The staff was friendly. The breakfast was very good and it was also possible to ask for à la carte dishes within the already included breakfast. The location is convenient.

The internet did not work two times. The staff kindly explained there were internet issues in the whole hotel, which later were fixed. However, having internet troubles in two separated days in a stay of six days affected my remote work duties. Although the lights combine with the old style of the room, I found them too soft and did not illuminate well for working purposes. Installing at least a lamp with white light in the desk could be a solution.

Location in the business district was quite close to the old town. With 40 degree temperatures it was good to be able to use the rooftop pool. Air conditioning in these exceptional temperatures was a real bonus.

Despite being changed several times our hotel keys were never able to open the doors to the rooftop pool. Some other hotel visitors also had the same problem and had to rely on staff or other visitors to gain access. Pool access only allowed from 11am so temperatures had already reached the high 30s which was disappointing as earlier access would have been more advantageous in that heat. No bottled water available for gratis in the room.

The wi if in our room didn’t work. We had to go to the public areas to use the internet. The hotel was great, it was a shame that it was let down by that.

The location was perfect! The hotel very traditionally decorated with great stain glass windows, great roof top pool. Good towels, and the bathroom had a very modern bath inside the shower, the toiletries were personal to hotel and good quality. The beds a little soft compared to other hotels. Staff were very helpful! Food and drinks was good! The air conditioning was good and parking was easy.

Wi-Fi kept breaking up in room, but better on the roof! The room was dark as not much light comes through the window. That’s all.

Centrally located, close to historical sites as well as restaurants, this is a very very good hotel. I probably should say 'excellent' but my wife reminds me that there could have been more shade by the pool. By far and away though, I will remember this hotel for the staff. These people are excellent. They are both friendly and professional, not least the laundry staff who made possible a miraculous removal of 'una mancha de vino tinto' from my wife's white trousers. This was our second visit to this marvelous city. I hope there will a third and if there is, we shall stay again at Hotel Palafox :)

I am unable to think of anything I did not like - ok, perhaps a minor (and reluctant) grumble about a lack of shade by the pool.

Fantastic location. Saw some poor reviews online and had low expectations but it exceeded them. A lovely comfortable hotel close to all the must see places. Sometimes I think people expect 4Seasons hotel for a quarter of price! Highly recommend and parking fantastic for its convenience.

Best shower ever and nice amenities

Hotel was easy to find the roof top pool was smallish but very clean. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast offered a good variety of courses and staff were pleasant.

I would not stay at this hotel again due to the underground car park. I have a mid size 4 wheel drive car and although Spanish car parks can be tight however in the last 5 years i have never encountered one this bad and scuffed 2 of my alloy wheels on the very high kerb, the entrance in and out was too tight for my vehicle. If I had been made aware I would have used alternative parking as I now face a £400 refurb bill.

The hotel is basically very good, The staffs, in general, are well trained, kind and do proper jobs. The quality of interior of the hotel is of high standard.

The hotel is very good, except for the wifi connection, which is not of the proper quality required for the 5 star hotel. In the room, the connection is often disconnected, which caused much inconvenience. During work on my laptop, I had to move it to find a good connection point in my room, which is close to the door of the room. It should be improved significantly.

The hotel is beautiful. The bed was very comfy. The room very clean. Towels lovely and big. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. Ideal location for everything. We would definitely stay there again. We drove from Santander on route to Barcelona for one night and we used the parking opposite the hotel and it turned out to be cheaper than the hotel. The breakfast was amazing. So much choice and the head waiter couldn’t do enough for us.
