The hotel was fantastic in every way, Our room had a sea view which was picture perfect. The staff were really helpful. Our room was clean and tidy with really comfortable beds. The terrace was small but the view was to die for. There is no air conditioning but we had a fan which we asked for and that was enough with the sea breeze. It can be noisy because of the sea but we loved going to sleep and waking up with the sound of the waves crashing, This is a place we will be coming back to. The location is perfect and the cafeteria food is exceptional. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but it looked really good and great value.

Leaving it ! The terrace could have had some better furniture and it would have been great to have some umbrellas or chairs for the beach.

Friendly professional staff, perfect beach front location, excellent breakfasts with everything you could wish for, lots of fresh fruit, yoghurts, freshly squeezed orange juice, bread, croissants, cakes, meat, cheese, jams, toast, cooked bacon, eggs to name a few. The dinner was top class, we had the menu of the day and each course was fabulous, served in a professional and friendly manner.

AS with most hotels the bathroom sealant was very discoloured as was the grouting in the tiles, no extractor fan. No air conditioning in the room. The hotel was lovely but just needs a little TLC, however would still highly recommend and visit again.

Staying oceanfront in Rebadesella cannot be beat! The location of the Silkin with its meaningful history is a rich experience. Walking & watching the sea throughout the day...along with the river & the mountains provides a surreal postcard experience. The restaurant, altho pricey, was wonderful :-)

A BIG negative for us was no coffee maker of any sort in the room. Also would be nice to have a 'shelf' of some sort beneath the sink to store personal toiletries. Making the swimming pool operable would add a lot to the experience...it was painful seeing it cordoned off...

A beautiful room with a superb location. We returned for our last night as it was in easy reach of Santander to board our boat the next day.

Availibity of food. A welcome note to let us know about evenig meals, times and the need to book for dining and the alternatives at the bar. The hotels mostly stuck to the southern spainish convention of no service before 8.30pm which was too late for us although we did find a nearby round the corner which served brilliant meals from 7.30 onwards with excellent service. There was no shared tip box at reception. When we booked in their system didn't flag up we had been there before, rather a lack of the 'personal touch'

Beautiful location along the beach. The staff were all extremely professional and pleasant. Very convenient if you are walking the Camino. Beautiful swimming pool.

Silken recently bought the property and is planning an upgrade for this coming winter. Once that is done, I am certain that the property will merit a higher rating. They need to spiff up some of the common areas as well as making sure the fine dining option is available to more of their guests. It also would be helpful if they installed air conditioning units in the rooms if it is to truly be a four star resort.

Our experience was fabulous! The room was extremely clean, had beautiful views out and had a balcony. Great sheets, pillows, nice shower, & had the thickest towels. Breakfast was an extensive buffet with lots of cut fruit, pastries, eggs, and everything else (lattes, tea, tostada con tomate, etc). In the evening we thought we'd have to go into town for dinner, but the cafeteria (with a beautiful view of the beach) was open and had a nice menu. The waiters were happy to get you whatever you needed. Very friendly place. My husband said they made him coffee at 6 am! They had a room to store our bicycles. I recommend it and I would love to go back!

All was great.

We stayed on the day of the national power cut and the team at the hotel, especially reception, were simply fantastic. Despite the lack of power they did everything possible to make sure we could check in, use the garage for our motorcycle, get luggage to the room and have a picnic dinner on our balcony. A huge thank you from us. The hotel is right on the beach and close enough to walk into the town, a great location. Our room had a sea view and this definitely added to the feel good factor of the stay. Breakfast was extensive and had everything you could want.

Fantastic accommodation in an awesome location. We had a third floor room with a huge picture window and balcony looking out over the river and town, so beautiful. Our immaculate room had a king-size bed with quality linen and good pillows. The modern bathroom had luxurious thick towels. There was plenty of storage space for our luggage. Staff were fantastic - friendly, helpful and considerate. We had an excellent coffee in the beachside Cafe, also with great service. If only we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful location on promenade. Lovely decor and exceptional staff both at reception and in bar/restaurant. Our rooms were very spacious and in the Old Palace part of hotel - the decor throughout was very tasteful. The hotel is spotless. We ate in hotel on both nights and the food was delicious. It is only a 15 walk into town over the bridge. Very close to Camino route

Restaurant and bar food not available until 8.30 pm but we accept that this is the Spanish time for dinner.

Large airy rooms with generous balconies, either with sea view or town view (both aspects are very attractive). Good bathrooms, surface car parking and there is also a restaurant (which we didn't try). Also an excellent and varied buffet breakfast. Great location.

The reception staff let the hotel down, possibly their systems need an upgrade as everything takes forever and there seems to be a lot of confusion. There's a lot of three people attending to one query ignoring the rapidly forming queue. It means there is no welcome as such and even a straightforward check-in involved a lot of head scratching and conferring amongst the staff with none of them actually talking direct to the guest.
