I can’t say enough about our (my 4 friends and I) stay in this voluptuously gorgeous palace. There are only seven rooms available, all built in the early nineteen hundreds section of the guest house. Of course, being a guest house built as an addition to a palace, owned for many many generations of the aristocracy (please forgive me if I have named this wrong, should I say royalty, nobility?) the rooms in this ‘guest house addition’ are absolutely sumptuous and elegant. My room had the most incredible headboard and the paintings and antique furniture in the rooms are exquisite. The added touches are elegant and beautiful, right down to the silver brush and hand mirror set on my beautiful dressing table. The bathroom was huge, elegant and classy with good hot water and plush towels that were replaced daily. As other reviews have noted, there is fresh water and snacks provided daily as well as a great little coffee machine, and the air conditioning definitely worked well! The palace itself is beautiful and fascinating. Take the tour, it will provide the history and knowledge of this historic and lovely palace. There is also a garden surrounded by fruit trees and many different species of flowers , which protected the pool area from too much direct sun, giving it a tranquil air and although the grounds around the pool are also exposed to the sun, there is also plenty of shade if you need it). We felt as though we were staying in a grand villa! Our hosts, two of the brothers of the count (I believe, I may have gotten that wrong) were warm, charming and welcoming, as well as discreet with their guests, considering that we were staying in their home. All in all, this is a fantastic place to stay and I would return to in a heartbeat. It was affordable and comfortable and I feel quite grateful to the family for having shared part of their beautiful home with us.
There was nothing that I did not like.

Staying at this palace is such a unique and wonderful experience. The count and his brother are excellent hosts and go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. The original decor, gardens, and tour of the house really immerse you in the history and the unrivalled location makes exploring Jerez so simple. The hosts also provide recommendations for sites, food, wine tasting, and other experiences. This means you can seek out authentic Jerez.
The only fault with our stay was that the pool had to be deep cleaned and so was inaccessible for 2 days. However, we understand that this was no one's fault and the hosts apologised profusely and even gave us compensatory sherry!

The tour of the Palacio, free to guests, is an absolute essential. The accommodation consists of rooms in one part of the building. While clean and comfortable, the bed especially so, the furnishings are old. This is not a hotel per se and if you are not interested in the fascinating history of the Palacio you may well be happier in more conventional accommodation. We loved it! Our thanks to Alvaro and Asis for allowing us into their beautiful home.
Some people may find the stairs to the rooms a problem if mobility is an issue. Our host was very happy to help with our luggage.

Superb location in the historic centre of Jerez. Incredible period atmosphere, living history. Very comfortable room. It is not a hotel thankfully no tv. Great restaurants and cafes 50-100 meters away. Coffee machine and snacks in the room. Host was most helpful and only a call away. Unfortunately could not stay for the tour of the palace and its treasures.
Upkeep of such a period gem must be immensely costly and it shows. Beautiful garden but furniture and cushios needed upgrade. Pool more of a pond. Needed floculant and hoovering to waste with added algaecide.

What a privilege to stay in such an amazing building. Rooms are very traditional as expected but we loved it. Everything was clean and we had coffee and biscuits/cakes in the room and even a box of chocolates on arrival. We also attended the tour which was fascinating and we would highly recommend. Location is great too, right in the heart of Jerez and very near to some wonderful restaurants.
The outside by the pool area probably needs some attention as it was a bit hazardous in places but this is to be expected with such an old property and didn’t put us off.

The Palacio de Virrey Laserna is a historic palace and family home in the centre of Jerez. Staying there is an opportunity to experience it's special historic qualities. It is not a hotel but rather a unique home stay. The peaceful garden to the rear is open for guests to use and provides a charming oasis in the city centre. Guests are provided with coffee making facilities, chocolates and biscuits etc. It represents excellent value.
It was not a case of disliking anything. It is a little old fashioned but that is part of the reason to stay.

It's a real palace and if you treat it this way - it's great. We also visited the whole palace with a discount ticket - and we learned about the place and family history ❤️. The owners are nice and attentive. In fact it's a family home of Duke and his family that you are invited to... We got small things to eat and a coffee. That was great. ☕🍫 The room makes good impression - as the traditional one, rich and historical. The garden is beautiful and the location is perfect. There is a parking close to it and some great restaurants.
Just remember that this is a historical building with no elevator,so.... be aware. But.. if you are lucky the real duke will help you with your luggage 😉 Thank you!

The historical building was amazing and the location was perfect.
There is no one staffing it in the evening or early morning. We were given a number to call the owner if we had a problem but didn’t feel that we should for the somewhat minor problems we had…one room’s heat didn’t work well and she found a leak on the floor after a heavy rain. The beds were comfortable but a banging in the building somewhere woke us up and kept us up from the wee hours of the morning. Having said this, we loved our stay there as it is u inquest, so historical and beautiful.

After a 3hr flight and 1hr train delay. This was perfect spot to recover, great communication and understanding when I arrived later than planned. I have stayed before and forgot how lovely the place is, a wee smile when I found the complimentary box of chocolates! I always worry about noise when in hotels but i never heard a sound. Great place to stay
nada todo perfecto Nothing it was all great, just a shame it was a short visit this time

This palazzo is amazing, everything promised and more. The interior , the garden, the pool, everything is perfect ! You are surrounded by history. Even if it is a little "dusty". it fits to the hole atmosphere. Absolutly take the tour to visit the hole palazzo, it's worth it! The host is very fiendly and helpfull, we had a pleasent welcoming with cold water and tasty chocolate! And also, very important, it is perfect located on a quiet street (the balcony faces the garden , perfect in the morning, waking up with birds singing) but near some of the best restaurants in town (wich, by the way, is also beautifull)
