A quirky little hotel--and I usually like quirky.

Unfortunately, the quirkiness extended to the room assignment(s). I was originally given a room with a decent-sized bed (what's called a cama matrimonial in Spain) in a room where there was just BARELY enough room to walk around said bed. There was a very narrow adjoining "room" with just enough space for a small couch and a tiny table. Quirky, but perfect for just me. 3 days into the stay, I hear from the hotel that I had accidentally been give a double room (huh?) and they needed me to move to a single. Now, I cannot possibly imagine how that room could be big enough for two people--but there are many things about coupledom that I cannot imagine. I moved to a single room, which would have been fine if not for the terrible, tiny bed that left me with cramped muscles the next day (the mattress was much too soft). The area is a bit isolated, especially if you don't have a car, but doable with some imagination. In summer, when the windows MUST be left open because of the heat (no air conditioning), the traffic going by is very noisy. Considering that the closest cafe is a 15-minute walk away (no grocery store in sight), a small refrigerator in the room would not be amiss.

Hot water. Elevator.

Very small hot and dirty room, destroyed bathtub, uncomfortable bed, bad smell at the elevator and the corridors, dogs barking from the other rooms. 80euros charge is stealing for this accommodation.
