We visited Casa del Burro last week and what a wonderful experience! Hosted by Harry and Mary-Anna, we were received with smiles and friendly chats on a daily basis and had a very pleasant stay in their mini paradise. The property exceeded our expectations with beautiful surroundings, landscaping, an incredibly large pool with spectacular views!!!! Another thing to note are the breakfasts, which must be tasted and the fact that they could not do enough to make us welcome. A massive thank you and big recommendation.

Everything! from the moment we arrived We were made to feel welcome the host showed us around and explained where everything was. It was peaceful and quiet, the view was divine. The breakfast amazing and different every day. It was too windy for the beach when we were there the pool was huge and fabulous a swim. Lots of fairy lights at night always a winner for me and an overhead fan on the room which I prefer to having aircon on at night and this was the only place we stayed that had a fan

It was a bit of an adventure to get there, fortunately my husband loves driving up narrow winding hilly roads. This could be a problem for someone who isn’t confident but there at numerous pull off places and we have found Spanish drivers to be courteous and patient drivers they are so used to narrow streets and giving way

Great Views, Amazing spacious Pool, secluded garden, Good privacy and fantastic place to relax. Stayed in studio by pool. It’s quite small but big enough to manage. Great hosts, great shower, WiFi etc. And perfectly positioned to chill by pool and make own drinks and lunch. Will definitely stay there again

Car is essential as can’t walk anywhere. Access roads are steep bumpy and a bit like off roading. But worth it and wouldn’t put me off staying again.

After our host guided us the first time the challenging road up the hill, we arrived in an oasis of tranquility. We enjoyed our three night stay in this beautiful ambience with it’s breathtaking view down to the sea. The breakfast was fantastic and of high quality. They went beyond all expectations we experienced on our holidays, especially after our negative experience in Malaga. It was a relief to meet this nice people who were very supportive.

A rural oasis in the hills overlooking the Costa and set in a melon and avocado plantation. The premises are unique providing a restful almost idyllic environment. The hosts provided a fantastic breakfast and tapas.

The drive up to the property can be a bit daunting to a less experienced driver

Monique and Fred are the best hosts you could ever imagine! They are attentive, helpful, and extraordinarily great people! The view and pool were amazing, but the best part was magnificent Monique's breakfasts full of culinary delights served on a gorgeous terrace. With Fred there to attend to your early morning coffee needs and bring Monique's creations to you, what more could you want? All this, along with the attention of our hosts, their great conversation and fun sense of humor, made our stay more than memorable, they made it special. THEY are special :)!

Very quiet, peaceful, beautiful location. Studios were very cute and well equipped. Pool was lovely. Breakfast was really lovely, great value for money.

Wasn't a problem for us but just to note that you do need a car as it is only 10 min from Nerja centre but up a dirt track and I don't think taxis would venture up there. It's also a little bit hairy if you meet anyone coming the other way so just to bear in mind if you're not the most confident driver. For us the trade off with the quiet as we had had a busy week prior to this was worth it! Also they don't have a restaurant and you can't drink the tap water so take bottled water with you and either plan to go out or take food to cook. Fred and Monique gave us some good recommendations in the area which we used, but if we Came back we'd probably grab some food to make food ourselves so we didn't need to go out in the evening.

The studio flats are in the best location next to the pool, and there is an amazing view over the valley. The flat has all we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We really enjoyed the extras like the pool and playing ping pong and darts.

The road up to the villa was challenging, but the villa was a gem and worth it.

In truth, Nada!

We loved to stay in La Casa del Burro! The place is insane. Monique and Fred created a very very lovely place on earth with a really big pool, a honesty bar, games like billiard or dart and very cute decoration all over the garden and in the apartment. And one thing which needs to be accentuate is the unbelievable breakfast weich is made by Monique on herself!! Very thanks for this lovely stay♡.

Maybe a separate air condition in the bedroom would be better (stayed in the Apartment).
