Excellent location and lovely. roomy well-appointed two bed apartment with living area, ,kitchen, roomy balcony, pool and super beach/sea views. Stone's throw from the beach and the nice Papillon bar and beachside restaurant (one of the best in the area) where guests had a 10 per discount on food. The housekeeping was great and the apartment was kept very clean. Reception staff polite and professional. Walking distance to other beach restaurants and bars and a mini supermarket. Another positive is that the resort is no longer hassling people for timeshare opportunities and invitations from salesmen which is great if you've just paid for a one off holiday and just want to keep to yourself and enjoy yourself!

The main thing - the double bed. A bit small and very hard and uncomfortable - we found it difficult to sleep. Eventually we asked at reception for a mattress topper which improved matters still not perfect.I would recommend asking for a mattress topper. They really should upgrade the mattresses but it appears the opposite may be the case. It also would have been nice to have cushions on the sofas as they're also not very comfortable. (we used spare pillows as cushions instead). Since our last visit we noticed the in house bar under reception (which used to do a happy hour) and Roberto's in house pizza restaurant had been closed.

Secure apartment & pool. Loved the location, being so close to the beach & Le Papillon restaurant which was fabulous & close to 2 smallish supermarkets (everything that you need). Lots of other good places to eat nearby & walking along the beach. Recommend visiting the old town.

We did not realise that although the apartment is fully equipped (bedding, bathroom towels, cutlery & crockery etc) that we needed to bring/buy everything else > beach/pool towels - washing up liquid. Our mistake - maybe needs to be clearer but maybe I didn't read the info properly. I can't say that I didn't like this as was not a problem - I just didn't realise.

Spacious apartment. Well equipped. I especially appreciated the washing machine.

The decor and finishes are dated. The apartment is damp. The water heater leaked. We informed the front desk and they sent a maintenance man around. He drained it but didn't fix it. Our stay might have been more comfortable if we had a dehumidifier.The tile floor was slick when wet. Should have asked for a rubber tub mat. The terrace for 1 bedroom apt don't offer much sunlight hours and you can't see out to the Med. That was a bit disappointing. Didn't really get that from the pics.

The apartment was spotlessly clean and very spacious and comfortable. Pool area was lovely.

The resort was a bit far away from everything, but it was easy to get uber and taxis. We did have an issue with ants in the apartment.

Loved the location to the sea. Only downside was it was a bit far away from larger amenities but the local ones were great.

I stayed in 510 which was great apartment but, and it’s a big but, the people who stayed above us were very noisy!!! Their noise started in the very early hours of the morning, around 5am until about 9.30am. I should have alerted reception but didn’t. Don’t know what they were doing at that time but boy were they noisy!!! Another little niggle was that there is no 24 hour reception. Next time I’m booking the 3 bedroom penthouse so no one is above us. Overall though I loved the place!!

sun lounges at the swimming pool were old and used. I think it is a time to replace them. Also it would be nice if there were sun lounges on the balconies.

Beautiful location, so close to the beach. Large apartment with everything you would need.

Bed was very uncomfortable, mattress was old and poor quality.

The apartment was so impressive. It’s a great size, the bedrooms were all really big. The bathrooms were lovely and the ensuite bathroom had a jacuzzi bath. The balcony is huge. So much space. Great views over the sea and the pool. It’s a lovely small complex with a good size pool. A quiet area of Elvira but near all facilities. A very nice restaurant within a couple of minutes called Papillon. Very helpful lovely staff in the Playa Real reception.

The only slight negative for us was that Elvira doesn’t have the promenade yet that can be found in central Marbella, Puerto Banus, Estepona etc. you can of course walk along the beach which is lovely but a bit harder on the knees!!

Close to beach and restaurants! Nice gardens and sun loungers to use.

We have stayed here several times and have never had to pay £150 deposit for breakages before!!!!Cold at night and not enough blankets for the bed! And why only a double bed in such a large bedroom? Also frying pans very worn so everything sticks!

Great location, nice and quiet but easy to get to the old town and other localities by the car we hired. lovely walks on the beach, nice clean pool and plenty of sun loungers. Nice big room with very efficient air con (a little too efficient!) large balcony, fully equipped kitchen, flat screen TVs in the lounge and bedroom and good sized bathroom with two basins (hooray!) and bath shower.

The bed mattress and pillows were lumpy and we struggled to sleep properly the three nights we were there. Very unfortunate as everything else was so good.
