it wasn't until after we'd checked in and left our bags in our rooms that we realised just how close we were to Plaza del Arenal, the cathedral and the alcázar. The location couldn't be better. And the man who checked us in was extremely helpful and kind, as was the woman who said we could leave our bags for a few hours the next day. Despite its name, the hotel is very old, or at least it looks like a very old house, with shuttered doors and windows, and tiles ------ I absolutely adored everything about this hotel, including the bathroom toiletries

I can't think of a single thing that could have been better

Well, the Managers both spoke English I. Have a fair knowledge of basic Spanish. This does not usually matter, however a medical problem involving a family member was received at 0500hrs. Both the managers were able to understand my dilemma, and fully supported me. They did not hold me to my booking but helped me locate Travel Agents in Jerez. In short I was able to leave the next day via Jerez and Barna back to Australia. It took me about 50 hours including breaks to get home. I went home 10days early, Pero what can you do,? My family responsibility remains paramount in my life.

Look I was very happy there. I stayed the second night in Spain there, and then left for San Lucar de Barrameda. I made arrangements to stay another spell ( 6dias) at Nuevo in between. I would definitely stay there again. I only just scratched the surface of Jerez. It is the main tourist hub in my opinion. It deserves another visit.

What the Nuevo Hotel lacks in elegance and opulence, it makes up for with character and charm. For accessing many of Jerez’s restaurants and bars, it quite simply couldn’t be better located. Those who need pampering should look elsewhere, but those who want to immerse themselves in the authenticity of this beautiful city should take advantage of this hotel’s exceptional value.

One minor complaint is that, even by European standards, the shower situation in the room I occupied left much to be desired. The showerhead had very little pressure and the water temperature fluctuated according to its own whims.

Very good location in the old town, but in the quiet area. Beautiful building. Everything clean, comfortable beds, really hot shower, TV, AC...

The huge beautiful window is covered with the blinds from outside and you can't lift it up, so almost no daylight, for me it's a big downside. Also the door of the room is very thin, it's almost like there's none, but I saw that doors of some other rooms are already new, so probably it's going to be fixed soon

Its elegant decor and fantastic location

The staff seemed preoccupied, even anxious. Or maybe my Spanish wasn’t good enough. Rather, I could say they were traditional, old-school, and serious; and while they were always helpful and professional, I found them a little unapproachable and dour.

Only a short distance from Plaza Arenal, a traditional hotel with rooms arranged a patio like inner courtyard. Great value for money, quiet at night. Friendly staff. If you travel by car: make sure you load the APK2 app, then use Parking Plaza Arenal. No need to reserve a spot and do not worry about your foreign number plate. Just pay your ticket by app before you leave, by scanning it with your phone.

Quiet street, but very close to everything in Jerez. Friendly reception, comfortable bed and nice hot shower in the en suite bathroom. Plenty of visit suggestions by reception (I visited th Alcazar, Bodegas Fundador & the Zoobotanico in a day). Jerez also possesses the prettiest train station I've travelled from/to

Possibly the addition of a hot drink facility in the room - but Spanish coffee is great with a tostada in a local café

Lovely traditional, elegant and distinctive hotel in the centre of Jerez. A great change from the usual chain-hotel. A step back in time to the age of personal service.

Not much.

Comfortable beds. Very clean. Beautiful building, a step back in time with the marble staircase, architecture etc. Friendly and attentive staff. Very central for all the restaurants and shops around. Don't miss the cathedral visit.

Over bath shower was difficult to secure in place. A bit inconvenient but definitely not a deal breaker. Would definitely recommend and I would stay there again when in the area.

It was a traditional Spanish hotel, didn't look much from outside but inside was beautiful with some lovely features. It was very central and within walking distance to lots of bars, restaurants, and shop's. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely return, Jerez is a lovely city.
