Everything was exceptional. The room was very spacious, clean, along with the bathroom, and it also offered a balcony overlooking the garden and the pool. The pool was also very clean, with a good atmosphere after sunset when the whole garden was lit up with various colored lights. Delicious breakfast was also included, which was packed for us and delivered to our room at 5 am on the day of our safari, the other day it was served to the cafeteria. Lunch and dinner can be ordered from the menu (western or sri lankan) which was also very delicious. However the highlight was the hospitality, every staff member was extremely helpful and kind. They even helped us with our bags, served us a welcome drink and attended to all of our needs. We will definitely come back in the future if we can. Eszter & Karim

The hotel is very sweet Everything is done with sense on taste and with local style. The room was super clean and comfortable with shampoo and conditioner and the soap provided also the hairdryer (if important, ladies). They greed you with welcome drink which is a nice touch (tastes awesome btw) and all the facilities are treated and taken care of. AC is brand new and makes no noice. Also the bed and the pillows were very comfy for me. So far it is one of the best places I stayed in a country also the breakfast was delicious. Fresh juice, eggs in any form you want, fresh warm pancake, small plate of seasonal fruit, toasts with salty butter and jam and the coffee. In comparison to many other places it is just perfect. Also the location is right by the river that gives you some jungle experience. I ve also seen there an amazing bird that I didn’t see anywhere in the country yet. I wish they were a chain in Lanka so that would make it easier to travel. The money you pay there are spent def with value.

There is a child I think it is an owner’s child and she starts running around in the morning passing by the corridor where the rooms are placed and she is quite loud :( I find it a bit irritating concerning that the place is so nice and good for restring . It is not a such big deal just a note to the owners to consider and to the travelers to be aware of :)

Everything was super and beyond🙏The room was just like in pictures and even more beautiful and cosy! The boys were cleaning all the time the property, so the whole place was spotless! The stuff was so nice and we actually made friends with them! 😍❤️Breakfast was very delicious and also the food served! Especially the Sri Lankan curry fish/chicken! So tasty! We spend four nights there, and also went to full day safari which the hotel was a arrenging to us. Our quide/Jeepguy Wiswar had some sixth sense, he was actually sensing the animals where they were, so we managed to see the leopard, bear, and also some fife or six different times the elephants, including one elefant family on the riverside bathing 😍 So summa summarum, we are more than happy this visit overall, can only highly recommend staying in River Front! 🙏

This hotel is ideal for a short stay combined with a visit to Yala National Park. We stayed for 2 nights. They provide a lunch package consisting of toast, a hard-boiled egg, fruit juice, banana, pineapple, a piece of cake and a bottle of water. After the Yala Safari, we enjoyed the pool and sunbeds under the palm trees. The small balcony was great to sit and enjoy the sunset (you can not really see the sunset because of the trees). There is not much to do or see in this area besides the Yala. For breakfast on the second day we had omelette, toast, fruit, fruit juice, yoghurt, coffee and tea. The dinner was very good but some dishes have to be pre-ordered latest at lunchtime. The rice with 4 types of curry was delicious. The staff was very helpful. After my girlfriend got sick they provided some "medicin tea". The room and the whole hotel have been very clean. The aircon and fan worked.

You could sometimes hear the outside module of the aircon, which switches on and off from time to time.

This was the best place we stayed in our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. Super luxurious room, loads of space, beautiful bathroom. Breakfast served on your own private terrace every morning. Our host couldn't be more helpful. Location is ideal, just a short walk to the beach and the turtles. We did witness the egg laying on the beach. Plenty of restaurants a short walk from the hotel. This place is truly a paradise.

It was absolutely perfect.

This was one of the best stays in Sri Lanka! The hotel staff was so accommodating, even waking up at 4:30 am to make us breakfast before our safari. They also arranged a taxi when it was time to go. We really loved dining in the restaurant (delicious Sri Lankan food) and talking to the staff to learn more about the country. Wonderful people here. The pool was an amazing bonus, the rooms were very clean, spacious, and had AC and hot water. I would love to return here simply to hang out at the hotel! It is a good proximity to Yala National Park and they can arrange a safari for you.

Nothing, it was perfect!

Everything about my stay here was perfect. The room was lovely and clean, big comfortable beds, high ceilings and spacious. The showers were lovely and hot too! We had a family room which was more than perfect for a family of 3. The staff were really lovely and helpful, I didn’t feel well whilst I was there (I’d gotten ill a couple of days before) and they really looked after me and got me some painkillers, and also let me check out late in the day so I could recover. They couldn’t have been more accommodating. Thank you so much for this! The pool was really nice too, clean and they had lovely lights to light it up in the evening which was cool. You’re able to swim until 9.30pm so it was the perfect place to cool down post safari. The safari organised by the hotel was fantastic, so well organised and we saw a leopard! Thank you so much for organising this for us, it was such a highlight of our trip! The restaurant also accommodated me for vegan food which was amazing, and the prices for the food are really reasonable. There is a town 5 minutes walk away if you want to go to a shop or get out of the hotel for a bit. I would 100% recommend my stay here to anyone and I would definitely return.

Excellent hotel - very clean and very modern. Rooms very spacious and comfortable with proper duvets and comfy pillows. Pool is fantastic and with many sunbeds to relax in. Pool towels were provided which were nice. Only stayed one night for the safari but wish we could’ve stayed longer. Nice garden faces the river which was a nice addition. There was a simple gym (treadmill and a multi use machine) but we didn’t try it out. Staff really friendly and helpful. They helped make a packed breakfast for the safari (for an 4:45am start) which was helpful.

Our stay was really perfect. The hotel was one of the cleanest we had in Sri Lanka, the pool is awesome and invites for relaxed hours. The room and its equipment was also impeccable. We spontaneously prolonged our stay for one more night because we just loved it. Tharindu and the rest of the staff were super attentive and fulfilled every wish. The restaurant was also yummy and the prices were reasonable. They even gave us a free bottle of water for the onward journey. The organization of the full day safari was easy and we got to see elephants and leopards with our guide Dinuka. The guide was also very good as he was very experienced (one time he predicted the exact point of a leopard crossing the road). All in all: If we ever come back to Tissimaharama, we will definitely stay there again!

Lovely and convenient place to stay when visiting Yala park. The hotel booked the safari, and provided us with a breakfast box the day of the safari. A special thanks to Prasanna, who was our driver during the safari. He was very skilled and we were one of the not so many cars that saw a leopard that day. The hotel also has a beautiful pool area and the staff are very friendly. Clean and convenient rooms.
