Ciutat Jardi is a wonderful hotel. It is full of character: it was built in the 1920s in a Cuban style and is an oasis on the seafront in the east of Palma. You can literally walk out onto the beach, with a piazza that attracts families and locals. The hotel has loads of ambience and character, and is distinctly different from many of the other hotels in the area. The gardens are wonderful, with verdant planting, spotless and well-maintained. A lovely pool and plenty of space to spread out. Room was lovely - comfy bed, nice large bathroom, good facilities, including good outdoor space. Excellent housekeeping - rooms was cleaned to a very high standard every day. Beautiful food. Breakfasts were superb: comprehensive choices, beautifully presented, and set us up for the day. And lunch and dinner is also very good, with plenty of choices. Great facilities and services. We hired bikes, and were able to use the excellent cycle paths up and down the seafront. Highly authentic - a very Spanish area, also enjoyed the nearby bars, restaurants and gelateria. The team are wonderful. Everyone is smiles, chatty, and really seem to love working here, which is a key element of the friendly atmosphere. Very relaxing - the perfect place for R&R, nice and quiet at night. Ciutat Jardin is a quality place to stay - highly recommended.

The location of this property was great. In front of the beach with great restaurants around it. We were able rent bicycles through the hotel for a few days and had beautiful bike rides to the centre of Palma. It is a beautiful bike ride. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but we had dinner a few times there and the food and service were great. Speaking about service, I definitely want to say that they go above and beyond to make your stay super pleasant and enjoyable. I have to say that the hotel was very nice and clean. The pool was nice and cool but most important to mention is the beach right there. It was great to spend a few hours there a couple of days of the week that we were there. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everybody.

Nothing to dislike

The Ciutat Jardi is a relaxing haven amidst all the bustle of Palma. It has a seafront location, with lovely gardens with a clean pooI, and sunbeds with shady areas if you don't want full sun. It has a promenade/cycle path right outside where you can stroll next to sea. It is beautifully furnished & tastefully decorated. The bedroom was really nice with very comfortable bed and beautiful en-suite with walk in shower. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choice and is well presented. The dining room is beautiful with lovely old furnishings and you have the option to eat outside. The owner is really friendly and helpful - you felt as though nothing was too much trouble.

The location was great, you step out from the garden straight onto the beach walk and beach towels were provided in the rooms. There are plenty of restaurants within a 10 minute walk, as well as a convenience store and a pharmacy. We had an early morning return flight, so the proximity to the airport was a bonus. Reception booked a taxi for us, which was already waiting when we checked out. There is some sound from the planes, but it didn't affect us in the slightest. We asked for a kettle at reception which they gave us, along with cups, saucers and teaspoons. The terrace of the garden room was a real highlight, we spent a lot of time relaxing at the table there. There are also nice seated areas in the main garden if you want to be surrounded by the greenery.

The restaurant and bar were a more expensive than we personally wanted to spend. We also made our own arrangements for breakfast for the same reason.

Very attractive older type of Hotel. The rooms were comfortable. The staff were really friendly. A good location right across from the beach. I didn't eat in the Hotel so I can't comment on the food but there were plenty of Restaurants roundabout if you don't.

The Hotel was surrounded by trees, plants, and shrubs but unfortunately with that brings mosquitoes so if you are prone to bites you would definitely need mosquito spray if you stay around the pool and bar area. Drinks were a little pricey!! Nearly all of the sunbeds at the pool were in the shade until the afternoon!

The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few steps from the beach, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway. Although the hotel is small, it offers a cozy and intimate atmosphere, perfect for a peaceful retreat. Another great feature is the swimming pool, which is a fantastic alternative for those who want to cool off without leaving the hotel grounds.

Both my friends and I felt uncomfortable due to the unfriendly looks from one of the staff members during breakfast and by the pool, which tainted our overall impression. It's a pity, as the rest of the staff was friendly. Although the breakfast was served elegantly, the quality of the dishes was quite poor.

We liked just everything! The hotel has a beatiful spanish vibe, it's even more amazing than in the pictures. Hotel is located practicaly at the beach, that's a big plus, but you can also enjoy the swimming pool area in front of the hotel, which is so peaceful and lovely. The view from the room was amazing. Hotel staff was very nice and helpfull. This is a very classy hotel and for me it was worth the money.

It's a bit further located from the center, however, this is not a negative thing, but you should count on taking a taxi or public transportation. It's no problem, since it's all very well conected.

We loved this hotel! It's colonial style and slightly 'old fashioned' but in the best way. It's quirky and welcoming and we'd stay here again in a hearbeat. The gentleman on reception was so welcoming and friendly and our sea facing room had a terrace with a huge day bed, 2 sun loungers and a table and 2 chairs - it was huge! The beds were really comfy and plenty of hot water etc. All overlooking the small pool and playground to the beach. The beach promenade is flat and accessible, in the evening we walked for 20 mins to Es Molinare - full of bars, cafes & restaurants - we had the BEST fillet steaks and mouthwatering deserts. Only another 30 mins and we'd have walked into Palma, but we really didn't need to. This place is perfect for the night before you leave or the night after you arrive - but would also be great for a few days outside the capital. The breakfast was quirky again, no egg station, but there were hot options available and plenty of cold cereals, yoghurt etc, there was even cheesecake :-) This isn't a conventional hotel but we loved it's character and charm.

You are near the airport so expect planes taking off every 5 mins. Nothing a pair of ear buds wouldn't sort.

The hotel is situated in a super quiet area outside of the Palma city center (1 hour walk; 20 minute bike ride; 25 minute bus ride; 10 minute taxi). It was really nice to come back to this haven at the end of a day touring around. We booked one of the three rooms that has a large terrace and it was well worth it as we passed many mornings and afternoons relaxing. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast and allows you to take whatever you want to your room, so we had long breakfasts on our terrace overlooking the sea. The terrace also has a large daybed for lazily passing the day reading in the shade or on one of two lounge chairs, as well as a small table and two chairs to dine at. The hotel is situated on the beach - it was no more than a few steps from our room to the beach. The hotel offers bikes for you to get around. I highly recommend doing this as the beach boardwalk has specific lanes for bikes. Great way to see the island! All around our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel!

It would be nice if there were more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels, robes, etc....
