at their restaurant, which turned out to be amazing—the food was delicious, and the chef is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. A truly warm and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Excellent location for a stopover enroute between France and Spain. Room was of a good size, bed was extremely comfortable, bathroom was enormous! Cleanliness was exceptional. Unusually for a hotel in Spain (in our experience), there were coffee making facilities in the room in the shape of a Nespresso (or similar) machine, but there were no instructions and only two capsules were provided (although doubtless we could have obtained more from the reception). We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on type/quality.

We knew at the time we booked that there would be no evening meals available which was a little disappointing, given that there wasn't really anywhere nearby to eat (as far as I'm aware). As it was a one night stay it didn't really matter. Also, we stayed at another nearby hotel on our return trip which, although wasn't as comfortable as this one, was better value for money.

This was a really nice hotel to stay in. The room was very clean, and an excellent size, as was the en suite bathroom, the shower was very nice, and spacious. The room had a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, and air conditioning. The grounds are lovely and there is ample car parking around the hotel. The bed was to die for, lovely linen and very very comfortable. This was by far the best hotel we stayed in out of the 6 we booked on our trip. I would highly recommend it.

It’s a beautiful property. Very clean. Lovely welcome from Christiana (?) the daughter of the owner. A family run hotel. We couldn’t fault it.

No where with good food in the evenings, we suspect the lunches here are great! It is just off the main AP8 road BUT so brilliant if passing on into Spain or France and you don’t hear the road. So nothing that we didn’t like really.

This hotel is very well managed. From the parking area to the room everything is so easy. The place looks brand new. Everything is super clean. Receptionists are very friendly and pleasant. The room was large, AC worked well, view on the garden is nice and insulation is great. The breakfast is not a buffet; the staff takes your order and serves you with a large smile. The variety is great. The restaurant is not open at night; but there is a large shopping center at a walking distance with good restaurants and a gas station. Everything to make an extremely pleasant stop on our way back to Portugal.

What an absolutely fabulous find. An extraordinary small hotel in an oasis of green in the midst of a commercial and right next to the motorway. None of which you notice when you’re in the hotel. Welcoming, generous-spirited and very lovely staff. Lovely restaurant, only open at lunchtime but they still fed us after we arrived just after 4.00 pm. Breakfast was fabulous, even for me (gluten intolerant). And we had a dog. They all loved her and she came with us into the restaurant as well as to the room, which was unusual but much appreciated. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. We had an electric car too. Not a problem but they really went the extra mile as the torrential rain had knocked out the 2 chargers outside. They let us put our car in their own garage where their son has a charger! They pay attention to the details. And they speak English. And French. A truly wonderful experience to be repeated! Thank you.
