I loved everything about this hotel, from the room types and customer service to the facilities and pool area and stunning views of Burriana. The views are out of this world. Staff were amazing and very accommodating immediately from our arrival, we had a small problem with our AC unit and they were on it straight away until it was sorted. I have stayed in Nerja a few times and its location is hands down the very best I have ever stayed in, in fact, I'd go as far as to say that if you want to spend time on Burriana and in town, Paraiso Del Mar is the best located hotel in Nerja, full stop. Breakfast was good, nicely presented and clean, (although I didn't have any) the daily eggs, bacon and beans were a nice surprise to find on the continental selection. Continental is enough, especially is you are nipping down to the beach for a Paella lunch with a cerveza or two. I was a little concerned before arrival after reading a few reviews a little late and reading about the lack of showers in the rooms, I now suspect those reviews refer to actual walk in showers though as we had three rooms and all had hand-held showers over the baths, which we coped with fine, maybe check with the hotel before you book though as the baths were quite high to access so if you or a member of your groups struggles with mobility, getting into the bath itself could be a problem? Recommending a hotel to friends and family is a big thing, but, I will recommend this hotel to others for sure!

Location. Views. Staff. Ambience. Located in a peaceful spot in Nerja but only a few mins walk to the buzz of Nerja Old Town or the buzz of Barriana beach. It has a breathtaking view with stairs down to the beach. The ambience by the pool/gardens is very tranquil. It’s exceptionally clean and the staff were warm and friendly and super efficient. There is a good selection for cold breakfast. Nice to be able to get drinks at reception to sit by the pool. Bedroom was super quiet, clean, light, great size bed(I think a super king), modern quiet air-con, bathroom was tired however great shower pressure, lots of hot water, etc.

It is tired in decor and some places in the garden need some maintenance and attention. Hot breakfast could be better and a coffee machine in the bedroom would be nice. Despite some negatives the overall experience is magical so the negatives are minor in comparison to all the positives. Can’t wait to go back!

We had amazing 4 days at hotel. The grounds are beautiful, rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is wonderful, on the terrace with amazing views. 10 min walk by foot to town center. We had a car, we were able to park in their garage for a fee which we expected and it was very convenient. If their garage is full there is a huge public parking lot 5 min walk away. The owner and staff amazing. We experienced Spain power outage while at the hotel and owner and staff went all out to make everyone’s stay comfortable when power was out. Highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back.

A small well run hotel in a lovely position with great sea views. Excellent breakfasts. Nice roof terrace above our room. Everything looked very tidy.

Unfortunately my partner who is not that tall and a little unsteady on her feet found the climb up and into (and out of) the jacuzzi type bath too difficult to manage and there was no separate hot shower. The rooms are decorated in a style that wouldn't be up to many people's tastes - very dated. Burriana beach is "ok" but we found the shops / bars / restaurants down there pretty tacky with zero spending by the local Council on any recent improvements - despite the massive tourism income the town benefits from. Not the hotel's fault at all. Nerja main town is far nicer.

The view and access to the beach is amazing. Breakfast is good, but doesn't stand out. The pool is nice for a quick dip.

Since we we're travelling with a dog we left her often for some time in the room. This meant the time the room could be cleaned was limited. But the hotel was also not very helpful in this regard. Over the 5 nights we were there the room was not cleaned once. Even though we would be out of the room till 14:00 with our dog some days, and even asked specifically to do it while we had breakfast, but that was not possible because "they had so many rooms to clean".

The location is excellent. There are stairs to the beach (quite a steep descent). Absolutely perfect for us (family of four, children 5 and 8 years old). Everything was very very clean including the beds which is the most important. The breakfast is excellent. The pools and the outdoor area are very nice with stunning views of the shoreline! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The day we arrived our accommodation was clean hours before and it was no problem whatsoever to get in already. The big family room/penthouse is gorgeous with the best views we ever had.

Feels a bit outdated here and there and their maintenance does a horrible job improvising all the fixes to the extent that I saw a door fixed with cardboard 🤣.

We had great time at Hotel Paraiso del Mar! Location is very nice; very close to Burriana Beach (direct access) and walkable to Balcon de Europa area. Awesome views of Burriana beach and coastline from pool area and our own balcony. Breakfast was included and was very good. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would stay again if/when we return to Nerja.

Only a minor issue: We rented two rooms because there were five in our party - an upstairs suite with balcony and downstairs with garden view. The upstairs room was great; the downstairs room had some ants and kind of a musty smell, so not as nice experience. The other aspects (location, views, helpful staff, nice breakfast) far outweigh this relatively minor issue.

Location on the sea with own entrance to the beach 100 steps down . You get a code to enter again . Parking for rental car 20,00 euros a day they park the car for you in the underground parking garage. Breakfast buffet simple but good , it was nice quit and beautiful views. Staff is getting ready for summer I think since the property outside was not cleaned up everywhere. Big towels you can borrow for the swimming pool or jacuzzi . Jacuzzi was nice but no instructions so you have to figure it out yourself . Our room in front had a shower in bath , jets didn’t work . The shower was placed in the middle weird position so you have to keep looking for the curtains not to get wet and make the floor wet. It was a pleasant stay !

A friendly, comfortable, old-style hotel in a quiet location. Perfectly located to explore Nerja's town centre (less than 10 minutes by foot), which has a great range of excellent bars, cafes, restaurants and boutique-style shops. Fantastic views of the beach from the balcony of our room and the hotel gardens, which were very well maintained. Access to the beach via a private staircase. Breakfast was fresh with a good range of food available, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Live "sundowner" music on a couple of evenings too from our Swedish hosts was a nice touch and added to the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel was also a good base from which to explore some of the lovely villages just inland in the surrounding hills.

This didn't impact our stay at all, and therefore is more for awareness - there are quite a few stairs and steps to negotiate within the hotel, which comprises a series of linked buildings. Also, while there is on-site parking available at 20 Euros/day, this cannot be reserved (contrary to the information in the booking details). There is alternate safe, free parking down by the beach, which is a 2-minute walk up the private hotel stairs or a 5-minute walk up moderately steep footpath. Details on how to find the off-site parking provided by the Hotel were detailed and totally accurate.

The location of this hotel is top notch and amazing. We had the villa and had a beautiful patio with a sofa and chairs. The view was absolutely amazing and the gate to walk down to the beach was right by our patio. The breakfast was excellent and had plenty of options (eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereal, cheeses, meats etc.). The beach is beautiful and we were able to rent 2 chairs and an umbrella for 12 euros. There is a restaurant that has people come out to take food and drink orders when you are sitting in the rented chairs which was really nice to have that service. Towels are available from the front dest for the lounge chairs. The hotel is a very short walk to where all the restaurants and shops start in the town, maybe 5 minutes and then a few more min to the Balcony of Europe. The town is much bigger than i expected with so many shops and restaurants. Also, we parked through the hotel but there is a parking lot that is just a 3 minute walk away. people were very friendly at the front desk.

You have to step up some steps to get into the tub which has a shower. It felt a little unsafe getting out, if you slipped you would get hurt. The hair dryer is very old and not very powerful. Also the villa is a bit dated.
