What a great place to stay. Family business providing great service including great food from restaurant. Clean comfortable room with everything you need. Pool was a great bonus after a day on Safari to relax and unwind.

We spent three nights here and had such a wonderful time. Kasun and Geethika were great hosts; friendly, chatty, and helpful. Nothing was too much for them and Kasun was very happy to get tonic for my wife which we really appreciated. They arranged a safari to Yala National Park which ended up just the two of us; it was wonderful with elephants and a leopard seen. They can arrange taxis and washing. The evening meals are freshly cooked and very tasty and made with little or no spice to suit our taste. The hotel is very clean and tidy and Kasun and Geethika take great pride in this. There was no signs of the wear and tear we have seen in other, more expensive places. The pool is lovely, cooling, and clean with areas of shade and those for sun loungers. The breakfast was really nice and included fresh fruit, toast and omelettes that were just lovely. We had a large double room that was spacious. The bed was two medium sized double beds put together which was amazingly comfortable. The aircon was great, the shower had multiple options and there is a covered seating area outside for relaxing. We have no hesitation recommend this and providing a high rating as we would definitely come back if returning to Sri Lanka.

This is a great place to stay just out of Tissamaharama. We enjoyed a nice bike ride to the different buddist temples and round the lake. We also watched the fruit bats come alive at sunset which was fun. Our host arranged our safari to Yala. The park was a bit disappointing as there are a lot of jeeps and its very busy, but this is not the hosts fault! The pool was fab to chill out in after safari:) Our hotel organised packed breakfast, bikes, safari , our laundry and onward transfer to Ella. The breakfast was also fantastic! Thanks for a lovely stay !

Yala Golden Wild is a hidden gem in the heart of Tissamaharama. The availability of super spacious en suite family rooms is ideal for families/ large groups. To add to the above, Kasun and his family are incredible hosts - True Sri Lankan hospitality, warmth and breakfast prepared with love - it was one of the best we’ve had in the area in quite some time. A spread of string hoppers, bread, pol rotti, accompanied with dhal, pol sambol, and a perfectly cooked Sri Lankan chicken curry was an absolute treat. We’ll definitely be back.

I thought that the accomodation was very good in that it was a very clean establishment. Also the WI-FI coverage was excellent. In turn I ate there most nights & the menu selection was quite wide & the resultant food was always very tasty. Also the pool was very clean & well maintained. Finally the manager - whose name I have forgotten unfortunately - was consistently helpful & cooperative. OK.

There was nothing that I really disliked.

We loved the food, which was delicious and clean. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms and pool were very clean and were equipped with all the facilities. It was really a good value for money. The staff went out of the way to fulfil our requirements.

The safari that was arranged was a little too expensive, and it felt like we didn't get the full value for the money spent.

Our family room was lovely and large. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom clean. The included breakfast was great - American style pancake and waffles with omelettes, sausages and fruit. We did have lunch and dinner here which was also tasty. We didn’t have time to use the pool but it looked clean and inviting.

The restaurant food was a little pricey.

The accommodations, including the room and bathroom, were impeccably clean, with all items clearly labeled as sanitized. The availability of hot running water was a welcome amenity. The hotel staff efficiently arranged our Bundala safari and provided an exceptional breakfast for our excursion. The swimming pool also met high standards.

Excellent location, pool was very clean and beautiful. Rooms very big, barth room clean and confortable beds . Staff helpful ,they organized yala safari tour and grate tour, we saw leopard , elephant ,lot of bird and meny animals. We recommend yala golden wild hotel and we try to come next year

The husband and wife couple were lovely! The husband is super friendly and smiley, and was incredibly flexible with us (twice) as our dates kept changing. Excellent communication. The pool is clean and the beds outside are great. Inside the room, the beds were comfortable and the aircon worked great.
