Staff was always helpful and polite. The room has everything you need. The kitchen is complete. Indoor parking was super for not getting the car too warm and making it easier to get with the luggage into the room.

The biggest problem is guests who do not follow the rules and the hotel does not do anything about it. I have read in other reviews and experienced it myself. The pool closes at 22 and more than once I heard people diving after that time. Also people drinking and talking very loud after 23 and people smoking where there are clear signs that forbids it. That is very common. The weekly cleaning could be more clear. You never know which day your room will be cleaned. Also, the weekly cleaning should include more than just changing sheets, wiping the floor and bathroom. The kitchen and the furniture were not touched, all the dust accumulating.

I've been coming here for around 14 years, so that says a lot about the location and apartments. Always a pleasure, i tend to use the local beaches, but there is a pool on site with plenty of seating. Small shop on site and not far to several local shops for self catering, although food is available on site. You can walk down to the nearest beach, although it is uphill on the way back, which may be harder after a day in the sun. Close to Gibraltar for those that want to go, Marlow fish and chip (for those missing home) and a gym down by the main road.

Nice apartment and very good size for 5 of us 13+ years old. Friendly staff Clean environment. Fair location took 2 Mins to drive to the beach front. Underground parking was useful. Had all you needed in the apartment to cook etc if you wanted The balcony was an ok size Aircon was good. Everything was clean even inside fridge.

The opening time for the pool was late from 10am. The bar/restaurant could have done with being more welcoming as it looked a little empty and hard to tell that was what it was for. They have a small shop inside by reception but everything we looked to use it, it seemed closed. Don't think enough floor staff were around. Had mini golf onsite but only knew by walking around that this was here. Seemed wasted. The pool is extremely deep even in the shallow end for kids.

Have been coming to this part of Spain for around 20 years and staying at Manilva Sun (previously El Goleto) for 15 of them. All rooms are comfortable and cleaned several times during a stay. Good kitchen facilities for self catering and lots of places to eat in Duquesa, Sabinillas or Estepona (or Marlows at the bottom of the road). Plenty of chairs around the pool if you don't want to go to the beach.

As i keep coming back each year, nothing i don't really like other than my holiday never being long enough.

Quiet location, great sea views. Spacious appartement. Comfy beds. Supermarket in walking distance. 20 min to nearest beach. Very friendly staff. Secure parking in underground garage.

No soap or other hygienic articles in bathroom. No hooks to hang up towels. No kitchen towels. Sofa not comfy, no cushions. Chair grubby. No place mats or coasters for the table. Room lacks cosiness. Neighbours noisy, banging doors. There is a new building site close to the hotel and on some days they were drilling and hammering all day which made a relaxed stay on the otherwise lovely balcony impossible.

One chair on balcony was broken, toilet seat needed fixing - so just tiny things easily fixed but the worst thing for me was, despite signs around the pool area saying “no smoking” there were cigarette ends around and every Sun lounger had ash on the sides where people had put out their cigarettes. Attention to this and cleaning of the chairs and pool area would have made our stay almost perfect!

Everything was like expected : the appartment is quite big (from a Parisian perspective) and pretty well equipped, the balcony is not big but enough still. It's really not far from the seaside and all commodities (shopping, restaurants, etc). The pool is open 10-22h, and a set of utilities is provided (1 sponge, a small manual dishwashing soap bottle for 1 or 2 days, a tabletop mop, 1 pod for laundry, one for dishwasher)

For a region with SO MUCH DELICIOUS oranges, this place, like every other we visited lacked a manual citrus fruits juicer!

Really enjoyed our stay here for 13 nights.. Apartment was really spacious with 2 bathrooms. Everything you needed. The small onsite shop is a great touch. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Pool area is perfect and never too busy, gets the sun all day.. Supermarket 10 mins walk down the hill though a bit longer to get back up the hill! We were happy to walk everywhere but if you aren't used to walking it could be challenging. The port is approximately 20 minutes walk and has a great range of bars and restaurants. Would recommend and will be back again.

Thank you for such an amazing week and accommodating such a large group of us (13 on family holiday). It was clean, comfortable and a great atmosphere. We were made to feel really welcome. The pool was great, relaxing and lots of quiet periods. Never too crowded. The little shop on site had everything u need. We have a group with all ages. Young kids. Teenagers, young adults . Older adults. This suited all ages.

People at reception and the cafe were great. Very helpful and friendly. I also liked the fact that the reception desk and even the cafe is staffed all day. The entire grounds, the pool area, the bar and cafe area are good. The place was very peaceful at the time I visited, 3rd week of December. I also liked the nearby beach town of Sabanillas. (Good tapas there, and a little Spanish cafe as well.) For more International (and more expensive) food, try the Duquesa port area, with its scenic views of the port.

The pool was unheated so, too cold for me. The cafe has only a very small selection of items. It would be good to serve some kind of lunch or dinner. Most people staying here would need a car. You might be able to get by without a car, provided you have very little baggage and are capable of walking 15-20 minutes up to the hotel. (or get Uber). There are 6-8 busses a day from Estepona stopping at Castillo / Duquesa.
