Beautiful and luxurious safari tent accommodation on Weerawila Lake. I loved the tranquil location and enjoyed being completely immersed in nature with stunning views over the lake. The tents were well equipped and very comfortable with a decking area to sit and watch the wildlife. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful and organised a half day for me. There were other activities that could also be organised. Highlights for me included a massage with Charu in an open sided cabin high up in the tree canopy. Listening to the birdsong all around me whilst having a massage was an incredible experience. The second stand out experience was a bird watching tour within the Flameback Eco Lodge grounds with Thushan. He is very knowledgable and I learnt so much on our walk. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area is incredible and there are so many opportunities to take beautiful photos. The restaurant served a mixture of local and foreign cuisine and I enjoyed all the meals that I had there. The staff were always smiling and eager to please and I felt completely comfortable as a solo female traveller. Thank you to everyone at Flameback Eco Lodge for an unforgettable experience!

Amazing place! We had a such a great time staying at the Eco lodge with five star service from everyone at the Flameback , food are lovely and the swimming pool is well maintained we didn't want to leave! The lodge is not far from Hilton but the experience at this place was nothing to compare. We saw all the wild life, the beautiful sun rise , there were over 100 species of birds around the place. The pre drink by the lake and log fire watching little fireflies twinkling about was such a special experience. Really highly recommended.

We stayed at the new Villa. That was perfect for family since it’s huge two story villa and has a private pool. Initially I was bit nervous because there were almost no information about this villa. But we recognized that’s because this facility opened in the end of this month (Dec. 2024). Once my family arrived at this villa, we were immediately fascinated by this villa and great hospitality of the staff. I can recommend this although the gramping camp sites should be also good. In addition, location is good. We can enjoy game safaris for both Yala National Park and Udawalawe National Park since it’s located between both national parks. Finally, I was very satisfied with the email communication with Ms. Sonali Lowe (Manager - Sales & Reservations) prior to our stay, as it was both prompt and precise.

I am generally satisfied, but if I had to point out an area for improvement, it would be the internet connection.

It exceeded our expectations …. We booked last minute - arrived at the hotel at about lunchtime and then asked if we could do a Safari, within an hour, we were doing a fantastic Safari! It was on New Year’s Eve as well, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we got everything we needed, probably a 1-1 ratio of staff to customers. The showers a very good as well, which again exceeded our expectations.

There was nothing we didn’t like about it! I was a bit worried about all the bugs, but there was not one bug in our lodge. In fact, we had more bugs in our five star hotel than we did in this lodge..

Amazing location with easy access to Yala national Park. Beautiful surroundings with exceptional natural beauty. Very friendly stuff and well equipped for safari and bird watching. We had a great Safari tour with private guide to see rare animals and well organized! We stayed with our 7y/o son and he enjoyed every minute of our visit. Our tent/room by the lake with airco was very unique. Highly recommended! Rooms

We booked the honeymoon suite which was spacious and clean. The best part was the monkeys that love to come and visit . The staff went all out with an evening bonfire and cocktails by the lake . The pool is a great size to go for a proper swim . They have a great spa which is elevated amoungst the trees . I had a fabulous foot massage. ❤️

Gorgeous location. Staff helpful, polite and friendly. Impressed with the food and thought it was very reasonably priced, despite there being little choice of where to go as the hotel is far from anywhere else. Pool lovely. Glamping tents very clean with air con and a fan. Bed very comfy. We loved our 2 night stay. Would recommend.

The location by the side of the lake was beautiful. The staff were very interesting very friendly and helpful and it felt like our home for the short time we were there. We both loved it and will definitely come back.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. They were on hand to provide suggestions on local tours without being pushy. They also went out of their way to make us egg hoppers one day which we were really grateful for. The villa is new and really well furnished with super comfy beds and pillows.
