I stayed at this hotel for two nights and found it to be clean, with helpful and accommodating staff. Its central location makes it ideal for reaching not only the city centre, but also scenic viewpoints, seaside areas, and especially the port district.

The hotel’s paid parking is essentially a private garage, to which guests are not given keys: once the car is parked inside, it remains there until a member of staff retrieves it for you. This is certainly not ideal if you need regular access to your vehicle, as it significantly limits guests’ freedom. It is suitable only if you do not plan to use the car during your stay.

It's a small operation but, oh so centrally placed literally yards from the Old Town of Tarifa. The staff were 𝙨𝙤 friendly and accomodating, and the Hotel had 𝙡𝙤𝙖𝙙𝙨 of character. It literally used to be an old 300-ish year old Convent and the building and décor has respected the layout and materials used. The Cafeteria closes at 2100, which is understandable since the bedrooms open out onto the expansive enclosed open area which leads on from the Cafeteria, The rooms were clean, expansive and very well appointed,

Convento Tarifa Hotel is ideally located in the center of Tarifa. A wonderful small, tasteful and well kept hotel. The staff went out of their way to help us find a suitable parking space and were thoroughly nice. The room was very large it had a small separate sitting room and the bathroom was also large and well designed with lovely embroidered towels. There is also a gym and generally a lot is done to present local handicraft objects to decorate the hotel.

It was a pity that as we were leaving at 8 AM we could not have breakfast that starts only at 9 AM.

Both our room and bathroom were big enough (with a good shower too)! The room was on the first floor and the window was giving on the main street so we couldn’t really open the curtains but that was not an issue for us given that we were barely in during the day! The location is beyond perfect, few steps from the walls of the old town. The parking area is just around the corner and it costs 15€ per day (keep in mind that it is very hard to park in the streets due to high number of cars). The lady at the reception was the sweetest and most helpful. We didn’t try their breakfast (15€ per person) however there is a very nice italian coffee shop with a lot of sweet and savoury options a few meters away from the hotel.

The property is close to the ferry and as our trip was linked to a trip to Morocco the location was ideal. The hotel was lovely, bright, clean and very comfortable with all the expected amenities.

One of my selection filters was for available parking. It would have been helpful for the parking instructions to be provided as what was required was to stop at the hotel, unload and a staff member would guide you to offsite parking. This was all fine and the parking was secure but on a small busy street when you are looking for attached parking it created some confusion.

WE came to Tarifa as a jumping off point for Morocco. The hotel was located 7 minutes walk from the port and 3 minutes walk to Tarifa old town. I was in communication with the hotel before arrival and they arranged to hold my car for the entire time I was there (including the time spent in Tangier). The owner was very friendly and helpful and sent us off to one of the best meals in the trip.

Beautifully renovated former convent. Rooms are simple but comfortable. Great bed and a large walk in shower. Parking is nearby and secure and we were able to leave our car for a few days while we travelled to Morocco. Easy walking distance to the old town and to the ferry.

No tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast doesn't start until 9am, so too late for the early ferry

In a great central location. Room is basic but comfortable.

The property is advertised as having parking. However, this is off site and about 2km from the property (we were escorted to take our vehicle to and from a locked garage). Not a problem but something to consider if you need to access your car easily during your stay. The building is lovely with many historical touches. During our stay there was constantly lots of dirty laundry piled up all over the stairs to and from our room. Not only unattractive, but also a potential trip hazard.

We went for the carnival so the whole town was busy, however, the price was still really good. The suite we had was spacious with high ceilings and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was also large, clean and modern. We didn't see much else of the hotel however, we had breakfast in the downstairs café (extra charge) and it was also excellent.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. They even parked our car for us. The breakfast bar was great and very reasonable. Location excellent and all services as expected. We have stayed in many places in Tarifa and this was up there. Would definitely return.
