Fabulous room - elegant & quiet with all mod cons; view over pretty street with bars; spacious rooms. Breakfast buffet one of the best we've ever had - a huge spread of quality food, cooked & continental - hams, cheeses, fried eggs, lovely cereal and even (early we thought) a choice of wines!! Step out of the hotel into the old part of the city with an amazing art gallery (with 11 Sorollos!), cathedral, modern shops, a pretty park and bars and restaurants a plenty. In the evenings we had delicious light food and wine inexpensively in the beautiful hotel lounge and were attended to by the bar staff with good humour and kindness. Being able to park the car in their underground secure parking was a great boon - I wouldn't try parking in the city streets.

The bed was huge but a little hard for us - although it probably suits others, just a matter of taste. On our first morning there was no cold water in the bathroom, only boiling hot! The staff resolved it within half an hour, but in the meantime gave us another room to shower in temporarily - and made sure that we were looked after especially well in the restaurant that morning!

Beautiful old property with an eye catching facade right downtown Oviedo. Within walking distance of a pedestrianized shopping district with terraces and restaurants, near monumental buildings and a shady well maintained park. Complete with free roaming peacocks. There was ample parking in the secure hotel garage which has an elevator into the hotel. Our room had comfy beds, a welcome tray of chocolates and a fridge with cold water. Christina deserves a commendation for her cheerfulness and service in the American Bar and assistance with room service. Gracias Christina! Lastly, this handicapped traveler found the hotel easily accessible.

We couldn’t find fault with anything.

Interesting historical building and extremely warm and helpful staff. Parking garage was super convenient below the rooms (allowing direct access from rooms to parking) and had ample, large spaces. Staff gave us late checkout without hesitation, booked a lunch reservation and helped with exiting the parking. Unusually for Spain, a vigilant porter noticed us pulling up to the entrance, and took our bags directly to the room while we’re checking in. This was my first time staying at a Eurostars and I was impressed with their service and training. Would stay at this hotel again without hesitation.

Nothing. Rooms could be modernized but they also reflect a certain historic, classic charm.

The hotel was a beautiful, old building which apparently a palace in its day. The staff was very helpful, friendly and courteous. There is a nice bar in the hotel and they have a great breakfast buffet. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of all main shopping districts. If you're driving, parking is available within the hotel for a daily fee if you book ahead... a great convenience! Gracias!

On the morning we checked out the hotel's hot water system failed!

I read that some of the previous recommendations have not been that good, but for us this was a great hotel. The staff is very helpful and polite, and showed us different places to visit including a good restaurant (which we actually tried). There is a big parking garage with several spots. We knew we had to pay for the parking so we were already aware of that. 23 EUR pr day. Some will say this is expensive, but we would rather have the car parked safely than on the street and far away. The location is very good. Super close to everything. A nice park close by, and all the stores and restaurants within 7 minutes walking. Even a supermarket just on the other side of hotel for easy snacks and supplements. The staff helped us with our luggage to the room. We got an upgrade and got the room with a balcony. A really great room. We had good indoor environment, as we understood the A/C is centrally controlled, so it does work Yes, the hotel is old, but my opinion is that the staff tries to take the best care of it as possible. I also read some said they had bad shower pressure, well in our room the pressure was excellent and very strong! I would say it’s an old but antique hotel, quite unique.

Beautiful building convenient to shopping ad not far from old town. Impressive historic courtyard. Public areas decorated with historic artifacts, large paintings and beautiful lamps. Convenient and ample underground parking. Good breakfast buffet. Helpful staff.

Some wear and tear is showing in rooms: small carpet stains, discolored wall paper and scoff marks on wooden floors. During our stay the famous building facade was covered with canvas presumably due to renovation. It did not affect our stay but if you choose this hotel because of its looks, you will not enjoy it fully at this time.

Superb, palatial hotel near the centre of Oviedo. The building almost has to be seen to be believed. Staff are superb. Parking is excellent, accessed down a side street, and spacious, with pedestrian access into the hotel. Location is near to the main shopping street with lots of cafes, and it's a short walk across the beautiful San Francisco park to the mediaeval centre of Oviedo, with its excellent museum of fine art, etc.

Nothing. The hotel is a gem.

We did not want to leave this hotel!! Fabulous location in the city close to parks and restaurants, but the hotel was still quiet and calming inside. Beautiful interior, and the room was absolutely perfect. No outside noise in the room, fabulous bathroom, and comfortable space. The price was super fair and worth it. Cannot wait to stay here again, and will also make an effort to stay at this chain of hotel in other locations.

A good selection at breakfast that catered for all tastes. Comfortable room and good housekeeping staff. The location was excellent.

It would have been nice to get a decent cup of tea at breakfast. Very poor selection. Also, the fact that I booked one room for two people including breakfast, but then had to pay another 140 Euros so that my husband could have breakfast as well. A Booking.com problem I think.

A good sized room in a lovely spacious hotel. There is parking in the basement that's internally accessible (handy if it rains). It also has conference rooms, one with a large attractive cupola. Not just a hotel, also a place worth visiting in its own right. There were complimentary pastries in reception :-p

Everything was good, although we didn't have the breakfast (or indeed the supper) so can't comment on that. I didn't see gyms or saunas, although I wouldn't have used them this time anyway.
