We absolutely loved this place! We chose to spend our final week in Sri Lanka at the Green Edge Villa to make the end of our trip truly special—and it exceeded all expectations. The room we stayed in was incredible, the staff was wonderful, and the view along with the pool was simply amazing. It’s a peaceful retreat, set slightly back from the main road, which we considered a bonus. The manager and “hostel mom,” Shandria, were always available and ready to assist us with anything we needed—truly exceptional people. Thank you for making our last week in Sri Lanka so unforgettable!

I had an amazing stay at this place! It offers exceptional value for money with everything you could ask for. The authentic Sri Lankan food was absolutely delicious, giving us a true taste of local flavors. The breathtaking views from the property made every moment feel special. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. Its location is perfect—just a short walk to the beach, and the area felt very safe. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic experience!

Me and my partner stayed at Green Edge Villa for two nights. We were absolutely blown away by the beauty and cleanness of this place. I was in awe of the pool overlooking the rice fields. The location is fantastic, in nature but only a 10 minute walk from all the best bars and food locations. Chandrika was the most attentive, kind host we could have asked for. She was so welcoming, friendly and prepared the best breakfast. As were the younger boys that worked there. Overall, we could not recommend this hotel more and you would be silly not to stay here. Just perfect!

That we didn’t stay longer!

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful accommodation. We were warmly receive by Chanrika. She is always in for a chat and manages the hotel with love. The rooms are clean, comfortabel and have a beautiful view over the rice fields like in the picture. Breakfast is recommended. They make delicious pancakes with coconut and omelet besides some toast. Everyone can use the kitchen and fridge privately as well. The location is nice and quiet and within 10 minutes you walk to the beach. We had 2 surf lessons. The owner of the hotel was not at the location but made sure to contact us to see if everything was okay which was really nice. The price is excellent for what you get and we felt very safe during our stay. All in all, I would really reccommend Green Edge Villa.

I don't usually eat breakfast, but a few times the staff cooked me a delicious omelette .

Staff was very responsive and accommodating Great location, it’s not facing the road, very isolated and quiet. Old building is a grand place, big clean rooms and renovated bathroom. The pool with the common area is a good addition to the villa. Very nice and quiet place.

Very quiet location “jungle side” but only a 15 minute walk to the beach - our rooms were spacious & comfortable with balcony overlooking rice field & feather pillows! Sumith the owner always available to help and his staff are very friendly.

Everything was perfect. Room and commune rooms were really clean. We had an upgrade of the room. The villa is surrounded by a beautiful garden where calm and tranquility reign. The boss, Chandrila and the staff are super friendly and they helped us during our stay. The breakfast of Chandrila was super delicious. She is so welcoming and nice woman and made us feel at home. We will come back for sure! Thanks again for everything

i met some lovely people there and would loved to stay longer. I can highly recommend going. the pool is nice, the host is super helpful and it’s overall a great place to stay. there’re two houses - one in the front with the pool and a second building behind it. next to the pool they have an open kitchen where you can cook your own food as well as store stuff in the fridge. lot of families were staying there during my stay.

just as fyi: it can be loud with all the wildlife around. I personally didn’t mind.

The villa is located walking distance from the Hikkaduwa Beach. The rooms were comfortable, clean and loved the paddy field view from the room. The pool is also being cleaned and maintained well. There are kitchen facilities with BBQ grill so you can get your food cooked as well. The staff is really friendly if you need any help they would help you. Highly recommend this place
