The staff were very kind and helpful with any request. Bobby who is the manager and the owner Peter went out of their way to make sure my friend and I had everything we needed. The rooms are spacious and clean. The beach is just outside the rooms with a nice infinity pool. The breakfast is so good! I suggest you request the Sri Lankan breakfast. This part of the beach is very quite and away from busy hostels down the beach. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the waves crashing. I will certainly be back.

I have no complaints or criticism

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Pearl Island Beach Resort from October 17th to 20th, and it was an unforgettable experience! The beach is stunning, with crystal-clear waters and soft sands that invite you to relax and unwind. The equally superb pool provides a perfect spot to soak up the sun. The staff were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The food was absolutely superb, with a great variety of delicious dishes. I highly recommend Pearl Island Beach Resort to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway in Hikkaduwa. I can't wait to return!

The enormous bed with mosquito net! The large bathroom, the fantastic pool exactly by the beach, open even after dark so you can watch the stars. The garden is splendid, well maintained and full of amazing little creatures. Even the sand on the beach is cleaned and leveled for the guests! Above all, staff brought turtle hatchlings for guests to release in the sea! They realy go above and beyond to give you an unforgetable experience! Staff make every effort to accomodate any possible wish you have! I asked for a kettle, was brought to my room. Asked if I can stay after the check out and I was offered all the facilities needed beyond any expectations!

There’s nothing not to like

We had the pleasure of staying at Pearl Island Beach Hotel for five incredible nights, and it was absolutely perfect! The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was delightful. The location? Unbeatable! Being literally on the beach, we loved spending our evenings on the balcony, soaking in the sound of the waves - a truly serene experience. What truly set this place apart, though, was the amazing atmosphere and exceptional staff. Every team member was a perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness, creating an environment that felt welcoming and effortless. The vibe was just right - not overly pretentious but warm, relaxed, and inviting. It felt like a little slice of paradise. This hotel has everything we could hope for, and we can’t wait to return to this gem of a place. Highly, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic beach getaway in Hikkaduwa.

Cannot recommend this place any higher!! We arrived early in the afternoon, but that was no problem. The owner Peter is a fantasticly lovely person, and so is his wife Cristina. They make you feel right at home. Also, their partner Holger is a great guy! They were friendly, had great tips, and enjoyed a beer every now and then. The hotel has recently hired a new chef, and the food was absolutely superb! The rooms were spotless, the swimming pool was extremely well maintained, and the staff was super friendly. We are currently traveling to the center of Sri Lanka, but we are definitely coming back here for a few days before our Holliday is over

Not a single complaint

An extraordinary location, directly on the beach, quiet, the room is equipped with everything you need, the pool is clean, select and quality people, the staff is very respectful, attentive, welcoming and jumpy in any situation. By far the best location we stayed at in the south of Sri Lanka, which I recommend! The beach is gorgeous, it is not crowded at all, but the waves are quite strong, at least when we were there, which means they are more suitable for surfing. But you can go to the beach for 5-10 minutes and find quieter areas where you can swim.

Great location on the beach & the pool is an added bonus. Sri Lankan breakfast is delicious & a great portion size to start your day. Western option is available too with a great selection of German breads. The staff really make this hotel, Bobby & team were fantastic & let’s not forget Bobbys dog! Fridge in room & additional beach towels were a welcome addition. Refreshing welcome drink on arrival. Short walk by road or beach to the local restaurants etc. We will stay here again!

Literally steps away from the beach. Extremely large King bed, good AC. Though not very elaborate, the breakfast was still great with fresh fruits, choice if American or Sri Lankan delicacies and tea/ coffee. Pool and beach umbrellas provided. Room very clean. Surroundings and verandah cleaned thoroughly each day. Location very close to the awesome Turtle beach

Only 2x half litre water bottles given on 1st day! I feel it should have been replenished everyday. But it's very cheap to buy from shop across hotel

This beachfront hotel is a hidden gem. Located in the heart of Hikkaduwa’s beach, I was blown away by its ocean view. One of my favorite moments was when in the pool, admiring the breathtaking sunset horizon, as it rained upon me. The sound of the rain drops meeting the water of the pool was truly beautiful and therapeutic. The restaurant made such the tastiest soup and butter fried shrimp I’ve ever, creating an everlasting impression on my palate and senses. I will be sure to return to the magical pearl of Hikkaduwa.

The first thing that comes to my mind when reviewing this hotel is fantastic Staff. Everybody here is very helpful, polite and kind. Location is perfect - walking distance from City Centre, yet on the other side in quiet area which is not crowded. Room was clean, spacious enough and comfortable. Very tasty breakfesf. Great swimmjng pool and beach area. I can definitely recommend this hotel - great value for money and amazing experience.
