This was our second year staying at this hotel during our holidays on Costa Brava. All the staff are extremely helpful, efficient, and great to interact with (at the reception and in the breakfast area, also staff doing the rooms). The breakfast and the other meals are really excellent, a huge variety of choices for all tastes, and absolutely superb desserts. Very good coffee for breakfast. Clean room. Plenty of towels, changed every day. Room cleaned every day (basic cleaning with towels changed every day). Comfortable beds with good pillows and linen. The bathrooms (with shower) are very comfortable, no issues with water temperature or water pressure, all working great. We came with our cat, reasonable price for bringing a pet. We received vouchers for welcome drinks, this was a nice touch :) Good location, close to the beach and a lot of shopping options, bars etc

I think the furniture in some rooms could use some upgrading but this wasn’t an issue for us.

The hostel itself is nice, room was big, it had a balcony, nice bathroom, cleaning everyday, if you wanted, breakfast was good, staff was nice ans the location is super!

A way too eager waiter took my mom's FULL plate that she had just gathered, when she was getting more coffee. They even stole her hand sanitizer bottle and threw it to the bin alongside the fresh food. Absolutely not okay! And it wasn't even nearing the closing time.

The staff is very friendly, they really pay attention to everything, the room was always clean, and the beach is very close.

The sound insulation in the hotel is very poor. During our stay, we were woken up at night by people returning from parties.

Good value for favourable price in pre season. Clean room, wide variety of food. Beautiful sea view. Close to the beach.

Unfortunatelly, some people were shouting all night long in front of the hotel so we were not able to sleep at all, even with closed Windows. And nobody make them shout up.

Great location, excellent breakfast, staff is verry polite and pleasant, Room with a balcony, proper sized room and bathroom, nice and pleasant enteriour.

the safety box wasn't working, no hair drier in, they didn't inform us when checking in that you have to leave a deposit to get the hair drier...floor in the room a bit dirty, lobby always crowded by some "strange people" that looked like the just came out of a banana boat

Very basic hotel, but I use room only for sleeping all day otherwise im outside! Only one thing missing in the room is fridge! And maybe someone would not like that downstairs is night club every day open!

Lovely location, right at the beach. Clean rooms, very polite cleaning lady on the 9th floor, bless her heart! Everything went as expected, it’s a basic hotel and perfect for a family vacation.

No fridge in the room TERRIBLE buffet. Worst I’ve been to… Reception girls talk to you like they paid for your stay.

Great location, near the beach but also near the main road so it can be noisy even in the night. Staff was very nice and the food was delicious. In total, great value for the paid price.

We're regulars at the Cartago Nova, we stayed here several times during the years (our first stay was back in 1993!!!).

We liked everything, otherwise we wouldn't be returning guests.
