Excellent staff, very very helpful, the hotel was very good value for money We upgraded on arrival and the room had a huge comfortable bed

Location was chosen as we had a car and drove straight into the area, we didn’t want to drive into the city area, it’s very difficult to navigate around if your hotel in the old town. We got free parking on the street so that was a bonus. However if we went again we’d take the train and stay in the city centre. The hotel was ok , we enjoyed walking into the centre, down to the beach, ( 1 hour walking) and to the oceanographic, took us roughly 30 /40 minutes to the city centre. However it’s probably better to hire bikes and cycle everywhere. It’s very easy for cycling.

The hotel is well connected to russafa and it was very clean and the stuff are really so nice, only the kids area is just a small room for toddlers don't expect much if you have elder children

I would recommend the hotel for both short and longer stays. I opted for a 10-day stay and I think it was the best choice. The hotel itself makes a very good impression from the first moment and the comfortable sofas in the lobby invite you to relax. We were certainly met with a very friendly welcome that made us feel welcome and looked after. The hotel offers free luggage storage for its guests. Upon check-in, the hotel presented us with a map of the city and an invitation to a welcome drink, which was undoubtedly a sign of care for the wellbeing of guests. A pleasant surprise from the hotel was the offer of a room upgrade at no extra charge. The hotel certainly provides a comfortable stay and the very tasty breakfasts complement the experience perfectly. The rooms have numerous amenities such as, free wi-fi, air conditioning and a private bathroom. The hotel is located in the heart of Valencia, halfway between Valencia's old town and The City of Arts and Sciences. Very close to bus stops which will help you to get around the city efficiently. I would sincerely recommend this hotel.

The location is good, it takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to the newer part of the city, i.e. to the Museum of Science and Art, Hemospherica and Oceanography, to the center, i.e. the old part of the city, it took about 30 minutes to walk, it is also well connected by transport when it comes to the old part of the city, there is bus 7, which goes very often and the station is close to the hotel, the rooms are cleaned every day and the towels are changed regularly, the breakfast is ok if you don't stay longer than three days, but if you stay longer then it becomes monotonous, because the offer is the same every day

The insulation is quite bad, we heard people in the room above us who moved the beds in the room every night, also the hotel is on the back of the main roads, so the traffic noise is great

The restaurant food on our first night was overcooked and the waiters were not bothered to enquire if everything was ok. We gave them the benefit of the doubt & had a table for our second night. After half an hour we went and fetched our own menu. When we finally got served we ordered food & a jug of sangria. Again we waited a long time & then our food arrived. We had almost finished eating before they brought our drinks with no apology for its delay. The restaurant was not busy so either! The food was mediocre. A shame as it spoilt our stay.

I stayed at this hotel with my spouse and our 4 year old daughter and we loved our experience. The rooms were spacious with amazing beds. The hotel was clean with a modern atmosphere and an excellent restaurant. We chose to have breakfast every morning and I 100% recommend getting it if you're visiting with kids. The quality and the selection of food did not disappoint. We also ordered from the restaurant a few times during our stay and the food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is of the highest quality and the chefs and cooks are really skilled at their trade. Another positive was the friendly nature of all of the staff. Every employee from check in to check out shined with a positive and happy personality. They were so helpful in ordering us cabs, storing our luggage, and informing us about all that there is to do in Valencia. Malcom and Barret will be our go to hotel for all of our future visits to Valencia. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

On arrival the greeting at the desk was absolutely so heart warming . We were made welcome,offered cava on arrival. Our holiday began wt that moment the cleanliness and modern young feel about the hotel, relaxed dining room near lobby was incredible . Clients were mixed nationalities. Everyone happy and positive.

There wasn't anything at all. Suited us girls over 60 on a girlie road trip. Truly the pubs and shops from hotel to trains station were classy, modern and different so we loved the journey to be city center A little pool would be great!! Got by without it.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Check in was easy and fast. There was an option of two rooms, one in the main building with a standard sized double bed (135cm) or in the adjacent building with a large king (160cm). They offered a welcome drink of cava, too, which we enjoyed later! Our room was small but very comfortable, bathroom clean with everything we needed. An excellent location with easy access to the city centre via bus (route information provided by the receptionust). In the evening after our welcome drink we dined in the hotel and had an enjoyable meal.

Very small issues! Lack of power points in the bedroom. A bedside table on one side of the bed only. Hot breakfast wasn't hot!

Malcom and Barett in Valencia is a jewel: very nice furnished, simply but functional. The staff at the reception was really helpful, the bar amazing. The location is a bit far from the historic centre (but still in a walking distance, if you're fit), but relatively close to the City of Arts and Sciences. The advantage? Parking in the street was not so difficult (though - the hotel itself provides parking as well). All in all, I can really recommend staying at this hotel.

Difficult to find something. Perhaps, the bed was too soft and the liquid soap dispenser in the bathroom too complicate to open. As you see - nothing much to criticize.

Excellent sized room and bed for 2 adults and a toddler, all very clean and well kept. Playroom really useful for having a bit of a space that toddler could go to and play. Staff all very helpful and kind. Breakfast was great. Dinner also very good when we had this one night. All in all would stay again. It was far out to walk from the central and old town but you can get buses and metro. Close enough to walk to the ciutat de artes and ciencias.

Slightly further out of the centre than anticipated but still can reach by bus, tram or taxi easily. And good to walk!
