A nice, like-new hotel with spacious and very comfortable rooms. Everything was clean, and the bed was simply the best ever. The staff was very helpful, fulfilling all our requests and assisting with transportation and sightseeing. The breakfast was diverse, with a great selection of fresh fruits. The location is rather quiet, right at the harbor with a beautiful view of the marina, yet all the essentials (beaches, restaurants, shops) are within walking distance. We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights and would highly recommend it to others.

There were some Wi-Fi issues, although overall, it was mostly available.

Emerald Bay is a nice hotel in Mirissa. It is very close to the Secret Beach and some 15min walking to the Mirissa beach. Room was clean and pretty big and breakfast had some nice choices of international and Sri Lankan food. They gave us beach towels which was vert much appreciated!

We got charged some 40dollars extra from the original booking.com price due to tourist tax and some other charges. It would be great to have the final price displayed already on booking.com when finalising the booking to avoid unpleast surprises.

Very helpful and friendly staff my room was cleaned and tidied every day and there was a good selection of food for breakfast freshly prepared, A nice size pool to cool off in and big enough to have a swim in The pool area was kept clean tidy fresh towels left out every day and staff would be there when I wanted drinks and food, there was a good selection of meals that could be ordered freshly prepared and would be brought up to the pool while I enjoyed the sun, The hotel was in a good location Over looking the harbour And short walk to the beach and the town, but there was always tuk tuk passing bye that would drop me at the main road where there was a great selection of cafes restaurants and shops I would not hesitate to book a stay here again thankyou to all the staff making my holiday a great experience great place Thank you again

The rooms were extremely clean and tidy and were a great size. The staff are excellent and an extremely attentive. The hotel is located within a 10 minute walk to secret and Mirissa beach. The rooftop pool is an amazing place to chill out in the afternoon and watch the sunset in the evening.

Everything got wet when you showered, but this isn't much of a problem as it dries out quite quick. Just leave the floor mat/towel outside the door. There was building work being done but it was all hidden away.

This hotel is a 100% recommendation. The rooms are very modern, the bed is extremely comfortable and the cleaning and service is excellent. The pool on the roof has a great view of the harbor. We really enjoyed our 8 days at The Emerald Bay. The staff were friendly, polite, welcoming and attentive. The rooms were big, bright and clean, and the location was ideal with respect to access to both Mirissa Beach and the ironically named Secret Beach. Breakfasts were very enjoyable, even if the team could do well to invest in a new toaster.

We stayed here for 10 days and couldn’t recommend more for location close to Mirissa Beach and a short tuk tuk to Welligama bay. The hotel felt very safe and our rooms were so comfortable and cleaned every day to a pristine condition. Best of all: the staff - each and every one so friendly, generous and helpful - always happy to assist with any of our queries. The breakfast here is also great! We loved our stay here

Lovely property - we had the best room on the top floor overlooking the harbour, the village and a vast amount of nature including peacocks, kingfishers, monkeys outside our room. Pool was lovely and staff very helpful. Tuk tuk driver at hotel to take us to Marissa (5 or sometimes 600 rupee) There were 88 steps to our room ( which was what we called the stairway to heaven🤣). Kept us fit and well worth the view all around us . Breakfast was lovely…… plenty and yummy

We came to Marissa to go Whale Watching with Raja and the Whale, the hotel is ideally situated for this as it is only 10m away from their office on harbour Road. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming the room was light an airy and the roof top pool was gorgeous with a view of the harbour. We only had breakfast on one of the mornings (whale watching started at 6am and they gave us breakfast), and it was delicious, freshly made Roti, Rice & Curry, a real treat! The hotel is also right beside the path to the "Secret Beach" where we went and saw the most beautiful sunset. We had mentioned when it was booking that we were travelling in Sri Lanka for our wedding anniversary and when we opened the door to our room it had been beautifully decorated by the wonderful Enuka, it really made our day!

Absolutely not the hotels fault, but a peacock flew into a 4th floor window and smashed it, the glass feel down and damaged the windscreen of our car. Thankfully the manager took control and spoke to our hire car and insurance company and sorted everything out, so the minus became a massive plus!
