We had an absolutely phenomenal time here! After 2 flight cancellations and lost luggage, the manager Pepe was incredibly accommodating of a late check-in, helped us book a taxi from Algeciras, set us up with breakfast in our room since we would be leaving early to catch the ferry, etc. The property itself is a super walkable location in the old quarter. It’s beautifully decorated with a lovely courtyard with a fern wall. The breakfast was excellent with freshly squeezed orange juice. All in all excellent hospitality/service, location, aesthetic and all the details were super thoughtful! Room was spacious and comfortable!

The room space, the staff is incredible, everything is beautiful and spacious.

I liked everything. It could improve having vegetables at breakfast (although I got my own and they let me use all the kitchen utilities 🙏🏾) and the bed is a bit soft but I guess that comes about personal needs. I would rate it a 10/10. The Rooftop is insane, you can just grab food and have a nice dinner (no microwave here tho) under the moon overviewing the city and Africa. It’s a beautiful place and I would come back.

The staff especially, Milia was wonderful and could not do enough for us. We had to leave early for the ferry to Tangiers before breakfast. She arranged for breakfast to be delivered the night before so we could eat something. We were worried about leaving our luggage in the car and she immediately offered to allow us to store it at the hotel. We really appreciated the kindness and consideration and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Breakfast wasn't great (OJ and yogurt were yucky). Had to go to front desk to reset a/c. Electrics powered by key card inserted in slot by room door. I strongly recommend you leave the key card in and have either a night light or one of the two bathroom lights on. I took the key card out, woke up in the middle of the night with no lights, had to feel around desk for my key card, then gingerly make my way to the room door to insert card in slot and turn on bathroom lights. It was a bit of an annoyance. Every member of the staff was super, just really nice and helpful. Room was well furnished, bed very comfortable. Knowing what I know now, I will return as I have to go to Tarifa every three months.

Everything was exceptional. Incredibly cool hotel. Perfectly clean. Super cool design, without being over the top. Clean lines, cement design. One of the best hotels I've stayed with for this price. The staff is extremely nice as well.

The sole tiny mistake I would say in all of it is the breakfast. The cheese was bland, the bread was nothing special, and you had cheap, supermarket quality Italian ham. The fruits were amazing, the chia bowl as well. Everything top notch, but Italian Prosciutto? Really??? In Spain??? Get some regular Jamon in. I'm sure you can find some good one for an ok price.

everything was perfect and over the expectations. the hosts are super welcoming and a common kitchen with fruits and beverages is complementary with the stay. all the areas and rooms are really well designed and The fact that I am an architect specialized in boutique hotel (the firm is ovre.design) can confirm that. the room is cozy and detailed in every aspect, from the interior design to the comfortable bed to the beauty amenities you will find. Of course from the professional point of view I would have chosen some finishes differently but that’s a technical side that influences the hosts more than the clients. I especially appreciated the warm lighting effect, that makes you feel calm and energized at the same time. the staff is amazing, ready to welcome your request and to give you tips about the city. I ‘ve slept in hundreds of hotels in my life and I can surely tell this one (within its price level and clients target) is absolutely excellent.

We loved the Kook hotel! Decorated funky in a very cool way. The mattress was comfortable and the room was very quiet with a nice hot shower and good water pressure. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much. The hotel is really clean and the breakfast was fantastic and really healthy. Coffee, flavored water and fruit was available 24/7 at no extra charge. The location was close to everything and only about a 10 minute walk to the ferry and beach. The roof top terrace was also really nice with a view of Morocco in the distance. I just wish we could have stayed longer!

The location was good. Breakfast had all a person would want. Having tea, coffee, flavored water, and fruit available all day was a plus. We had terrace which is always nice when you are spending 4 nights. Thanks to Pepe for making sure that we had a taxi to bus station the early morning when we left the hotel. He also helped us with luggage as taxis have to come to street outside old town area.

Service was more than expected. We had an early bus ride and could not eat breakfast. They made up some sandwiches and other items and gave them to us the night before. You can have coffee and fruit all day long. We were also helped with getting the bus and some food recommendations. The city was more than we expected and we should have booked a longer stay.

Kook was an absolute delight in every way. Orianna was helpful in recommending a good restaurant and gave us a thorough orientation to all the amenities. Irene prepared a beautiful buffet of breads, meats, eggs, muesli, fresh fruit, coffee and tea. We found the decor to be refreshingly quirky. It's a rare thing for me to find a hotel so comfortable and unique that I didn't want to leave.
