An extraordinary place to stay. A lot of thought has gone into the decor and ambience. Our room was very clean, comfortable and the corner bath a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and the three course set meal was delicious, as was the breakfast with plenty of choices. Although it is right next to a busy motorway and garage, we had a peaceful night’s sleep, as our room was around the back and overlooking countryside.

Only one thing was a problem, there was only one socket in the room, so we had to choose between having the fridge on or the bedside lamps or charging our phones!

Convenient location just off the highway, good facilities with the pool, bar and restaurant all clean, modern and new looking. The room was nice with a private outside terrace area. Breakfast was self service and there was a good choice. Dinner was nice good menu choice reasonable price.

The air on in the room had a strange stale smell when in use so we didn’t use it. The room terrace floor was dirty with cigarette butts. There was a strange single pillow on the double bed which is interesting. I would prefer two pillows. The general areas of the hotel looked dirty.

The room where I was sleeping was next to another one where one person was talking on the phone (mobile) almost at midnight... the guy wasn't loud but the room walls must have been so thin that I could practically hear what he was saying... I wasn't sleppy at that precise moment so I was fine reading but it would've been really annoying if I had been sleeping. That would've definitely wake me up and I am a good sleeper.

The environment/decor of the place, convenient location travelling towards Bilbao, the swimming pool, sunbathing area, easy parking and above all, the food. Absolutely fantastic, so glad we booked half board. Restaurant staff very nice. Overall a great experience. Great aircon and the private terrace was great. I would definitely stay again.

Bathroom was not that clean. Upon entry we noticed some hairs and some sort of top or lid from the previous customers. It would be more environmentally friendly to have soap dispensers rather than individual bottles. No shower curtain so no other choice but to splash the door. I would of appreciated a fridge in the room (although all sorted with reception)

Very nice hotel...the staff was polite and friendly. I booked on the wrong date and made another booking for my stay dates, and though the booking was non refundable, hotel staff proactively helped me to cancel without any charge. However booking.com was no help in this case. Besides that, the hotel is very tastefully made and a good Overnight halt if you are traveling from northern Spain to Barcelona or Cadaques. We have paid a fortune for many inferior hotels in Spain.

Only recommendation is to have a shower in the toilet as well...the bath tub is good for leisure but not practical.

The room I requested was located at the back of the hotel away from the motorway, it was very quiet. The room was large with a comfortable bed. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Nice bar area and reasonably priced drinks. The restaurant is light and airy and the menu of the day was very good. The breakfast provided had hot and cold dishes and plenty of choice for everyone. A particular mention to the girl who was serving behind the bar who spoke a little English and came into the dining room to help us translate the dinner menu. I would definitely stay here again.

The garden is beautiful but the only very small downside is that you can hear the motorway which is the other side of a large brick wall.

The location is great. Right alongside the motorway. It's appearance is stunning as is the front of house, reception and bar. The room we stayed in was very comfortable even though it was showing signs of wear and tear. The bathi and windows need some attention. We did book one of the cheaper rooms. We would book again and even be happy to stay in the same room.

Nothing to dislike. It's very good value for money

Evening meal was excellent, the menu allowed for all tastes from the heavy hitter meat eaters to the vegetarians. Breakfast was also excellent with a good selection. The room was comfortable and the general ambience of the hotel, with charming decor and great character, added to a very comfortable stay. All the staff were most pleasant, helpful and courteous. I was travelling with an L3 H3 Van and I was very pleased to find a safe area to park it. This was a perfect stopover for anyone headed north from the Costa Blanca, in particular to the ferry in Santander or Bilbao.

Couldn't find anything to criticise, it is however a self contained unit. Thus it could pose problems if you did not participate in the excellent dinner and breakfast which were both great value for money.

Just off the highway and perfect for one stop. Restaurant. Bar all day. Outdoor seating area. It was ok. Bed was hard but that wasn’t the issue. It was the constant smell of smoke in the room and not from us. I hate that😡. Otherwise it is a pleasant stay. Breakfast was great. Eggs. Bacon. Sausages and the other usual Spain style breakfast

Smoking from other rooms filled our room. We had a balcony so couldn’t leave door open for fresh air as neighbours are very close. Room stuffy without door open and air con sounded like it was an air jet ready to take off

I loved everything about it, it was very enchanting and especially the representation of the hotel as a castle, it was like living a childhood dream and I was able to share it with my 4-year-old daughter. I was also very happy to hear several sequences of Brazilian music....because I'm Brazilian and I hardly ever hear Brazilian music in public places and especially in a hotel..... It was very pleasant.
