We (2 adults, 12 and 9 year old boys) stayed at Occidental for two weeks, and we all had the best and relaxing vacation! The hotel staff are all super nice and helpful, it was obvious they were enjoying working together and were passionate about doing a good job. At the hotel there is a small store runn by a lovely lady called Carmen and usually these hotel stores are expensive, but this one isn't! The waterpark is great for adults, teens, kids and babies! Plenty of different things to do for everyone over the day with the activity club staff and in the evenings there was a kids disco, plus a show from the circus. The menu at the buffet was good and everyone should be able to find something that they like. The beach is only 10 minutes away but it is downhill from the hotel and some might feel tired walking back up, but it was only about 15 minutes going back walking. The WiFi is Best near the main building. There is a kids spa from 10-11:30 every day, a lovely way to start a relaxing day 😊 Plenty of sunbeds all around the pools.

The dining hall was noisy but we found it better to sit outside in the open area while eating, mainly to be away from the noise. The WiFi was slow and often unreachable in our room.

I had the best family rooms with sea view 9101 and 9102 The food was very very good and there were plenty of choices Especially a lot of meat and fish cooked in front of you Also snacks bar with burger and pizza open from 11am to 6pm Amazing entertainment all day long Every night different entertainment Just amazing Pool bar with very nice staff Beach close and also free bus to the beach The cleaning staff is very good It was a super amazing holiday

I wish there was a kettle and coffee in the room But this is just me Can't wake up without a coffee

Third time visiting and food is always great, the beer and the wine is great. Nice hotel with the pools, great views and the programs every evening is great.

Unfortunately the outside bar closes around 5pm, and there are queues for a drink. You can no longer serve yourself with beer, wine and a soft drink in the outside bar. Didn’t always get a bottle of water with the room cleaning service. The bathroom doors could do with a replacement and some front doors have a gap which is not good on ground floors because of cockroaches. Seen some dead ones but that was it.

Amazing experience! The all inclusive package is really worth it. All the meals are amazing! Such a vast buffet with Spanish, Italian and Continental dishes - veg, fish, chicken, meat, salads, desserts, dips, live counters - still with some variations everyday in breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool bar has enough snacks to munch on - salads, pizza, fried snacks etc. The Sangria is everywhere and alcohol options are plenty! The staff at the restaurant and pool and theater bar was great too! Also hats off to the animation team for their enthusiasm and organizing nice activities for kids as well as grown ups. Last but not the least, the heated pool and the theater at 9 pm are the cherry on the top. You can spend the whole day within the resort without getting bored for a single minute!

The room that we got was a bit old. However, it was spotlessly clean. We were expecting slippers in the resort ( as we have seen at other places), but it wasn't a deal breaker ofcourse.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The facilities were great, the entertainment brilliant. The rooms lovely, beds comfortable. Location was also ideal, close to shops and the beach. I really enjoyed my stay.

Breakfast was good but not much choice for people who don't eat pork. I requested halal food but in the snack bars there wasn't anything other than pork. We also reserved the Toscana restaurant. It was very disappointing. Soup was supposed to be Chinese with shrimp but was like tomato soup with 3 shrimp, nothing else. The Duck and orange was dry and cold. Our strudel desert was shockingly like a third of a brioche and was cold. I was still hungry after leaving the restaurant. The buffet was better than the restaurant.

Many activities for families and kids (mini golf, aquapark, heated swimming pool, baby club). Laundry was a plus, useful for us. The Jandia beach nearby is amazing. Buffet is ok and there's a kids buffet, my kid loved it. I don't know if we were lucky but the weather was great.

The buffet could introduce water pitchers to simplify water for every table, since glasses are very small and one family needs many glasses, so many trips to the water fountain. We killed some bugs in the restaurant and found many next to the tea station in the theatre bar. The wifi was very slow and not always working well, i couldn't work and had to use my 4G

This is a lovely 4 star resort, situated up the hill from the beach and about 10 mins cab ride from the town center. The rooms are very large, and the beds were also very comfortable, with a large bathroom and toilet, that was cleaned daily. There are 2 large pools on different levels, with the top pool being a heated one. Plenty of sun beds around, and a snack bar and drink bar really available to top up on in between meals. The food was quite nice, with a wide selection and variety of dishes, and as All inclusive goes, we were never short of an endless supply of drinks and cocktails. As for El Bomba! The staff are very nice and accommodating, with loads of daytime and evening activities and entertainments for both the adults and kids, and overall, it was a really great and relaxing experience and would definitely come back again.

When making your payment, the hotel ask to charge you in Pounds or Euros. The rate was very steep when paying in pounds, and you are better off paying in Euros and taking the conversion charges. Also, do ensure that you book your shuttle bus 3 days in advance if possible, if not there is a local bus to the airport at certain times, but it does not take card payments and is cash in Euros only. We found this out the hard way.

The staff is so friendly and always happy, smiling while they do their hard work. Absolutely incredible people. We're already missing them. It can't be stated enough, how brilliant so many of the staff was. So much care, our baby got sick in the middle. They offered arranging doctors visit or medicine if we'd needed it. As we were stuck mostly in our room, we got a call from reception if there is anything else they could help us with. Also, at the buffet restaurant, they let us take food to our room. And asked if they need to cook anything special for our baby. We were really blown away by staff concerns for us. Also they put on extra activities with music and dancing... as our daughter loved it.

Cleanliness, in general, can pick up a little. Sometimes room cleaning wasn't done really well. Our bedding and towels weren't changed whenever our baby left marks... our balcony was only cleaned once in two weeks. Also, the Internet connection was very unreliable. There were two doves flying and seemingly living in the buffet restaurant, which should be addressed.

Great location, very nice swimming pools and waterpark. Really big and well equipped apartment. Friendly staff in reception, restaurant and bars. Beautiful view from the room.

Poor day and night entertainment, same playlist of poor songs looped, had to listen to it all day by the pool and a few times in the evening too. Food was tasty but not much choice (especially vegetables). No umbrellas by the pools, just a few pergolas under which all sunbeds were reserved from 8am, not much shade for everybody else.

Food was veeeery nice surprise for such kind of all incl hotel, I really truly loved all the meals I have tried - alas honestly there was absolutely NO chance to try it all:-) Fresh fish, fresh fruits, crispy pizza, heaps of sweets, etc etc etc. Plus aquaparc for kids plus special opportunity to get to the top of the highgest island mountain just behind the hotel if you wake up early enough, hiking under the stars for sunrise and then having late breakfast back down - loved it!

wifi "reliability" - it was incredibly poor unfortunately. Also soundproofing between rooms might be better as well:-) The rooms are dated but generally look quite well maintained.
