The location was perfect, very central and only a short walk from the Cathedral and all the shops. It felt like a home - the kitchen was really well equipped and there was a comfortable lounge area. I stayed in the dorm where there were about 5 single beds (no bunks). I was on the Camino and although it’s more expensive than your average pilgrim bed I would highly recommend this if you want to treat yourself. The inclusive breakfast was a nice touch.

The self check in process could be clearer - I had not realised that this would be the case. However the manager was very responsive on the app and WhatsApp and my questions were answered quickly.

The location of Hostal Rua 35 is about perfect. The hotel is in the middle of the city, yet off the beaten path just enough to be quiet. Like most European hotels, stairs are involved if you want to go anywhere. Reception is on floor 1 (2nd floor to we Americans), but this also provides a bit of extra safety and buffer from street noise. The lady who manages the hotel was so very nice. When I had questions, she went out of her way to answer them. There is a really nice supermarket about four doors to the right of the front door, and a pharmacy a few doors to the left. The beautiful Leon Cathedral is less than a five minute walk. This was a perfect spot to take a 'rest day' durring my forty-four walk on the Camino de Santiago-Frances. I highly recommend Rua 35.

The olny external signage for the hotel is the address 35, above a green door. I would suggest signage with the Hostal 35 name. This could be a small sign, but would avoid confusion to a tired pilgrim.

We had a spacious 5 bed room with a private bathroom. The shared kitchen was well equipped, and we appreciated the breakfast supplies and tea and coffee as well as salt pepper spices. Great location. Good value for money. Washing machine and drying rack and powder provided. Staff were responsive on booking.com messaging.

Room door was a bit tricky to unlock. Could have done with instruction for locating our room but figured it out - find the door with matching key colour.

Although the host was not there in person, all the details were accurately sent by text to enable us to arrive and enter the property. The double room was clean and spacious. The kitchen facilities were good and breakfast easy for us to make for ourselves. We are planning to come back to Leon in the near future and hope to stay there once more.

Excellent location. Right on the Camino Frances - there is a yellow arrow on the street in front of the hostel. There is a supermarket virtually next door. Location could not be better for peregrinos.

I had trouble getting into the hostel to check in, but that is on me because I was inexperienced with hostels and did not tell them when I would arrive.

The Hostal is right on the Camino. It is close to the cathedral. David, the staff person, was wonderful. He made excellent recommendations and helped with using the washer and stove. The washer was included as was breakfast. Juice, milk, cereal, oatmeal, cakes, and coffee. Everything was clean and neat.

Cute place directly on the Camino Santiago. Clean and comfortable. No on-site host, but responded immediately on whatsap. Very helpful with some difficultys we had.

Everything about this hostel is amazing. The owners are so kind and accommodating. The beds are comfortable. The space is cozy. And the location is unbeatable!
