This was our fourth visit to Cura Sol, and each year we enjoy it more. The location is perfect, 1 minute walk to the bus stop and taxi rank, there is a well-stocked SPAR a minute walk away and there are a couple of bars and restaurants if you don't fancy leaving Playa Cura. Cura Sol itself is spotless and well maintained, the pool area and beautiful greenery are proudly tended to by the staff. In fact, it is the staff are what keep us coming back - they are exceptional - the stars of Cura Sol. They go above and beyond to make us feel welcome, they are so kind to us.

Nothing - it's perfect!

It was perfect - the pool and hot tub were so relaxing, looking out to sea, not too busy (November) the staff were friendly and it was an easygoing atmosphere. The breakfast was great, and went on until 11 so we didn’t need lunch if we had it late. Music in the evenings but not too loud - not a party town but still fun. It’s just up the hill from several nice restaurants, a supermarket and the beach. I would definitely come back here every year if I could.

The first room we had with the en suite - the toilet had a glass door and there were gaps at the top and bottom so it felt like the toilet was in the bedroom - no privacy or boundary. Thankfully they changed our room on my request the next day. So if that sort of thing would bother you too make sure you check it’s not that room. The room they moved us to was absolutely ideal - private bathroom, more space. The balcony wasn’t quite as private but private enough that it feels like your own space. The vegetables at breakfast were a weird choice - sprouts one morning?! It didn’t matter, just not what I’d have with my egg and toast 😆

Were given a poor room 201 bit after a bit of chats with staff. Gave us bottom floor 106 we had no problems at all .the staff that looked after our room were very good .the breakfasts were also very good .the only thing that I will recommend is w/f should be in rooms as well as bar and restaurant and no charge.will be staying again no problem we go to gran canaria 3/4 times a year. And I will recommend this hotel

First room 201 not very nice at all.

This was our third time staying at Cura Sol and it won't be our last. The staff make it for us, they are so friendly and go out of their way to help. The apartments while basic, are spotlessly clean with everything you could need. The pool are and pool bar are well looked after and the views from each apartment we've stayed in have been gorgeous. Good bus links for those who want to explore the island, although why you'd want to leave your sun lounger is beyond me :) There is a decent Spar and a couple of restaurants and bars within a 1 minute walk. Playa del Cura is a blissfully quiet resort, so if you're looking for 18-30's vibes - this ain't it chica! In saying that, taxi's are efficient and inexpensive for evening jaunts to neighbouring resorts.

Very nice location: the ocean, restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Nice small pool, our room had a kitchen, everything was clean and neat. There are washing machines, so it's possible to wash the clothes.

Wifi in the room is available at an extra cost, the quality of the signal is mediocre. There is no air conditioning in the room, which is kind of a problem in the hot season (although a portable AC is available at an extra cost). The breakfast is good (more or less standard continental), but the variety does not change over time, and you eat the same food every day.

All the staff were extremely polite, immaculately clean, fabulous location and view, peaceful, lovely rest

Small niggles really, another bed pillow (normally take my own as this is a difficult thing to please), came here a few years ago and parasols were by the sunbeds permanently, now for a charge. Sun lounger mattresses should just be put out for use, instead of being left in the corner of the pool. Curasol just make people comfortable, maybe a little extra charge on hotel reservation instead of daily charges 😕.

Location was good - great view, choice of restaurants nearby and good access to a range of attractions. Pool and jacuzzi were fantastic. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Air-conditioning was really required for overnight comfort. Lots of 'extras' to pay for (wifi, parking, safe etc.) that could have been included to make for better value. We would have preferred a balcony or dedicated terrace area - we had a "terrace" that wasn't as private and kept getting used by large group next door.

Quiet pool area, not too very busy, quiet hotel, you can really relax and get a proper holiday. Comfy room with a living area, and spacious terrace. Rooms cleaned 5 a week, and cleaned properly. Room with a great view (but we requested premium at an extra charge).

Breakfast selection could be improved and benefit from more vegetables. With regards to veg there were mostly tomatoes, same fried veg every day and on some days cucumbers. Would be nice to have more choice in salad area, and eggy breakfast, i.e. omelette would be such a nice treat. And some more fresh fruit. Unfortunately. bananas mixed with oranges every single day, and the same dried fruit... During our stay pretty same things on plates for breakfast all 2 weeks long.

Better mattresses, another sharp knife (a bread knife was not sufficient), free WiFi throughout the complex.

In general it was a very nice stay, the staff was GREAT, any issues we had was promptly fix by them and they were always available. We order a bottle of Prosecco for the first night, they forgot to place it in my room, but the next day they apologised and gift us an amazing bottle of white wine. It's extremely easy to book the umbrella and the towels for the pool, or to rent a car, they just fix it in minute! The breakfast is various and everyday has some different additions, also is extremely various, from savoury to sweets. Carlo, the chef, is the sweetest and incredibly helpful, but also the receptionist that help us a lot, she is incredible! Also regarding the location, you have everything close by: SPAR supermarket, bus stops, restaurants and beaches. 5min walking basically. I would not recommend this hotel to whoever wants to party hard (Playa del Cura, in general, is not a party location. If you are looking to do that, you should go to Maspalomas or Playa del Ingles). But, cocktails are huge and cheap, I recommend to try the Curasol :)

The only thing I would say was not ideal is the lack of Air conditioning or fan. The bed is quite hard but it is not something you cannot sleep on it.
