This was the best hotel stay I've experienced. It is a familly run hotel with excellent cooks and great amenities such as a really clean and inviting pool and a nice balcony. I like the traditional decore as well. In their restaurant, I ordered a rare steak. Perfectly rare from edge to edge. I ordered oven cooked fresh fish from Tarifa. Perfectly done. Octopus for lunch, amazing. And do yourself a favor, try their sweet and sour salad with goat cheese. I ordered it three times it was so good. I was constantly impressed by how well they take care of the hotel and their guests. My room had a great view of the nearby mountains. I swam in the pool several times to cool off as it was summertime. And this hotel was a couple minutes walk from the windsurfing school I attended during the stay.

There does not seem to be a local bus that stops along the main road, so I took a taxi more than I would have likes since Tarifa taxis are a bit more expensive than the other Spanish towns I've visited. This obviously is of no fault of the hotel.

Quite good location if you prefer wild beach, just need to cross the road. The room is comfortable, very clean, with small fridge, they also have a restaurant. To the Tarifa just 7 minutes by car. Good option fior small holiday stay.

There no glasses or possibility to make tea in the room. At least glasses could be provided.

Everything was exactly as sold and the big tick was the air conditioning working regardless of the time of day or temperature. 4 and 5 star hotels that I have stayed in on this trip don’t advertise the AC isn’t available all the time. It’s only when you arrive you find this out. La Codorniz AC just worked and kept the room pleasant. Big big tick.

Nothing, it was exactly as sold.

Very nice rooms, we had a room with terrace at the grass side like on the pictures. It is exactly as shown, and a very comfortable relaxed place. Swimming pool was nice and not busy at all. Perfect for kitesurfers, you can just cross the street and you are at the beach!

The staff is very honest and helpfull. We left valuable thing in the apartment, they found it and helped us to get it back. It is good to stay at place runed by good and honest people. The location is fantastic, 5 minutes walk to the great beach next to the ocean. Breakfast is good for good price here. Rooms are cleaned every day. Good place to stay ;)

The bungalow had a mini fridge inside, which was perfect. Tranquil place, a dream, to be honest. Perfect for kids. The pool was amazing, with unlimited access. Rooms were cleaned with new towels and bedsheets daily. Amazing restaurant with great breakfast and staff. We will definitely visit again.

Shower water was so hot you could burn yourself, so be careful!

This hotel served us as a nice oasis on a hot summer day while travelling Estepona-Gibraltar-Seville. Pool was very refreshing at +38 air temperature. Good location if you have a car: close to Tarifa and since the beach had many algae, which our kids didn't like, we chose to go to Playa Bolonia, which is also just a short drive. Although I and my wife would have stayed in Tarifa beach, which was totally empty. Sounds like a good place for relaxing getaway. Also, they served inexpensive breakfast.

Beach is actually about 500 m from the hotel. Breakfast was very light (but it is true in many other places in Spain). Rooms might need refurbishment soon, but are still good for 3*. A bit pricey.

The location is great, within walking distance from Arte Vida and Africana chiringuitos on the beach and a short drive from the old town. The rooms are clean, a decent size, with comfortable beds. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant food smells amazing and there is always clientel coming and going which is a good sign. Overall, I would recommend and would book again.

The aircon unit seemed old and wasn't really working, so it was quite warm in the room. We managed opening the window but can imagine in the full heat of summer a functioning aircon would be required or at least a fan in the room.

Nice room with a balcony, clean, and has AC. Close proximity to La Pena park with beautiful trees, and close to the beach. The staff were helpful and kind - they helped us hail a taxi for the ferry, and cleaned our room every day. Lovely surrounding. We didn’t try the food. The only downside was the one elongated pillow - it was uncomfy.

Nice breakfast for just 5 euro. Swimming pool and sun beds available on the back side of the garden. Nice for children Restaurant on side as well Position close to the beach side. Just 5 km from Tarifa. Easy parking

Quite difficult and a little bit dangerous cross the national road in front to the property to enter into the beach side area.
