The most perfect place I have ever stayed!! I almost don't want to write a review because everyone will want to go! :) This was my second time here, and it has become my sanctuary and my happy place, I plan to return every year if possible. The gourmet breakfast is delicious, with different options available every morning, fresh juices, fresh fruit, and excellent coffee! Dinner is fabulous with excellent service, tasty Michelin level food, beyond expectation! The place itself is perched up on top of the hill very close to a beautiful hiking trail called 'Monachil Los Cahorros' - (anyone can do this trail whether you want to do a shorter or longer route). The most tranquil and beautiful spot you will ever visit, whether its a solo trip like me or with family, friends or a loved one! The most amazing views from the hotel (which is a boutique sustainable hotel) - The bed was an absolute dream, and all the rooms are perfect, with beautiful detail! Muchisima gracias a Patricia, Manuel, Ariadna, Tatiana, Ana y Fran (and everyone else who works there too) - You all make this a special place!

Fantastic staff, beautiful location, amazing chef, wonderful cool saltwater pool. The natural environment and views were phenomenal. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and they changed our room (even though they were fully booked) so that there were the least amount of stairs to negotiate. The room was very quiet, great bed, great shower., We didn't expect to have dinner there every night but the food, service and view were so fabulous that we did eat there every night. They give you the menu each morning and you can decide whether you want to have dinner there that night. They created an individualized menu around our dietary restrictions. Breakfast was pretty terrific, too. Owners are caring, friendly and hands on.

I'm an over-packer (sorry) and also brought along laptop and files and writing material I was working on. So I had a lot of "stuff" with me and had to rearrange things in the room a bit to find places for my things. However, I adjusted and got creative so it was no problem. Also, the gracious staff helped us get everything to our room.

Everything is absolutely perfect! From the warm welcome upon our arrival to the genuine hugs of friendship as we left. This really is a tranquil retreat with the most stunning views, professional, knowledgeable, friendly and fun staff. They made us feel truly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was incredible. So lovely to have home cooked local produce in such an idyllic setting. We stayed for a week but wished it could have been longer. We will definitely return.

The location was beautiful and we enjoyed being surrounded by nature. The staff was also exceptional in making us feel at home, answering all the questions we had about various activities and sharing their favorite, local recommendations.

The property is located near the base of the Sierra mountains, about 25 minutes from the city center. It may not seem that long of a drive but this is through narrow streets in small towns and in the end, up a very large hill with one lane access only. We didn’t want to deal with driving so taxi’d everyday - it ended up being the same cost as renting a car but it did feel like a chore everyday to have to figure out transportations. So would advise doing your own research!

Absolutely stunning stay near Granada! This hotel is tucked away in a peaceful, beautiful area with breathtaking mountain views right from the room. Our room was flawless – a lovely, secluded terrace, a gorgeous bathroom with a huge shower, and the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in for a long time. Breakfasts were a daily highlight – fresh and delicious, with eggs made to order and excellent coffee! If you stay for dinner (which you absolutely should), the food is hands down the best I’ve eaten. As a vegetarian, it was such a joy to be in Spain and eat fresh, healthy, food - Michelin stars all round if it was up to me! The hotel is also perfectly located – just a 20-minute drive from the Alhambra, making it ideal for a day trip without the hassle of staying in the city. Nearby, there’s a good walk (with five bridges to cross by a gorge), a beautiful three-hour hike that the staff will recommend – it’s well worth the effort. The staff are fantastic – warm, welcoming, and always helpful. All in all, a perfect escape – I can’t wait to return. Thank you!!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The online check-in process via the web form was easy and convenient. Communication prior to our arrival was clear and efficient, thanks to the chat feature on Booking.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Ana, who provided us with a lot of information and guided us to our room. The morning shift staff were equally friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was delightful, offering a variety of options, including alternatives suitable for my pregnancy diabetes. The location is stunning; don't be deterred by the winding roads leading up to it—the scenic views are well worth the journey.

We also had the opportunity to dine at the hotel. The food was refined and reasonably priced, and the service was friendly.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, beautiful location, and great amenities.

What a wonderful setting and retreat .So close to Granada, while also being accessible to the mountains and fantastic walking trails The quality of hospitality and care is exceptional. You are made to feel so welcome. The staff are very warm and friendly, plus full of local knowledge. Rooms are very stylish with a real attention to detail and comfort considered . Excellent breakfasts , with a wonderful range of options , all freshly cooked and beautifully served. The evening meals are a culinary delight. Throughly recommend and hope to return.

Phantastic location, embedded in nature but still close to Granada and hiking routes. People coming there are obviously settled and not the youngest anymore, though there was one couple with a child. Very nice hotel on different levels, friendly and very accommodating staff and cosy places to be in- and outside. Useful information about visiting Granada, hiking, and restaurants (be aware that you will get the top league - for more simple choices, you have to look yourself). Dinner is good, though the vegetarian option could have a bit more taste - don't expect the new style veggie cooking. Breakfast is tending towards brunch, very nice. There is no traditional ham and cheese platter - no problem, but be aware if this is a must for you.

Limited coffee choices. No problem for us, since we do not drink any, but could be for others. The price is the price - you know it beforehand :)

We arrived at La Almunia straight off the plane at Malaga and were given such a warm and friendly welcome by Ariadna that we immediately felt at home! All the staff were friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to give us a good stay. The hotel is hidden away with an amazing view over the valley and surrounding mountains, particularly from the restaurant terrace. We particularly loved the food, a 5 course set menu which was absolutely delicious every night. We were impressed at the attention to detail and how the hotel was so accommodating to our particular dietary requests. It was lovely that the owner Patricia visited each table to chat with all of her guests, or in her absence the lovely Ariadna and Anna. There was a really relaxed vibe at the hotel and the swimming pool and gardens added to this. Thank you to Patricia, Ariadna, Anna and all the staff for a wonderful and memorable stay. Would love to return!
