Once inside the hotel, it was easy to forget it was situated on a busy road. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing and the views at the rear, beautiful - especially over the pool area to the mountains beyond. Our room was light and spacious and comfortable. The restaurant welcoming and the food delicious.

We were disappointed when we arrived to be told that our room was the other side of the busy road from the hotel. This wasn't mentioned on Booking com. There was an alternative room available in the main hotel for Eu 20 more so we chose to pay the extra.

Very clean place, they pay attention to details, gorgeous interior design. If you want a very relaxing stay, here is the perfect place, far from the noisy towns, just nature and some beautifully designed interiors where you can stay and read or whatever you want to do. If you are an active traveller, it is also the perfect place if you came by car. The location is 10 minutes from Tarifa and less than 15 from Algeciras. You can easily get to ferries for Tangier or Ceuta or to Gibraltar. Good food in the restaurant, breakfast, lunch and dinner, open until 11 PM. They have a delicious sangria. Their greatest advantage is the high level of quality vs. price.

The internet is pretty bad /slow, at least in our room, close to the pool. If you need to work and have online meetings, probably you have to move somewhere closer to the source, in some of the relaxing places that they have.

It’s was a really nice stay, room was impeccable, food on half board menu was lovely and plenty to choose from. Gardens are stunning !

It was all perfect

Beyond expectations: Truly beautiful, charming and spotless. Decor was gorgeous. We arrived later in the evening and were met with warmth and cheer. We received rooms on the first floor so we didn't have to take luggage upstairs. Dinner was served until 10 p.m. which was so helpful as we'd been traveling all day, and we didn't want to leave the hotel to find something so late. We did not want to navigate Tarifa at night, so this spot was perfect--super close but nestled in greenery in the hills. Don't let the road-side location deter you. Our rooms were quiet, lovely and the beds were excellent. We paid for breakfast, and it was huge: Warm bread, warm croissants, scrambled eggs, meat, cheese, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice and more. It was raining, so we didn't use the pool, but it was absolutely lovely and the large patio area was stunning. Do not hesitate to book this property; we were extremely lucky to find it. There is a lovely gift shop for guests, and the decor in the dining area and throughout was stunning--gorgeous wood-burning fireplaces, multiple sofa areas to gather, table and seating areas for cards and games, and the dining area was beautiful.

The rooms and restaurant have this lovely aesthetic. Think white washed wood, linens, rattan lamps. Very luxurious and comfortable.We stayed in a bungalow amoung the lush trees with our 2 kids. Beds are comfortable, and the rooms are warm and pretty spacious. WiFi is good for streaming movies at night. Has a little fridge and kettle which was so handy. The restaurant, while a bit pricey, is delicious and has such a beautiful atmosphere.

It's located on the side of a very fast road which makes it hard arriving and departing by car. There is an underpass for pedestrians.

We loved our stay here and definitely plan to go back. The spacious garden bungalow we had was fantastic being of brick construction (others were of wood) and in a quiet secluded spot, yet just a short walk to the lovely pool as well as the main hotel building. We booked half board which proved to be a good decision as there are no other restaurants in walking distance. The food was very good too!

The only thing to mention is the pathways through the lovely mature gardens, which were quite over grown and very uneven under foot. So much so that it could be a problem for people with mobility issues.

We reserved a cabin for 2 adults and 2 children and the cabin was a good size, the rooms were clean, well equipped and perfect for all of us and our medium sized dog. It is a dog friendly hotel in all areas except the restaurant. We felt really comfortable from the moment we checked in and even ended up staying an extra night because we were all having such a nice time. The gardens are incredible and we felt like it all belonged to us due to the privacy we felt on our cabin terrace as we sipped a beer and enjoyed the view. The breakfast was varied and great quality and the restaurant offered so many good dishes even my kids loved everything they tried - which is unheard of.

The wifi could have been better but it felt like a small thing given all of the other positives.

On arrival, we were warmly greeted and generously upgraded to a room with a wonderful balcony for our 2 week stay! It was magical! This was our 2nd time staying here. This hotel is an authentic Spanish hotel with Spanish staff which we love. The setting is so beautiful, lush and green, filled with bird song. There is a beautiful swimming pool. There is a wonderful selection of fresh food for breakfast and dinner. They cater for gluten free. The new Terrace restaurant is fantastic! The installation of a new elevator has made all areas accessible! All of the staff were so helpful. This hotel is around 15 minutes from Tarifa and Algeciras. There is a local bus service. The nearby petrol station has a small convenience store which is handy. We will definitely stay here again 😀

Yet another wonderful 2 week stay in the Meson! Fantastic staff, so helpful. Beautiful setting with wonderful trees and flowers around. We live this particularly! Lovely food. Breakfast buffet, fabulous selection! Very reasonable dinner prices with very good selection on the A la carte menu. Option of the stunning setting of the outdoor terrace or indoor dining. Authentic rustic Spanish feel, small hotel... personal. Just what we love!! Perfect location for many amazing birdwatching sites. 15 mins from Tarifa by car to visit. Love this part of Spain! We will return yet again!!

The entire hotel was beautiful. Loved the views, our patio and the restaurant. The pool area was comfortable. Liked the mini market next door at the gas station. Parking was so.easy, too. Right outside the door. Don't let the location make you think it is noisy. It was very quiet. We loved the staff! So nice!!

It's farther than we like from town. When we typed in the address of the hotel, Maps shows it in town. Use booking.com link on the site to get the correct place.
